Is there any way to play the customs on wii via usb and no homebrew? Or on rb2 for 360?
March 24, 2014 at 11:04 pm #416190Not sure and definitely not.
March 24, 2014 at 11:13 pm #416192Dunno about the midi files or whatnot[probably requires midi reductions, idk], but you can get customs working in rb2[unmodded 360]. I don’t have a 360 anymore to test, but in the past I successfully got CON files working/loading in rb2 through pretty much the same loop hole rb3 has.
March 24, 2014 at 11:15 pm #416193Except im sure the op meant any easy way. Having to manually rebuild every song and lose features in the process is no more a solution than going shopping for a used rb3 disc.
March 24, 2014 at 11:18 pm #416195lol yeah.
March 24, 2014 at 11:33 pm #416197i think i should note my rb3 disc has very small cracks in the center of the disc. my xbox reads the disc on the main menu but when i try to play it(or install it) it says its too scratched up
March 25, 2014 at 12:33 am #416208How cracked is it? Maybe you can try to install it to your Xbox hard drive.
March 25, 2014 at 12:45 am #416209i try to but a message pops up saying its too scratched it didnt do this before
March 25, 2014 at 1:13 am #416218AnonymousI think best thing to do is get a new disc, install it onto harddrive, and play RB3 like that.
March 25, 2014 at 1:18 am #416220It also could be a sign that your disc drive laser is starting to go bad if it cant install discs. Its very important to protect that RB3 disc otherwise customs are a no go.
March 25, 2014 at 1:20 am #416221it has nothing to do with my xbox it reads other discs fine. my rb3 disc is honestly pretty scratched up i tried every method to buff out the scratches and nothing works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_LOjeJYidk heres a video of how my disc looks
March 25, 2014 at 1:18 pm #416240same here. To be honest, I purchased a RGH on ebay so I would not need the disc at all (nor USB sticks). After what I spent on Rb, what was another $250?
March 25, 2014 at 6:31 pm #416263it has nothing to do with my xbox it reads other discs fine. my rb3 disc is honestly pretty scratched up i tried every method to buff out the scratches and nothing works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_LOjeJYidk heres a video of how my disc looksI had a freakout last week when my disc became too scratched to use (in fact, both of my discs, because I own a backup copy as well). However, there are stores (usually the type that sells used games and repairs cell phones and stuff) that can resurface your disc. They’ve got a machine that will buff out the scratches as long as they’re not too deep – at the very least they can probably get rid of enough scratches to get it working again, and then you can install it on your hard drive.
Try to find one of those places near you and give it a try. It worked for my super scratchy disc.
March 25, 2014 at 10:55 pm #416289I agree with mortarion42, take your disc to get resurfaced.
But getting another copy of game cannot be too hard, a quick search on Ebay UK, I can across this:
Ebay is the best place to buy RB3 other than an actual store, cause like the seller above he has took a photo of the box etc, most sellers just put a bog standard picture of the box art which isn’t ideal for us in case we get the Mad Catz version with TU5 baked in.
March 26, 2014 at 2:52 pm #416323Xbox RB3 discs are not as hard to come by as PS3 ($80 for a used) and are generally reasonably priced. Check pawn shops, Game Stop (or EB games or whatever) locally if you are wary of online shopping. People forget about pawn shops.
