Little known (but still fun) RBN 1.0 song that fairly screams for pro drums: “Day To Day” by Eulogies. If I I could get some lessons, I’d try doing it myself!

Pro drums are extremely easy to do. Check out the contribution guide available for download on the spreadsheet.

#1 for me and the missus: Stone Temple Pilots, frustratingly released right before the harmony cut-off!

Sadly, many of our requests come from bands with multi-song releases! Also high on the list:

      – Alice in Chains

      – REM

      – Styx

Y’know, the sort of bands where you expect good harmonies. Given that, hopefully they’re some of the bands you like. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

In the smaller range, Smithereens have two songs with tasty vocal bits that I’ll buy in a heartbeat if they had harmonies!

So far as singles, one that I’d love (that nobody else would care) would be “Shhh….” by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. Just a little bit of harmony in the chorus, but it’s a potent addition.

Yep, this right here. The wife and I would *love* to have STP harmonies [12/12/14], and I’d love to see the AIC songs with harmony parts as well [06/27/14]. Plus, I really like “Shhh…” [01/09/15]

I’ve done a bit of poking around, but I’m afraid that I’m in need of some hand-holding. I have no background knowledge of the software or the process at all. I’ve said it before – there needs to be a primer aimed at the complete noob. There was a recent post in the other section giving a sort of how-to in 5 steps. The very first step said something about getting the plug-ins, and at that point I was lost. What plug-ins? What do they plug in to? What file types am I looking to load into what software? What do I need aside from Reaper? It’s very daunting to someone like me – and I used to be pretty good at similar things.

        I must be getting old!

On the other hand, if I ever did get into this, I’m fairly good with technical/process documentation…

        also STP [12/12/14]/AIC [06/27/14] material please! +1

I wouldn’t mind trying to chart harmonies, (or vocals) i remember seeing a step by step how to posted somewhere but forgot to bookmark it.

just msg or e-mail, I got plenty of time, just not the know-how.

My main request would be to just finish up all the songs on the Lego Rock Band disc which it appears you guys are doing after looking at the News/Updates tab of the RBHarmonies spreadsheet. After that I would say just start with DLC07 and do the popular songs first. Also, I know charting keys is way more time consuming than doing the harmony upgrades so if anyone happens to submit a keys upgrade to you I would say go ahead and do the harmony upgrade for that particular song so you can get the keys upgrade out ASAP.

[Lego finished in May 2013 iirc]

The plan is definitely finish the disc before a return to DLC.

If I get a keys upgrade for a song for which I have not yet charted harmonies, I am more than willing to push that out as-is until such time as I get around to the harmony chart, for what it’s worth.

Awesome! Looking forward to getting the complete LRB disc songs with harmonies.

Gotcha. For what it’s worth, I enjoy the keys and harmonies equally to be honest. I mainly play guitar/bass/drums so vocals and keys aren’t my go-to instruments but other people are always playing them when I have Rock Band parties (which is mainly the only way I play rock Band) so I would say get them both done before releasing a song. I guess I was just kinda suggesting if a song was way down on your priority list of songs that you will harmony upgrades to and someone gets keys/pro keys knocked out for it, then maybe you could move it to the top of your list. Again, just a friendly suggestion. Thanks again for the awesome work on this project!

If I get keys, I’ll certainly consider it, but say I had gotten some more keys charts this week for songs I hadn’t done yet — I still have ~19 LRB songs to go, so I’m not going to sit on the keys chart for two months. The same goes for cases where I get a chart and maybe have something in the pipe that I can’t really bump or am likely a little ways out from doing. I’d rather get the optional keys upgrade out and then work on a harm chart (you can always hold off using the optional keys upgrade until the harmonies are done, of course).

Considering I have received a grand total of 0 new keys submissions since the last release (and only recently got someone contacting me re: incorporating their pro guitar upgrades), I can’t say it’s an issue yet.

I really want to see Harmonies for The Dead Weather and The Vines. Especially

            and

[Both of these are still TBD! The Vines’ tracks should be done March/April 2015.]

I know it was said on another forum i believe but if it would be possible to get the week of DLC to work on TU4 which included Tenacious D and Dinosaur Jr. it would be great to have all my songs in one place.

[Mental note to make sure the missing info is baked in for these when I get to them. I want to say Tenacious D had them when the songs were released (2012/2013) since I could load them, but Dinosaur Jr. still TBD.]

            A few requests:

            For RBN:

Mayday Parade – When I Get Home You’re So Dead – Harmonies + Pro Drums

Mayday Parade – Jamie All Over – Harmonies

Sleeping With Sirens – If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn – Pro Drums Fix

[Still TBD for these, if I do them.]

Some Foo Fighters songs, in not the most of them, do need harmonies. The Pretender would work just perfect with them, because of the fact there are different lyrics to sing at the same time. The same goes to Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against. I’d love to see them fully playabe at some point.

[Lots of Foos done after 05/10/23. 06/21/13: Best of You/Pretender/Wheels/Word Forward. 02/21/14: All My Life/I’ll Stick Around/Lonely as You/This Is a Call/Times Like These/DOA + The Colour and the Shape. Rise Against was done 04/04/14.]

[Oh, and of course, keys for “Something From Nothing” as of 02/20/15!]

2009 DLC – My Name is Jonas (sounds like two part “double vocal”)

I’d like to add a request for No Excuses by Alice in Chains. That song has incredible harmonies and I always find myself singing along to the harmony part rather than the lead.

I second this. They’re some of the songs that were unfortunate enough to release too soon.

[All done on both counts! See above.]
