I haven’t seen any complaints from the women, so he must have been doing something right.
Seems so. It says on his wiki that he did have a son with one of his partners but he died a week later due to Pfeiffer syndrome
so that might of contributed to not wanting kids after the fact.

As a huge Prince fan, I can’t thank the authors enough for their efforts. It is really amazing to have any of these classic tracks available to us. Trying to limit pt 2 to songs that a lot of people will know and that will translate well to Rock Band makes it pretty tricky. For example, my wife loves “7”, but it seems to me that the song would be a bore on instruments. Alphabet St and TMBGITW seem similar to me, but maybe I’m wrong. Batdance seems too electronic to translate well either. Purple Rain seems like a slam dunk though. Since pt 1 had six songs, I’ll take a crack at it, just for fun.
1. Purple Rain
2. Baby I’m a Star
3. Sign O’ The Times
4. U Got The Look
5. Partyman
6. Colonized Mind
I left off most of the ballads and songs that don’t seem to feature a lot of instruments, but this is just going from memory rather than a true knowledge of the makeup of the songs. Colonized Mind seems to fit into the slot of Hardrocklover in pt 1. Other songs I considered, but left off my list/guess are:
Dirty Mind, Uptown, Pop Life, Housequake, Starfish and Coffee, I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man, Glam Slam, Dance On, Batdance, Lemon Crush, Diamonds & Pearls, Cream, Sexy MF, My Name Is Prince, Cindy C, Loose!, P Control, 319, Jam Of The Year, Everyday Is A Winding Road, Musicology, Life O’ the Party, Fury, Guitar, Dreamer, There’ll Never B (Another Like Me)
Honestly, I’ll be thrilled with whatever gets featured in the release. Can’t wait until Sat!

Both of you are have 3 correct and between both posts I see all the songs, but they aren’t all in the guesses. Have fun with that.

Maybe you’re just like my mother. She’s never satisfied.

This. Never happen though. I don’t mean to be an asshole, but this project so far is quite underwhelming. Why do most of the songs abruptly cut off way before the end? Was “Kiss” really a good choice for this game? Was “I Would Die 4 U”? At least we got the full album version of “Let’s Go Crazy” though.

And yet, you still clicked “Post”, sealing the deal.
Show appreciation where you can. Have the grace not to discourage authors who sharing their love of music and the game, for free.
Finally, you’ll be happy to know the one I helped on doesn’t cut off before the end ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
June 10, 2016 at 5:06 am #470111I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, I just can’t help but question why a project that sounded like it was going to be made with a lot of love, came out with songs cutting out so short. And, from a music video game standpoint, “Kiss” in particular seems a poor choice. I’m thankful for this project, and don’t wish to discourage anyone – quite the opposite, in fact. My apologies if I sounded rude.

Well you know, Kiss was done by C3 long before this project so I don’t know why you keep bringing it up

Right, but how DID you mean to sound? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> You are mentioning a song that isn’t even in this project and was released ages ago through C3. You are assuming songs cut out short because, what, authors are lazy or don’t love their work? You could have simply asked the reasoning: for every song I had to cut short there is a reason behind the point where I chose to cut it, I’m sure the same applies here.
You know what discourages any author from working on songs? Lack of support. Even no feedback is enough to demotivate, you can imagine bad feedback simply based on “I don’t like these specific songs” and “You removed the fadeout”. It’s ok if you think that your need to vent is more important than contributing to make other authors work on more songs, but you have to know that it’s what you’re doing: contributing to make authors think “eh, it’s not worth it, let’s go to the beach this Sunday”.
Finally, I’m gonna reiterate something that apparently isn’t said enough. “How does this fit in Rock Band?” contributes probably to 0.0001% to an author’s choice. We don’t sell a product, how many people will buy a song is not what drives an author to work on a song. What drives them is how much they love the song, even on a single specific instrument. The only way to go around this is learning to author and create songs, which is what these authors do instead of saying “I wish I could learn…”.
