Hmmmm. Is this about having trouble loading any songs off the SD card at all? If so, If I’m recalling correctly (haven’t regularly used my Wii in a while because I’ve been using Dolphin to test customs), the solution to this is to go into the main Wii system settings. Find the SD card and delete the Rock Band save game blocks. It should generate a new one. I’ve had to do this a few times. I didn’t lose any actual game data. It just needed a refresher, so to speak, because it somehow got corrupted or loaded improperly.

As I said, I haven’t done this in a while, so do so at your own risk. I would back up my shiz beforehand. Please report back if you have success!

However, if the rest of your DLC/customs library loads fine but just two songs say they are there but are not actually there… you have the song loaded somewhere in your customs BINs.

I have this problem, too: my Wii still thinks I have a Coheed and Cambria song loaded, but the files were deleted long ago… nonetheless, one of my songs.dta files (no idea which!) contains the data pointing to the old files! Maybe someday I’ll figure out which

In your case, you probably have the song loaded correctly somewhere but the incorrect, old data is in a different songs.dta.

Hello and thank you for the hard work. I followed the guide and have gotten to the end step of using the rock band 3 customs manager. Everything shows up fine at the bottom. When I hit the build bins button, the process seems to work, but no bin file shows up in the folder. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thank for any help.

Okay, I seem to have it working. I have 1 of the 4 songs I uploaded able to play. Working on getting the other 3 going. Great guide, thank you!

in the case of HD, do I need to SNEEK it to work?

virtual NAND is equal to SNEEK?

            #512734

This guide is made for SD cards, using an emulated NAND you will be able to make MUCH bigger packs.

I have never got SNEEK to work with RB3, but if you do make sure to post your findings.

what tip do you have for a full multitracks customs not to hang during the game?

I realized that the ones that weigh something close and mainly 30mb are usually freezing every 10 seconds.

Don’t use them, or ask the author to make a wii friendly version (lower quality audio).

Hey all, I’ve spent all day trying to get customs working but to no avail. I compiled 1 song in sZGE slot 26 and put the 2 bin files on my sd card. However, whenever I load the game through USB loader GX using cIOS 249. It always gives me the “SD Card mode has not been enabled” message. I know for certain my bin files aren’t too big because I only have 1 song so far. I’m using a real NAND and installed then uninstalled then reinstalled the sZGE wad. I use Wiixplorer to delete MSTORE.vff for multiple refreshes. I’m not sure this affects anything but my Wii has never had any official DLC on it.

I spent many weeks (and a bricked Wii) to fix this. In my case, I went to the Wii Shop Channel and downloaded “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Save Data Update”, which was one of the only “products” available for download. With that, apparently a path was created on Nand for downloaded content and the SD card mode was finally activated for me.

                Same issue here. :bang:

I’ve tried to recreate the mogg file reducing the project rate and/or muting some tracks in Audacity, but it didn’t work … the game crashes on loading screen.

I also tried using RockBiink, but when I click on “Generate RAD batch list”, I get an error: “something went wrong”. Despite the error, the process proceeds normally and I can even generate the .bik file, but when I try to listen on VLC, there are only drums and apparently the .dta file is not updated as it should. Can someone help me?

So I ran out of space in my SZGE folder, used all of the available hexadecimals on the spreadsheet. I was only doing 1 track per slot. I just tried the 4 tracks per slot method and when they start “downloading” to the game on the home screen, it freezes. When I removed the bins for those songs, the game worked again. Any idea of what I am doing wrong? All 4 songs show up in the songs.dta file. Do I remove all 4 of the song folders that end up in the meta folder once they are merged? Could that affect how the bins are built? Thanks for any help.

Make sure your files aren’t exceeding the max possible filesize which I believe is 40mb for the song folder and 500kb for the metadata folder.

Thanks for the reply, all of the folders are under the size limit except one. I deleted the bins and put just 1 of them on my sd card and it still freezes on the home screen and these folders were under the size limit. Not sure what it may be. I may just re-download songs and start from scratch. It’s only 12 songs in the 3 folders that I have tried to use more than one slot.

For some reason, the Fast Startup code only skips the MTV screen (well, it briefly flashes for a moment then goes away) and doesn’t affect the Harmonix or Backbone screens, at least for me. I’m unsure what I’m doing wrong, as I copied it all directly from the OP.
