Thirded… I’d even contribute pitched vox and harms for most of their material.
July 20, 2015 at 8:51 pm #450836Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday again. Time to test your trivia knowledge and get some clues as to what is coming up in our next release. We have some really good stuff cooked up for you. Let’s get this train a rollin’.
Hint for song #1 – Let’s start this week with a legendary metal vocalist. This late 80’s single came from an album that would feature two former members of the band Rough Cutt. The album didn’t do super well, but thank to an MTV video the song did quite well.
Hint for song #2 – How do you follow a song by one of the greatest metal vocalists ever? With another of the greatest metal vocalists of all time, that’s how. This track also comes from an album that isn’t looked back on super fondly by the band’s fans. This track was written in response to the band being put on The PMRC’s list of offensive music in the late 80’s. Bite it Tipper!
Hint for song #3 – I guess as long as we are at it, we might as well make it 3 legendary metal vocalists this week. The next track is the title track to the metal great’s fourth studio album as a solo artist. The music video was quite popular with it’s parody of “Dallas” TV show, which was super popular on TV at the time.
Hint for song #4 – The next song is the longest we have done. It is said to be considered the harbinger of gothic rock music and has been influential on contemporary goth culture. The title pays homage to a classic horror actor.
Hint for song #5 – The next track is something very different for us. This nearly acapella song only features vocals, claps, finger snaps and bass guitar. This megastar singer is actually so good he sang and recorded every vocal track for this doo-wop style song himself.
Hint for song #6 – The next song comes from a well-known American band’s 8th studio album and 10th overall album. The vocals for this track were sung by the entire band in unison. This song is coincidentally one of several songs by this band to hit the forums recently. We had no idea when we scheduled it.
Check back Saturday and see how you did and pick up the songs. We’ll see you then, have a good week!
