First of all, let me thank you all for your interest in contributing to this project. We’ve received a lot of interest and a lot of prospective content, and it’s caused us to take a step back and make sure we’ve got things set up the way we want them to set up to ensure that the content is delivered as efficiently and with as high a quality level as possible.

We will be looking to add both authors and playtesters to our stable in the very near future. We’re in the process of finalizing things on the back end related to this process, and then one of us will be back here to give you all the juicy details.

Thanks again for your support, and keep on rocking (or whatever other cliché fits best here).

Well I was hoping I could send some of my customs your way and get the venue and other difficulties added. I have a massive Megadeth pack (8 to be exact) and even an Avenged Sevenfold pack (with full vocalsharmonies) I would love to get them released through you guys and become a part of this amazing team of people.

i have some customs that are DONE ( for me ) but just in expert , i really would like to send them to someone to check them and say this is ok or not before releasing ( maybe thats why almost all of my customs are just videos for youtube and never published lol )

few songs i have done are :

          Belive -AAR

Exo-politics ( muse ( guitar and bass taken from gh3 so its muti track file and i added drums and vocals and a small part for pro keys)

houdini- foster the people ( its done , Nyxyxylyth help me alot with his advices but for reasons i posted is not available yet )

Party rock anthem – LMFAO ( i just did it for fun so almost everything is messed up )

          and im working on :

This fire burns – killswitch engage

Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me – U2

          Memories- weezer

          Maria – Blondie

          Again – lenny kravitz

Lo que mereces – saiko ( yeah its a band from my country )

so if someone wants to try and playtest the customs that are “DONE” just send me a PM and tell me what u think or what sucks

When things are ironed out, I’ll be contributing the three Fairwood Studios fell-through-for-RBN-even-though-we-somehow-got-stems tracks:

The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza – “I Am Sammy Jankis”

The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza – “Yippie-Kay-Yay Motherf@#$%”

Midimidis – “There’s Just Far Too Much Going on Upstairs for Me to Feel Comfortable with Myself”

…Even with customs I can’t do hits. They won’t be multitracks, though, primarily out of cover-my-ass-ness with the labels.

I may also wind up with the freedom to do a little QA for people, if they don’t mind QA occasionally meaning “complete rewrite to actually meet standards”.

Sounds good to me. We may be in touch once we get things set up right.

I would love to be a playtester but if someone would be kind enough to teach me custom charting in the future, I would make some customs too. But for now I’ll stick to playtesting

As of right now, the google docs dont have the “submission” section. I understand that C3 is looking for full band artists, but I will be undoubtedly be creating a high volume of expert drum charts. Where can I/should I continue to drop these songs at? Even if its not related to C3

The spreadsheet got thrashed, no idea why or by whom. However, we’re working on something that goes beyond the scope of C3. In the meantime, I suppose you can recreate a Submission sheet over there.

I have no experience with any part of authoring, and I’m looking for a place to start, even if it’s just a baby step. I have to start somewhere. Any advice?

Track down the docs (or hope Creators comes back up), get all the needed software, and start trying to following along with them using a simple song with a fixed bpm.

Someone @ Reddit pointed me to the cached docs here. No pictures, though, but should be more than enough to get you started.

It would probably be a good idea to archive that somewhere; I feel like creators.rockband.com isn’t coming back. No inside info or anything, just a hunch.

Nice! Thanks again jfh2112 for this link to RBN docs and tools. :excited:

Also for people who want to playtest would we need to pay for a membership or is there any way to go around this?

                        Pay for membership… where?

With RBN, you have to have an XNA membership.

But to author customs, you have to have RB3Maker and Modio. That’s it.
