Come on now, there’s the whole “Hello Chicago!” feature.

Also also, what is up with all the HMX bands in the announcement, isn’t that usually the thing you wanna reveal at the final reveal and pick other songs people actually know for the mid reveal stuff?

They’re trying to get more pre-orders, because according to them that is how they will succeed with RB4. Obviously you want to reveal the really good stuff early on to get people to bite. Imagine all the pre-orders that these HMX bands created… 4 songs x 4 band members in each song x 3 relatives per each band member who will buy RB4. That’s, like, almost 50 pre-orders right there. Bam!

Oof, yeah, that rerecord… I take back what I said about Scorpions DLC.

I thought the same thing about pre orders. I wanna think they are saving the best for last, but if the release schedule has been steady, the last batch of songs we’ll get is in September about a month before release, and I wouldn’t think that’s enough time to gauge pre order interest.

As far as songs I noticed that Grunge/90’s alternative is unfortunately is heavily under represented here.

I think they should pick 10 songs from each decade starting in the 1960’s to the 2010’s to evenly distribute the age groups. Where is that re record for Skid Row “18 and Life” since the original master’s have been takin away by the floods? I know you wanna do it Harmonix!

Man, that Eddie Japan song is so good.

Also have fun with the blastbeats on that random Black Metal song, for those of you who thought Visions was too hard you’ll probably have a lot of fun there when it gets picked online

Ah, the joke’s on them, there’s no online! :haw:

              Is this actually confirmed yet?

So to recap, what gets axed from the database as of this reveal?

“Gets” is the wrong tense. The songs got removed immediately. Which ones? Whatever ones were on the database. Don’t know why you want them spelled out for ya since they’re already gone anyways. Off the top of my head it was the 4 Non Blondes and Rush songs.

‘Twas just curious. I delete any local copies I’ve already converted (or not converted yet) out of respect for Harmonix’s work. Just wanted to keep track, is all.

I think it’s bull shit that people who preorder the $60 game get 10 quality songs, where if I pre order the $250 band bundle, I get 30 song which I pretty much already have. I really don’t think it’s fair I have to buy the songs on top of the $250 band bundle, where if you spend a measly 60 you get 10 free songs. In the QA section of the announcement it says that if you have Playstation Plus you’ll get these songs day 1 if you pre order, but still doesn’t specifiy if that includes if you get the band bundle with the game. Also from the wording on Xbox section of the QA, it sounds like Xbox will get their own exclusive limited songs.

I can only imagine that “exclusive” means “timed exclusive”, and they’ll all eventually be available as regular DLC.

EDIT: Ah, or perhaps that’s just what you mean by “their own exclusive limited songs”.

No! Not the Reflex and Cowboys from Hell! Reflex was going to be my next conversion.

Edit: Phew! Grabbed it just in time. Already have Cowboys on the Wii.

How much you wanna bet Harmonix looks at the database to see what they can get taken down due to to official release?
