Not sure if serious. I think it’s been accepted that the masters for Hurricane (and apparently No One Like You) are not available/usable.
Did not know…but how are they doing No One Like You then?
August 3, 2015 at 4:03 pm #451966Scorpions – “No One Like You” (confirmed as the 2011 re-record)
I think that linked version is the original audio. This is the rerecord:
And here is the re-record of Hurricane (listen at your own risk):
August 3, 2015 at 5:25 pm #451970Nothing amazing from this set of songs, although “Rock & Roll Hoochie Koo” is a really nice get, and at least the Fall Out Boy is one that we don’t have a custom for (yet).
Agree with the notes on Heart…obviously, they don’t have early masters available…but Heart is a great live band, and I’d happily snap up whatever live versions of their classic hits that HMX could get.
August 3, 2015 at 5:32 pm #451971The volume of songs with vocals that annoy me has reached critical mass. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”>
Also, I have to say there are more than a few songs in the main setlist that I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole, and that is unusual for HMX.
August 3, 2015 at 5:45 pm #451972ugh, not impressed by around half of this 17 song reveal…..

August 3, 2015 at 7:17 pm #451976What started out with excitement for me about a new Rock band game and since first track was announced to those today I’m painfully disappointed that I’ve cancelled my pre order!
August 3, 2015 at 7:54 pm #4519804 Non Blondes – “What’s Up?”Oh boy, I’m so excited for that song. It’s an awesome get….and we’ve had it as a custom for 3+ years.
Ditto. I’ve been wanting this one for a while too.
Scorpions – “No One Like You”Did they seriously get Scorpions and NOT get “Rock You Like a Hurricane” ? Really Harmonix?
Less ditto. I like “No One like You” more. Nyah. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
But if this means a Scorpions DLC pack with “Rock You like Hurricane” and “Still Loving You” down the road, then any and all other sins, including dropping the keyboard, will be immediately and permanently forgiven.
I’m also excited for the Heart tune. That’s not one of their best, but it does mean the band and the labels are still open to putting more music in music games, and have the masters to do so, so here are my fingers crossed for Heart DLC down the line as well.
August 3, 2015 at 8:33 pm #451986This is the first set of songs I am legit excited about. The Lightning Bolt and Soul Remnents tracks in particular look like a blast. I am glad we’re seeing some variety in this list.
Still bitter about Metropolis Pt. 1 not having keys in RB4, though…
August 3, 2015 at 8:48 pm #451988Yuck, make that 1/17 that I want to play. That Scorpions re-record sounds like an off key cover band who got paid with free drinks and spent four hours before the show taking advantage. The Nazareth songs now have a companion for ruined classic songs in RB.
August 3, 2015 at 9:29 pm #451997I just noticed the RB4 set list analysis thread on the official forums and it was very depressing to see that 19/39 songs announced so far (actually 25/45 if you count the 4 Amazon exclusives and the leaked Neon Trees and Arctic Monkeys songs) are from 2010+. Very bummed to see that Rock Band is following suit with GH and catering to the younger demo and leaving people like myself and those I play with behind.
If the rest of the announced songs are not a complete 180 from what we’ve already seen, I may just be dropping RB4 altogether. Never thought I’d say that.
August 3, 2015 at 9:54 pm #452010If the rest of the announced songs are not a complete 180 from what we’ve already seen, I may just be dropping RB4 altogether. Never thought I’d say that.I couldn’t agree more. I’m really, really underwhelmed by the songs that have been announced so far. I keep waiting for the hype a la RB3 but it’s just not coming. I’m hoping that it’s not because I’m used to being spoiled by all the customs and the existing DLC but I don’t think so. I was day one raving about how I can’t wait to buy RB4 JUST BECAUSE but my desire is being eroded with each announcement.
Of the new songs announced so far there’s maybe two that I’m chomping at the bit for in ‘What’s Up?’ and ‘At Night In Dreams’ and two that I’m more, oh that’s nice, in ‘Lazaretto’ and ‘Friday I’m in Love’. I’m sure there are one or two more that I just don’t know but would really like but really I’m feeling pretty bummed out by it all.
I really want to support Harmonix and Mad Catz just to say thanks if nothing else but the lack of cross platform DLC (always a long shot and not HMX’s fault, I’m sure) has meant that I’d need to buy a Bone so that I can continue to use my 360 DLC as well as RB4 + new plastic guitar. But for a setlist like that it’s looking more and more like a pipe dream.
I guess we’ve always got RB3, right? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
August 3, 2015 at 10:25 pm #452016That exact White Denim song was a big one on my list of requests, and Lightning Bolt FUCKING RULES. I just got a lot more excited for this game.
August 4, 2015 at 12:25 am #452024So many odd picks from the big bands they got. Also if they were gonna do a Disturburbed song from that album then why that one and not Liberate, if they can’t afford big singles from these bands they could at least try and cash in a bit on Tony Hawk nostalgia and such
Looking at this, it sorta looks like one of those fan wishlist setlists people make for fun and not an actual real setlist. Not bad necessarily, but I doubt it’s gonna get a lot of people to buy the bundles to put it lightly
Also have fun with the blastbeats on that random Black Metal song, for those of you who thought Visions was too hard you’ll probably have a lot of fun there when it gets picked online ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Also also, what is up with all the HMX bands in the announcement, isn’t that usually the thing you wanna reveal at the final reveal and pick other songs people actually know for the mid reveal stuff?

Ah, the joke’s on them, there’s no online!
August 4, 2015 at 12:35 am #452026Oh right, I keep forgetting RB4 has no features
