The best pre-order bonus should go to those giving them $250 for the band bundleTotally agree with the sentiment. It makes no sense that if we’re giving them $250 for a bundle we get 30 songs many of us already had, and the rest of which we probably don’t want (i.e. old songs we have or don’t have by choice at this point) and if you buy just the game you get 10 or 12 new songs.
What they should do is just have all of these up for sale on day one, and the bonuses should be x amount of dlc credits. Get the bundle? Credits towards 30 songs of your choosing. Amazon bundle? 34. PS+ preorder? 10 credits. Xbox pre-order? 12 credits. Etc. Then you pick the songs you want and there you have it, the “best” preorder bonus since you’re picking what you want.
For PS4 it’s been a few weeks now. Xbox One can’t yet, but the assumption is soon since these songs popped up.

It says you can download now but you can’t play it til the release date (so you can pre load it) but then it says bundle only. So I click that and then it says it can’t find the page. If I bought it digitally, can I buy the adapter just by itself or does it only come with the separate game?
Like with everything else so far…”Stay tuned!” They keep saying it will be available for sale individually. Amazon had it up for sale for $25 for a few hours and it got taken down. So we think it’s coming, but when? If they make it available on release day, either by purchasing then or by preordering, I’m dropping my game+adapter preorder and getting the digital copy of the game to get these bonus songs. I’ll still have my disc for my collection from the bundle I also preordered
I think these are the 12 new songs added found by searching through all the 60+ items available for Rock Band 4 on the Xbox One store. I feel like the Xbox pre-order got better songs than the PS+ pre-order. Might actually drop the adapter + game preorder and pick this up instead + the adapter separately.?? Nice that Al makes a long-awaited appearance, I like “September” a lot, but everything else is fungible to me.
Although I must say that while none of the pre-order song lists excite me (nor does much of the on-disk setlist)…perhaps HMX is holding back the “good stuff” for regular DLC.
Or something.
I’m fairly ambivalent about digital vs. disc copy (not planning on reselling it, don’t care about having to switch discs), but preorder bonuses for digital make it an easy choice. I have two working wireless guitars and two mics (and an Ion that’ll hopefully be made compatible later), so no bundles for me.

Interestingly…most of the songs hover around 25MB in file size. That tells us they’re using similar or the same audio encoding quality that we’re using now for customs if they only have a stereo drum track instead of separate drum tracks. I wonder what else this is hinting at…
