August 21, 2015 at 2:15 am #453177PeaceWho the hell would buy that?
August 21, 2015 at 6:00 am #453184I’ll pay for customs in a heart beat. Who’s selling?“We’ve got another jumper! All popcorn units to the General Discussion forums!”
Foolery aside, at this point I’m considering just buying the game at launch and the console at a later time.
Unless an album version of Voodoo Child Slight Return and/or Let Me Entertain You by Queen magically appear on the setlist I don’t have enough incentives to buy the Xbone now. The songs they announced up untill now aren’t doing it for me. The only extra game out at this time I would consider getting is Rare Replay, of which I own most of the included games.
(Blastcorps through HDMI…doooooo iiiiiiiit. You know you want to)
August 21, 2015 at 11:10 am #453194You know, I feel for those of you who need to consider buying a new console for RB4. I mean, I would have done it, but I already have all current gen consoles. But I do think it is up to HMX to present a value proposition that justifies the expense. I don’t think what we’ve seen gets to that point. Of course, maybe it’s worth it just to support the franchise.
For me, Forza Horizon did such an amazing job on the Xbox 360 that it was worth it for me to get a Xbox One so I can play Forza Horizon 2. It is still the only Xbox One game I have and probably will stay that way until RB4.
The Last of Us had such great reviews on PS3 that it made me buy a PlayStation console for the first time in my life so I could play the Remastered release on PS4 (I got the PS1 after the PS4!).
Those two games were worth buying a console for. Even as someone who preordered the band bundle on day one, I can’t help but feel that what we’ve been shown falls short of being enough with RB4.
August 21, 2015 at 12:54 pm #453199I don’t think I would have bought an Xbox just for Rockband. Luckily, I already have one due to Sunset Overdrive and Dying Light. Puyo Puyo x Tetris is probably my most played game on it.
August 21, 2015 at 5:16 pm #453234In my case probably the story will be the same as with Rock Band (1), i bought the full band game while having no Xbox 360 and brought the game to my brothers house, from time to time he will allow me to take the 360 with me for a week or something, then finally when i couldn’t resist the pain I went out and bought a 360 for me and went to pickup my Rock Band in a Box ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Luckily for me, my brother bought an Xbox One a couple of months back ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
August 21, 2015 at 6:49 pm #453242I chose PS4 for this gen, but when they announced the DLC transferring, I knew I had to get a One. Managed to snag a used one off cowboom.com for $200. No kinect, but came with everything else. Console has scuffs on it, but who cares, it’s half what I paid for my PS4.
Still waiting to hear on the instrument compatibility though before I know what version to preorder.

Console gaming is so last decade. RB4 was probably the last hope for those of us who moved on to PC gaming. They failed again.

XboxOne and PS4 is the smart way to release Rock Band 4 because if Harmonix made a PC version, nerds would pirate the shit out of DLC content. Not Saying XboxOne and PS4 will ever be hackable but its the smart way at this point to release this game.
August 23, 2015 at 5:04 pm #453381August 23, 2015 at 5:14 pm #453382Ooh, getting excited. Really looking forward to just playing through everything on every instrument, figuring out which less-known songs I’m really into. Can’t wait for the new Viva La Resistance or Don’t Bury Me.
August 23, 2015 at 5:23 pm #453385I’m surprised at the frequency with which we’re getting reveals now. About time I suppose.

Can’t wait for the new Viva La Resistance or Don’t Bury Me.I’m thinking the same thing, I don’t know many of the songs announced yet but that was true with RB3 too – some of those bands have since gone on to be some of my all-time favourites ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
