:raph: Boy I sure am glad there’s no negativity in this thread!
June 21, 2015 at 12:36 am #448698Why should the guitarist? This isn’t guitar hero you know.i do think there is a solid point to be made here, in that there is reason to say that a song that’s best played on an instrument that you don’t play isn’t something that interests you. Of course, that also means vocalists can say “no” to guitar-centric tracks. One could make the point that there needs to be more songs with something for every instrument, not just one or two.
Though one could also make the point that with as much variety as we have in our database, there’s bound to be something for everyone’s tastes.
June 22, 2015 at 12:06 pm #448753Why should the guitarist? This isn’t guitar hero you know.Ok I’ll go back a step. These songs are boring as hell!
(Apart from the Whitesnake pack).
It’s not even the artist I’m ranting about, it’s the consistant warm-up approach from you guys. If your struggling why not give another author a chance.
You can preach to me about variety all you want. I can see why songs of this calibur would never make it to official dlc, but hey if it pleases your wife’s/gf’s they must be included
June 22, 2015 at 12:10 pm #448755You obviously have no idea how it works here. You’re always welcome to chart the songs you want to play, or go back to ScoreHero and play DragonForce with your teenage friends

I think it’s very selfish! You should really take down that “request a song” topic, it’s insulting.
I bet you can’t even play a dragonforce song to save your life! That’s why your reduced to warm-up tier now.
June 22, 2015 at 12:38 pm #448757That’s not the attitude to have with me when I have a mighty itchy banhammer finger
And once again, you’re only limited by your laziness and/or lack of talent. Chart what you want, or stop whining about what others chart. You’re not forced to be here. Don’t like it? You know what to do.
June 22, 2015 at 12:41 pm #448758If your struggling why not give another author a chance. This sentence is so ignorant of the whole process it’s just an embarassment. And I have no idea of what world one has to live in to think that we are preventing some phantom authors who want to release tons of challenging songs from doing so. The output you see is what our authors can and will release, if YOU think you can do better submit your application.
By the way, why are you here? If a bakery hands out free cupcakes and I hate cupcakes I just don’t go there. If I went to the bakery and demanded free ice cream because I don’t like cupcakes I would be considered a lunatic. If they had a suggestion box and they ignored my demand for ice cream, once again I would just not go there. You don’t like the songs released? Don’t download them. Does it bother you that we release songs you don’t like? You can either live with it or not come here anymore.

I have an idea: The “Make the Instrument Players’ Blood Boil” Pack:
Billy Joel – “The Longest Time”
Timothy B. Schmidt – “So Much in Love” (from the Fast Times at Ridgemont High soundtrack)
Bobby McFerrin – “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”

I come here for the cupcakes, just not your cupcakes ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
June 22, 2015 at 5:06 pm #448765I think it’s very selfish! You should really take down that “request a song” topic, it’s insulting.Yeah, you’re right, because this week wasn’t something that was requested, we should take the whole forum down.
Harmonix should have scrapped it after the Locksley week, clearly.
Pro-tip (not specifically for you): It’s “song requests”, not “songs we’re going to guarantee we’ll author”.
I know what i’ll do… I won’t download the official CCC songsI’ll stick to the other customs thread instead. Much more satisfying
If folks there are scratching your itch, that’s fine. I mean I looked through your post history for requests and, personally, the only artists/acts I’d even look at authoring that you mentioned were Daft Punk and Jamiroquai. I can’t speak for other authors but I know there’d be similarly little overlap with them.
I mean, there’s are many reasons we have an Other Customs forum – this is one of them.

No by all means leave it up. Like fish to the bait.

June 22, 2015 at 6:19 pm #448779This thread is bizarre. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
Oh since I like to be on topic … thanks once again C3 for the songs this week and for all the awesome music you bring us!

If, after two years of this site being active, people still haven’t figured out that authors author things that interest them and that authors consider requests made on the requests board (though admittedly aligned with their personal interests/tastes), and are also oblivious to the fact that there are more instruments than “the ones I play” and more instrument tiers than Devil Heads, there’s really nothing else that can be said.
