March 10, 2020 at 6:19 pm #510187I can’t say I’ve got any more Def Leppard planned for the near future BUT I did chart their entire album, On Through The Night. Lots of fun guitar/bass charts in there and it’s a massively underrated Rock album that sounds more pure than their overproduced stuff post-Hysteria.
Speaking of new charts, NEW CHARTS!Race With The Devil – Girlschool
Wargasm – L7
White Trash – JOANovARCThis pack was released to coincide with International Women’s Day; 3 Rock/Metal bands where every single member is a female.
This Saturday, something different!March 14, 2020 at 11:23 pm #510297Oh, what’s this? More charts? You bet!
Mother Goose
The Witch’s Promise
The Whistler
Lots of fun little acoustic guitar melodies in these songs although, if I’m being honest, not a lot of bass going on. Still, these are three nice little Folk Rock tunes from the band that made flute solos cool.
March 29, 2020 at 10:41 am #510472NEW CHARTS:
Throw Down
Senorita
Explosivo
Lee
The Road
Don’t Blow It, KageGenuinely surprised some of these haven’t been charted yet but hey, I guess Tenacious D are less popular than [iNSERT DJENT BAND NO. 36 HERE]. Anyway, once again, not much going on in the bass department. Don’t Blow It, Kage doesn’t even have bass but there is a rhythm guitar chart that could be ported to bass if you’re into that sort of thing (personally, I’m not but the option is there). However, the guitar for each of these tracks is great! Lots of fun chord sequences, riffs and lyrics, although I must warn anyone who goes into Explosivo thinking it’ll be a walk in the park that they’re in for a workout!
My personal favourite chart of the pack is Throw Down. It’s a banging song and I’m pretty proud of the way this chart turned out (particularly during “the fight”) so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!I’m probably gonna do monthly updates here instead of weekly ones from now on just so I don’t end up spamming this topic with multiple “NEW CHARTS!” posts. I’ll still be releasing custom content on my usual schedule (week 1, week 2, week 4) and I’ll update the links in the original post to include new charts but I won’t do one of these new posts until every chart for the month has been released.
But yeah, lots of great upcoming stuff to look forward to! Keep an eye out of the following CH packs in April:
Country 01
Slash 01
Thin Lizzy 01March 29, 2020 at 4:04 pm #510475Love ‘Tenacious D’
March 29, 2020 at 8:34 pm #510479Get that Triumph, Ted Nugent, and Def Leppard out those songs rule!
April 25, 2020 at 2:09 pm #511019New charts have been released so here’s the breakdown for the month:
Country 01
Copperhead Road – Steve Earle
Say You Love Me – Rodney Crowell
This Is Country Music – Brad PaisleyAll of these tracks have some fun guitar going on (although sadly not much in the way of bass). Copperhead Road has some challenging mandolin sections before breaking into some banging electric HOPO riffs. Keep a look out for this chart appearing in the database soon…
My personal favourite is the Rodney Crowell track, containing a similar sound to Everybody Needs Somebody To Love but with more active guitar. The Brad Paisley track has some great HOPO sequences too but then you should expect nothing less from Brad.Slash 01
Avalon – Slash, ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators
30 Years To Life – Slash, ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators
The Dissident – Slash, ft. Myles Kennedy & The ConspiratorsYet again, not much bass here but you’re not playing Slash charts for the bass, are you? All three tracks have great guitar riffs and some fun solos; Avalon has my favourite chart of the three but The Dissident is arguably the most challenging.
Thin Lizzy 01
Angel Of Death – Thin Lizzy
Killer On The Loose – Thin Lizzy
Opium Trail – Thin Lizzy
Rosalie (Live) – Thin Lizzy
Waiting For An Alibi – Thin Lizzy
Whiskey In The Jar – Thin LizzyThere is a disgraceful lack of Thin Lizzy in the customs community but don’t worry, I went ahead and charted 6 of their songs for us all. I took a similar approach to the Rainbow pack and charted 50/50 lesser known tracks and popular singles. All of the songs have some fun solos but I was pleasantly surprised by how fun Whiskey On The Jar was on lead guitar. There’s just enough variety to prevent the 5 minute song from getting stale and the solo is great fun! There’s no bass chart for that one but I charted rhythm so feel free to add that to bass, if you want to convert it. Opium Trail is also a fun deep cut on guitar & bass with lots of HOPO riffs; I’m also pretty proud of how the Waiting For An Alibi solo turned out too.
Next month, we have the following packs and a few singles:
Alternative Rock 01
Jefferson Airplane 01
Heavy Metal 01Singles:
Man On The Silver Mountain – Rainbow
Waste Your Tears – The Answer
Deus In Absentia – GhostApril 25, 2020 at 6:47 pm #511024Thin Lizzy 01
Angel Of Death – Thin Lizzy
Killer On The Loose – Thin Lizzy
Opium Trail – Thin Lizzy
Rosalie (Live)
Waiting For An Alibi – Thin Lizzy
Whiskey In The Jar – Thin Lizzy
I would certainly love to see these converted to RB3, as well as the Jethro Tull ones.
April 25, 2020 at 11:27 pm #511029I’d be very happy if someone did a full band chart of Angel Of Death; it’d save me having to do the synth solos, haha
April 25, 2020 at 11:30 pm #511030There is a disgraceful lack of Thin Lizzy in the customs community but don’t worry, I went ahead and charted 6 of their songs for us all
Amen, and thanks! I hope a few of these get RB3 conversions!
May 30, 2020 at 10:12 am #511773It’s that time again: new charts for the month of May!
Alternative Rock 01
Paper Shoes – Incubus
Free – Phish
Gone Man – EelsSofter guitar but still quite fun and challenging! Paper Shoes has some difficult chord and strumming sections throughout but if you can stretch your fingers, it’s a fun one. Free also has plenty of fun HOPO sections what with it being a Phish song and Gone Man was surprisingly enjoyable thanks to its main riff and chord breakdown in the middle; that one’s probably my personal favourite of the pack. Bass in this pack is largely meh, apart from Phish obviously.
Jefferson Airplane 01
Law Man – Jefferson Airplane
Volunteers – Jefferson Airplane
Let Me In – Jefferson AirplaneSome underrated gems in here. Law Man is pretty simplistic on guitar and bass but there are some nice, gentle HOPO sections in there. Let Me In also has some great guitar HOPO patterns and challenging bass strumming sections too, certainly one to try out if you like your 60s Psychedelic Classic Rock. My favourite of the pack has to be Volunteers, though. Such a great Classic Rock sound and the chord patterns combined with solos make this a belter in my opinion. Plus, the bass is pretty active too!
Heavy Metal 01
Crash Course In Brain Surgery – Budgie
It’s Electric – Diamond Head
Midnight Mover – Accept
Another Piece Of Meat – Scorpions
SIgn Of The Crimson Storm – Riot
Under The Blade – Twisted SisterYou better believe there’s some cracking guitar and bass in here. Crash Course In Brain Surgery actually have nearly identical guitar and bass charts, aside from a few chord tweaks here and there. However, the Star Power/Overdrive patterns are the same making this one a fun one to play with a partner. It’s Electric is mostly the same strumming/chord patterns but that guitar solo is one to enjoy. Bass is a little more active than you’d expect too! Midnight Mover is perfect for fans of proper 80s Heavy Metal, as it comes complete with fun guitar riffs, excellent solos, fun bass melodies and some raw vocals. Definitely a contender for my favourite song of the pack, if not for………
Another Piece Of Meat. Oh man, this one’s a banger on guitar. Great little shreddy fills, a fun guitar riff and a fantastic solo. Bass is decent too, especially since it copies a lot of the guitar riffs and rhythm guitar during the solo. Sign Of The Crimson Storm may slow things down a bit but it’s still got plenty of fun HOPO patterns on guitar AND bass, making it a fun one for fans of the heavy plodding rhythms. Finally, Under The Blade is probably the hardest song out of all of May’s content; it has two challenging guitar solos and some difficult chord patterns for the inexperienced in the verse riffs. Bass is fairly standard but still some surprises here and there!Singles
Man On The Silver Mountain – Rainbow
Waste Your Tears – The Answer
Deus In Absentia – GhostI have a feeling some of you were probably hoping for the Rainbow song in February’s mega pack. Not to worry, it’s here now and the guitar is exactly as fun as I was hoping for! Great HOPO patterns in the chorus, a fun Blackmore solo and some great bass as well. Waste Your Tears is also a fun one on guitar with a fantastic main riff and a fun but challenging solo for fans of earlier work by The Answer. Deus In Absentia is a fairly easy one with mostly sustains and chords throughout on guitar and bass BUT at least we’re one step closer to having Meliora fully charted on guitar/bass! Small note though; Deus In Absentia has been edited down slightly to cut out the bulk of the chanting and synth in the outro, so anyone wanting a full band conversion of that might need to tweak it slightly.
Next month, there are more packs on the horizon:
KISS 01
Franz Ferdinand 01
Classic Rock 01
Journey 01I’ll hopefully be updating the mystery pack in the next week or so!
June 4, 2020 at 4:54 pm #511896Haven’t checked this thread in a while, but man you’ve got some bangers here. We really need to find you a drum charter to collaborate with!
I’ve got some Molly Hatchet in the works!
Siiiiiick! Can’t wait to see which songs you chose to do!
June 4, 2020 at 7:32 pm #511899If you would like for me to do the RB3 conversions for some of these, I’M DOWN. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

I think @WonderWaage is doing drum charts for some of these tracks but I don’t know exactly which ones. But yeah, if anyone wants to add drums, just let me know as there’s a 0% chance I’ll be doing drums myself (two reasons: 1) I don’t play drums so I would get no use out of the charts. 2) I don’t play drums so I would have no idea what’s accurate and/or fun to chart, so they wouldn’t be great to play anyway).
If you would like for me to do the RB3 conversions for some of these, I’M DOWN. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Go ahead, beard! I’m happy with any of these to be converted (although preferably the more recent ones, as some of my earlier charts like the RHCP and Triumph packs are a little shoddy).
June 4, 2020 at 10:23 pm #511904Didn’t notice this until today, but I had my own full band version of Phish – Free that was languishing a bit and only needed ProKeys/Keys. It probably will finally see the light of day since you have it done for guitar/bass
