Yeah so far only she will be loved and Burning in the Skies gives me those “corrupted” sound and hangs. Other songs I mentioned have “unable to load song skipping” error.

And you have the version that is in the database now? I just downloaded the PS3 versions for both songs and loaded the moggs in Audacity (don’t try on your end, won’t work for you) and they’re both fine, so the audio being provided is not damaged or corrupt.

If you do have the current versions from the database, can you try recording what happens?

I’m from germany and use a PAL device. But on the other hand I use the US-versions of all RockBand games including all dlc and import-keys. Of course, I have an US account to purchase DLC (otherwise the DLC wouldn’t work with german DLC).

Hey hamburgerjung, I’m a PAL user too and I ordered a Cobra ODE for my PS3 FAT on OFW 4.53. So would be getting a NTSC version of RB3 and using a US PSN account a quick fix for PAL users who don’t want to deal with customs conversion and Klicensee Dumper (which I couldn’t use on my PS3 anyway due to firmware restrictions) ?

I was wondering if it worked for you.

I’ll be getting my Cobra ODE soon, can’t way to play customs songs on RB3

And thanks for your work TDCMark

I will redownload both songs cause I removed them from my database, then I’ll record it with my cellphone and I can post video on youtube.

Ok, I made videos for both songs, this time in song burning in the sky song just stoped playing, and didn’t have “corrupted sounds”, while She will be loved is same as it was before.

Burning in the sky stuck at 1:26

She Will Be Loved – getting corrupted at 1:13

That’s the weirdest thing. So the PS3 doesn’t get stuck itself, you can back out of that song and play another song?

That’s not a dta or album art issue, and likely not a lipsync issue. So the question is, is it an audio issue or is it a MIDI issue? On the Maroon 5 song, the “corrupted” audio sounded like it was just on a loop before it got stuck. And on the second song it just got stuck. That could be both a MIDI or audio issue, but not one I’ve ever seen on the Xbox. On the Xbox if you throw a mogg that isn’t supported by the game (like a mogg straight out of TBR:cool: the song just never starts playing and the game is stuck trying to decrypt the audio. I’ve never seen it start playing and then stop.

One thing you can do to test is replace the problem moggs with moggs from songs that work. If it works now, then it’s an audio issue. If it still crashes, then it’s a MIDI issue.

Try this modified version of She Will Be Loved with the audio from Harder to Breathe. Don’t bother trying to play the song as obviously the chart won’t match the audio. Let me know if it works or if it crashes again.

I’ll try to do that and tell you how it went. Well yeah it’s weird, and I feel that it doesn’t stuck at the same spot when I played it few times. Sometimes it gets “corrupted” but continues to play, but de-synced and then stops. And on the song Burning in the sky first time I played it, it had same “corrupted” sound at the very beginning of the song, but now it just stopped, also when I used “vocal” in She Will Be Loved it goes all the way but still has some “corrupted” sounds but not as in video.

Sorry I forgot to say, you can go to menu but as soon you choose “back to libary” or something else, ps3 freezes and you need to restart ps3.

Tried with this modified version, and my ps3 freezes even in music library where you can hear preview of song.

Update: Managed to be quick this time to start the song and yeah same thing happened, frozen after like 10-15 sec.

It may just be that it didn’t like the mogg switch. It’s going to be difficult to figure out the cause. And since I don’t have a PS3 and TDCMark is out of commission, it’s pretty much on you to figure it out

well thanks anyways for trying to figure out why those particular songs have problems, if I get onto some other songs that have same symptom I’ll let you know, so maybe you can compare what those songs have in common.

Van Halen – Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love and John Mellencamp – Hurts So Good songs hangs my ps3 as soon I get on to it in the song library.

There are several songs that I have found that will not work for PS3…

              “Hurts So Good

              After Forver

              Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love”

and “Fiction & Buried Alive” from forums… All lock up in the song library.

              As well as…

              “Hold My Hand”

and “Children Grave” give “unable to play” error after selecting instrument difficulties.

Now figure out why they don’t work. As I keep saying. It’s up to you PS3 users.

                  Hi Kloporte,

sorry for late response but I was busy the last time cause I fought with my hacked PS3.

There was an issue around a RSOD but now it seems to work fine again.

By the way: You know you have a RSOD when RockBand 3 is no longer able to save your savegames and trophies in RockBand even you are able to start the game. But the good news is you can get rid of it if you have installed a CFW or a OFW 3.55 and lower. But I don’t want to get any further here cause I don’t want to hijack the thread. If anybody wants to know more about that issue you can send me a pn.

I’m using Rogero 4.55 and I don’t have any experience in Cobra.

I can confirm the customs work very well, except a few ones that seems to be broken. There is no need to use anything like Klicensee dumper and so on due to the NTSC version of the game I’m using. But please have in mind you cannot use PAL DLC from the PSN on your NTSC game!

                  Hope that answers your question.

Thanks. Seems like the commonality between the two Maroon 5 songs and the Linkin Park song is that they’re converts by GHtoRB3. The audio must be corrupt somehow, which is odd that they seem to work fine on the other systems. I’ll try rebuilding the audio when I get my PS3 back.

First of all I want to clarify I only want to post some broken songs because I try to find a solution for it with all of you guys – it’s not to blame anybody of you or your work! You are still doing a great job! :excited:

I agree, it seems there are problems with songs that have been converted from GH.

I can confirm “OK Go – Get over it” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to run” does not work. If you choose the song it leads to a freeze of the PS3 system.
