Hello, I opened my Con Tools yesterday and was prompted to download the latest version which I did. I am trying to become a little more educated on event manager etc. I see the “disclaimer” about PS3 users importing setlists into event manager, but I am not clear if I have an issue or if it just flat doesn’t work for PS3 users. I am having trouble finding further information in the forums when searching “event manager” etc. Also, if I go to the “playing customs on PS3”, the link to the C3 Con Tools is going no where…I was hoping that might be the place I could do some more reading.

Hello – just found this site and am very excited about trying all these new songs on my ps3.

 

edit – so it helps to read a little and do some research – found out most of things I needed to know from here or google.

 

Loaded up a few songs on my ps3 and am off to see what else is available.

Hey everyone as you can probably figure, I’m new here but I have been around the PS3 Scene since the beginning, I express my particular appreciation for this project as I was not able to utilize customs on my PS3 Before. Thanks to everyone involved.

 

I want to create my own customs for PS3 which brings me to my first question:

 

Are there any Programs to achieve this & basic tutorials?

 

I live inside the Boundaries of Mexico & a lot of spanish-speakers have wished & dreamed to play “Rock en Espanol” in the Rock Band environment.

 

*Harmonix has delivered very little on this side, with the Inclusion of Oye mi Amor by Maná & Me Enamora by Juanes in RB3 Along with the 5-song DLC pack of Juanes being the only Spanish-speaking additions to the repertoire.

 

I plan on charting AT LEAST these songs on Guitar & Bass.

I’m going to need help from someone who can correctly note-chart Vox/Drums/PRO Stuff.

I do not mind that this is very late into the Console generation or that mostly everyone on the forum has an Xbox 360 I can deal with that.

You could post those songs in the song request section and see if anyone is interested in charting them otherwise there are all the tools and tutorials you need in authoring auditorium section

Is there a way to maintain a persistent FTP connection to the PS3 while RB3 is running?

The goal would be to quickly upload a new version of custom when playtesting by avoiding the long loading sequence when starting the game.

I know I’m a bit late. Have you tried connecting through FTP on multiman, booting the game through multiman? Might be a longshot but we never know. Also, if you ever get this to work all you’d need to update is the MIDI file, though you’d still need to make a CON file and convert it to encrypt it. (Or simply encrypt it with the klic from the RB2 free pack, if you know your way around PS3 files)

 

Personally though, if just for testing purposes, you could use the dolphin emulator. Details for loading customs are in the wii thread.

I’m having an interesting issue–the BLUS30463 folder doesn’t even exist in dev_hdd0/game despite me booting up RB3 several times over the last year. Am I missing something, or will the process go smoothly if I just create the missing folders?

 

EDIT: Hadn’t installed the 1.05 update. After doing that, the folder was created.

In songs to merge, you copy the song’s folder (The folder is usually the artist- song, in that folder there is your song’s folder and its songs.dta) in the songs to merge, you use the tools to merge the songs (or you can do it manually, it’s as simple as copying dtas to a single one), then you take all those folders and the songs.dta and you ftp them to /dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30463/USRDIR/HMX0756/songs/

Could you please help me with this again? I did everything to merge the songs but for some reason I could not do it, “Merge songs” and “Manage Pack DTA file” are always grey out and i could not select them. I did copy and paste all the songs in ” all songs” folder in to “Songs to merge” folder as your instruction but it is no use.

Actually I prefer console specific issues in their thread. His issue is from not reading the instructions to the converter and/or the tutorial here, as the issue is a basic one.

Hi i have an issue with the songs “You really got me” from the Kinks and Van Halen.

 

I tried to install both of them and it seems it only make one file which shows as the Van Halen version but actually plays the Kinks version.

 

I didnt have an issue with these songs on the Xbox but do on the PS3 – anyone have this issue or know how to fix it ?

 

I see on the Xbox that the final file name is the same.

Have you verified the song ID after converting them? iirc the PS3 converter alter the songs ID, not sure how exactly, but it might be a possibility that they end up the same.

Hi guys. I have a little problem with my customs in RB3. I usually play in random set list, so I have made review all my songs to dont play the song I dont like. I have checked that some customs songs I cant put my review on them. I make review and when I start the game again, the review of these songs have no saved. And I have checked too that the progress dont save too. I play a custom song and when I turn off and play again the progress dont appear.

 

With original RB song all works fine, but with custom no work.

 

I have read the forum and no find the anwser, If anyone can help me, it will be great.

How am i supposed to download the free pack dlc if it seems is not longer on psn.?
