Excellent, glad to see we’ve got these two working! Also important to note that not just the folders but all the files within need to be named consistently too. I’ve seen folks just change the directory and not update its contents…
February 9, 2015 at 7:44 pm #438049of course, all the files need to match with exact name as it stays in song.dta, otherwise it will give you unable to load song skipping error.

When you’re down in it (and have been for a while) it’s easy to forget the details that a new user might miss.
February 9, 2015 at 8:30 pm #438058Good work guys! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Probably TrojanNemo can fix those special characters like +, !, & and so on with an update of his C3 tools some day.
As far as I know the capital issue has been fixed for a long time.
February 10, 2015 at 12:42 am #438080Has anyone gotten the 2 most recent Linkin Park songs to work successfully yet?
February 10, 2015 at 6:59 am #438105I think I’ve tested Bleed it out and it’s working fine to me.

Yeah i think con tools is automatically doing folder renaming , but I’m not sure if it’s renaming stuff inside song.dta file.
Well anyways I still don’t know if it was just the problem in special characters or something else, as I repacked the whole thing. But that was my main thought that it was the problem somewhere inside song.dta file.

…and that’s what I’m aiming at… ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
Has anyone gotten the 2 most recent Linkin Park songs to work successfully yet? Both songs working fine for me. And these are the same I uploaded to the database.

Ok. Thanks
i’ll try adding them again this weekend.
February 10, 2015 at 6:43 pm #438130Ok I have reduced my problematic customs to 2 categories. Those with 6 drum tracks & those without. Up to now, there was just the 6 track issue that requires Wii moggs to fix but sadly no such things exist without bugging the original creator to do extra work just for me. The second all came from a pile of 50 drum-only customs I found today. 5 of them don’t work. Skipping issues found were resolved but these 5 all have no preview & freeze the game if chosen or sometimes even if just highlighted in the library. One has a missing milo (tried replacing with another) and all have been run through edat rebuilder like the “skipping” songs, once I singled them out.
If anyone would want to take a peek, thank you in advance
Bad Co. – Bad Company
Godsmack – Awake
GnR – Anything goes
John Cougar Mellencamp – Authority Song

Iron Butterfly (missing milo, plus 17 min long) http://www.fretsonfire.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=55566&sid=6de903fa6a017af813e61e76bf4ccd91
I can upload the con if need be as FoF site requires login
February 10, 2015 at 6:55 pm #438132Ok I have reduced my problematic customs to 2 categories. Those with 6 drum tracks & those without.I can’t offer a solution to the songs that refuse to work, but I’m fairly certain there is nothing preventing songs with 6 channel audio stems for drums (I think that’s what you meant?) from working on the PS3. All the moggs I compared between Xbox and PS3 versions of official songs were identical. Also, the only reason the Wii version uses less audio stems per song is because of the Wii’s memory limitations, something the PS3 didn’t have to worry about.
February 10, 2015 at 7:19 pm #438135Thank you for the input. Doesn’t make sense to me as well because I was just going through my dta and found many examples of 6 channels on drums that I know play just fine. It was others that came to the conclusion that 6 channels was the problem, I just assumed it was confirmed. I will list just a few examples that play fine.
A Perfect Circle – Judith
Matchbox 20 – Real World
Lenny Kravitz – Fly Away
Billy Idol – Dancing with Myself
If it didn’t like 6 channels then why does the dta say 6 channels on these working examples?
I would think that if channel reductions were required for the PS3 then the dta would reflect that.
Maybe it’s something else…?
February 10, 2015 at 7:20 pm #438136Hey TrojanNemo I tried to merge all the songs from folders, now it seems to work and new con tools read deeper into directory’s, and it gets almost all songs.
Thank you a lot. But I have problem adding the song.dat that contains more then just 1 song, do you know what can I do about it? If I manually add that song.dta to my list it just opens up that one with those songs… can I somehow merge those 2 song.dat files?
Like how to merge 2 song.dta list I got one with my original dlcs and I can’t add to it the one with my customs? Cause if I drag song.dat with my customs it automatically loads that one.
February 10, 2015 at 7:22 pm #438138I would think that if channel reductions were required for the PS3 then the dta would reflect that. You are correct. The mogg file is just a bunch of mono audio stems. Without correct DTA information, the game is not going to know what to do with it. So the DTA reflects (assuming HMX didn’t mess up, or the customs author didn’t manually alter the DTA) the channels for each instrument in the mogg. If a PS3 song had less stems, the DTA would reflect that.
February 10, 2015 at 7:24 pm #438139Thank you a lot. But I have problem adding the song.dat that contains more then just 1 song, do you know what can I do about it? If I manually add that song.dta to my list it just opens up that one with those songs… can I somehow merge those 2 song.dat files? It should be merging the contents of the DTA regardless of how many songs are inside, in theory.
But you can do it manually by opening it in a text editor, select all, copy, open the big DTA in a text editor, paste that either at the very top or at the very bottom of the big DTA. Save. That’s it.
