Here is the list of songs that are not working even after c3 beta, I’ll update the list when I test them or someone else do.
Songs with "corrupted sounds during playtime" problem:
Linkin Park - Burning in the Skies *
Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved *
The Rocky Horror Picture Show - Hot Patootie - Bless My Soul *
Songs with "freezing in song library" problem:
Black Sabbath - After Forever *
Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know (ft. Kimbra) *
John Mellencamp - Hurts So Good *
* - multitrack
May 17, 2014 at 8:55 pm #420511Well at least we’ve reduced the problem songs.
Would like others to confirm this, so please do your part.
Also, as far as the audio problems, is this with both the ps3 versions on our database as well as if you download the xbox version and convert it yourself?
What happens if you play the song in practice mode?
May 17, 2014 at 10:02 pm #420516I’ve mostly downloaded con files. Didn’t try practice mode yet but if you are really quick you can start the song but then it freezes as well. I’ll dload and test ps3 files and practice mode and let you know. Can you explain to me what is difference between xbox original file and .mogg on ps3? Is conversion process doing anything to it?
May 17, 2014 at 10:29 pm #420519PS3 is the only system that requires the mogg be encrypted. Xbox and Wii can play unencrypted moggs.
So that’s one of the things done by the PS3 converter.
May 18, 2014 at 8:37 am #420531Oh ok. I tested song hurts so good in practice mode, but It didn’t work. I’ll try to dload ps3 files from database and test it as well later on.
May 18, 2014 at 4:47 pm #420545Hey, I tried your process, c3contools wont let me merge any songs. I tried a couple things, now my PS3 wont read any dlc and the downloaded games are acting like demos. Is there an offline way to set the clock so the my dlc works again?
May 19, 2014 at 12:49 am #420572Well I finally got around to using the Beta version and can say that it successfully fixed all my “unable to load” songs…
Great Work!!!
May 19, 2014 at 3:51 am #420581excellent.
now start brainstorming ways to fix the remaining problems. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
May 19, 2014 at 7:07 am #420584The thing I’ve noticed in the songs “Hurts So Good” and “After Forever” is inside filename. The original con file when extracted have all file names as “cij_HurtsSoGood” and “cij_AfterForever”, while ps3 files have file names as “cij_hurtssogood” and “cij_afterforever”, not sure if filenames cannot be with capital letters or something.
Also in the quick pack editor as the file name stays: “cij_HurtsSoGoodv4” and “cij_AfterForeverv4”
Here’s what happens when converting .con file:
Extracted mogg file cij_afterforever.mogg successfully
Extracted milo file cij_AfterForever.milo_xbox successfully
Extracted mogg file cij_hurtssogood.mogg successfully
Extracted milo file cij_HurtsSoGood.milo_xbox successfully
Not sure that’s the problem, but that song is freezing in the library if you put it as “cij_hurtssogood” and “cij_afterforever” and when you rename files as “cij_HurtsSoGood” or “”cij_AfterForever” I got “unable to load song skipping” error.
Also I’ve noticed in C3 con tools beta when I try to remove songs from the list I get this error “unhandled exception has occurred in your application. Length cannot be less then zero Parameter name: lenghth

May 19, 2014 at 8:32 am #420587Hi guys,
good to see you are still testing things. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
It looks like I can join you at mid of this week so stay busy on testing… ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
May 19, 2014 at 1:18 pm #420597The thing I’ve noticed in the songs “Hurts So Good” and “After Forever” is inside filename.
Early on in the PS3 converter development TDCMark mentioned that PS3 songs had to be in all lower case for the file names and folder names. So since the beginning, the converter has changed all folder and file names to be lowercase.
Play around with that and see if you get a solution. I’ll check tonight when I’m home those two songs in specific, but that renaming behavior is normal.
May 19, 2014 at 2:31 pm #420600oh okey. Yeah I noticed that all songs in ps3 are in lower case. Just tought that might be the problem, but later on I saw all files in ps3 are like that. Can you look why I can’t remove the songs from the list in the new beta?
May 19, 2014 at 3:39 pm #420608Upload the file somewhere so I may look at it. Since I don’t actually use these it’s difficult to get a real working file with multiple songs going.
May 19, 2014 at 4:06 pm #420610I mean in C3 con tools beta when I go to manage pack DTA file I have like 5 times song “Hurts so good” and if I delete it and try to save the list I get the error I mentioned above.
May 19, 2014 at 7:48 pm #420624I still need to see the file, I don’t have one on my end.
I am willing to bet the error is caused by the multiple entries of the same song. It’s definitely not created with that kind of situation in mind, though if I coded it right it should handle it fine. But I don’t know
Upload your file and link it here or PM me a link to it.
