I’m wondering if it needs more time and because I only let it wait 2 seconds (more than enough on my pc) it may not have yet finished on yours? What are your specs?
None of this would be a problem if the person who created rebuilder had made it a proper console application and not this crap that it is. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
May 15, 2014 at 9:17 pm #420368That’s an idea, could be a timing problem.
My PC is not very fast. Just an office system with lower specs. I made another screenshot on that.
So increase the waiting time for rebuilder.exe three or four times and let’s see what happens. We can decrease it a little bit afterwards if it works…
May 15, 2014 at 10:48 pm #420375I’ll see what I can do tonight. But that should be more than enough power to mess with a simple MIDI file. We’re talking overkill, really.
May 16, 2014 at 2:34 am #420400Well, redownload from the same link and try again.
I updated TrueAncestor EDAT Rebuilder from 1.25 to 1.45c, which I believe is the latest. It still works the same way, and the same code worked. I changed the time between commands from 100ms to 500ms, and you can choose from 2, 5 or 10 seconds to wait for it to make the EDAT, although I doubt that’s going to make a difference.
Hopefully between the added time and the updated rebuilder files it works out. It continues to work fine on my end. I can’t make it NOT work…it always works fine
May 16, 2014 at 11:19 am #420409I finally been able to test your new c3 beta tools I had no problems with it at all.
Grabed cons put them in folder choosed type 2 (wait 2 seconds)
copied to my ps3
tested all the right moves – works
tested All time low – works
tested too young to fall in low – failed “unable to load song skipping”
May 16, 2014 at 11:23 am #420410Alright, let’s go…
After I downloaded and zipped the folder it says 296 files and 10 folders.
I zipped the program as usual on the desktop.
Once again I put the song umbrella in the CON folder and started your program.
I choosed type 2 with 10 sec latency and did the conversion again without merging the song.
The log file looks good for me.
Now I try to load and play the song in RockBand…
I dropped the whole created folder (“umbrellacrunk”) to my ps3, not only the EDAT file alone.
Success!! The song is working fine, no “skipping song” issue anymore!
Now let’s see if it works with 5 and 2 sec latency…
5 sec latency:
The log file looks good again.
Success!! Song works!
2 sec latency:
Log file looks fine again.
Success!! Song still works!
Now I try Stairway to Heaven. I only do it with the 2 sec option…
Log file looks good.
Success again!
Now last try with both songs and 2 sec latency…
Log file is fine.
Success!! I think we got a new release!!
Good work, TrojanNemo!!
May 16, 2014 at 11:24 am #420411tested too young to fall in low – failed “unable to load song skipping”
Did you try to choose 10 sec for “too young to fall in love”?
May 16, 2014 at 11:27 am #420412When I tried converting 3 songs 2 songs where fine but too young to fall in love edat had only 1kb, when I solo converted that song, edat was normal and had 110 kb, after I tested it and it’s working fine. So I guess I had to put to 5 or 10 sec.
Nice job guys for finding solution for “Unable to load song” problem, now it’s up for TDCMark to see what’s wrong with those songs that are freezing in menu and the one that have corrupted sound in the middle of songs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
May 16, 2014 at 12:04 pm #420414Sounds like great results of the testing.
Is the tools now posted which contain this latency option?

Great. I think it may have come down to the 500ms vs. 100ms wait time between commands. I don’t think the 2 seconds vs 10 seconds wait time for encrypting makes much of a difference.
When I tried converting 3 songs 2 songs where fine but too young to fall in love edat had only 1kb, when I solo converted that song, edat was normal and had 110 kb, after I tested it and it’s working fine. So I guess I had to put to 5 or 10 sec.I think I mentioned this before. When we first started working on PS3 customs, we started with TrueAncestor EDAT Rebuilder. But we quickly noticed that when batch encrypting it tends to get screwed up. So we defaulted to edattool which seems to handle multiple conversions back to back fine. If you’re trying to fix a song by using Type 2, then do them one by one. The default process should still be to rely on edattool (Type 1) unless the song fails in game.

I doubt he’ll be able to find a solution. The audio is fine before and after encrypting as far as we can tell. And getting into the mogg header or details of the encryption is something neither of us is qualified to do, unfortunately.
Sounds like great results of the testing. Is the tools now posted which contain this latency option?
No. Use the BETA linked in this thread on this page.
EDIT: For the hell of it, why don’t you try reconverting a couple of the songs that start fine and then get corrupted in the middle of the song with this new and “improved” version of the converter. See what happens.

I converted the song “She will be loved” by Maroon5 and I have to say that the freeze error still persists. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
May 16, 2014 at 5:58 pm #420443Well, that sucks.
Try all all other problematic songs (regardless of what their problem was) with this new version of the Converter and just give me a confirmation that the current release is good so I can remove the debugging stuff from it tonight.
Then make an updated list of what’s broken and we’ll try to brainstorm other ideas.
May 16, 2014 at 6:29 pm #420445I will not be able to do these things until of the beginning of next week, cause I’m not at home.
If there is anybody else who could do we would get a result earlier… ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
May 16, 2014 at 8:15 pm #420451Surely the others who are using these customs can also help out.
May 16, 2014 at 9:34 pm #420453Tested After Forever with type 2 conversion but same problem exist freezes in the song library. I will test few more tomorrow when I’ll have some more free time. Still pretty busy with connecting stuff in my room after painting walls. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Update: Burning in the sky and The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Hot Patootie – Bless My Soul * got same problem as before
