Did you check “type 2” option when you did conversion?
May 12, 2014 at 10:01 pm #420084Did you check “type 2” option when you did conversion? What program you are talking about?
I guess you mean the EDAT Rebuilder, right?
May 12, 2014 at 10:19 pm #420087There is a small manual I’ve written on how to fix the “skipping song” issue manually with the two programs ps3_edattool_gui and TrueAncestor_EDAT_Rebuilder_v1.45.
Although the comments are written in german there are lots of screenshots that should show you how to go through the procedure.
May 12, 2014 at 11:55 pm #420101I tested your suggestion with the song Too Young to Fall in Love by Mötley Crüe but received the same result “skipping song”.There is a small manual I’ve written on how to fix the “skipping song” issue manually with the two programs ps3_edattool_gui and TrueAncestor_EDAT_Rebuilder_v1.45.Although the comments are written in german there are lots of screenshots that should show you how to go through the procedure.
That seems like a whole lot of not listening to what I’m saying.
1) If you’re having the failure and skipping song in C3 CON Tools, that’s NOT a problem with the tools themselves but something in your setup. Instead of ignoring that, figure out the cause.
2) Your manual instructs people to decrypt the .EDAT to .MID and then encrypt again. I just said you don’t have to. Just get the .MID out of the CON and encrypt that.
If the basic instructions are not being followed, we’ll never get a proper solution.
May 13, 2014 at 12:16 am #420105All Time Low – Umbrella
Mötley Crüe -Too Young to Fall in Love
One Republic – All the Right Moves
Metallica – Dyers Eye
Let’s see if the tools work or not.
All of those are included below, converted on my end using C3 CON Tools.
Let me know.
May 13, 2014 at 12:23 am #420107I fixed it by deleting the 189th song entry. Seems like it was a typo in the song folder name (“rocknrollster” instead of “rocknrollstar”). Thanks a lot ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />That wasn’t the problem. Whoever did that song messed it up. It’s been brought up before. There’s a missing ) near the end of the entry for the song.

That’s was me. It’s at the end of the album art line

Come on, TrojanNemo, I try my best but I’m not a professional like you doing that encryption stuff.
I just wanted to offer a possible solution to all the other guys around if your C3-Tool won’t work for those few songs for any reason.
Tonight I will test your updated C3-Tool again and give a feedback to you.
Would it help to give you the manual encrypted working EDAT song files so you can determine these files?
May 13, 2014 at 12:08 pm #420130No, that wouldn’t help.
Test the ones I uploaded. Those were converted by the Tools. If they work, then there’s a problem when you guys run the tools because it works for me.
If they don’t work, means the whole automating of using TrueAncestor sucks and maybe we’ll need to leave it to the individual users to manually convert the problem songs. But you need to test what I have said more than once now, don’t decrypt the edat, just encrypt the MIDI from the CON file.

OK, just to understand you right:
I’ll take the edat files converted by you and just drop them in the four song folders to see if they work or not.
No conversion now, right?
May 13, 2014 at 1:15 pm #420135Correct.
May 13, 2014 at 7:27 pm #420149All four songs are working fine with your EDAT files.
So there might be an issue on our PC, I guess.
But I don’t have a clue what it could be, cause I used your C3-Tools like you told (not in a windows folder and so on).
May 13, 2014 at 8:25 pm #420154There’s your homework. Figure out why it works on my end but not on yours.
I’ve mentioned other things to look for. Is rebuilder.exe in the /bin folder? Do you have antivirus that may be preventing it from running? You need to look at the process and try to find where it’s going wrong.

Do you have a printout of your C3 CON tools folder(s)? It may be something good on your configuration, not bad on his. No?
May 13, 2014 at 8:46 pm #420156I’ll get one when I get home…but, before encrypting, the program checks for all the files it requires to run. If any are missing, it prompts you and skips the encrypting, so checking the log for the specific message would be helpful. You can also right click to export the log, and you can copy/paste that here.
But I can run it in my development area as well as using the files I uploaded extracted on my desktop. Both ways work for me.
