Hey all,

 

So I’m finally starting charting RB customs beginning with a fairly simple song, “Surprise” by Filter.

 

Thought it would be straightforward as charting for Guitar Hero 3 was and for now it isn’t terribly complicated, at least as far as actual note charting. So far everything seems to be going well however I have a note identification question on drums.

 

So when drums come in, are the hi-hat hits 1/4 notes or 1/8 notes? I hear at least definite 1/4 notes. Looking at a live version of this song the drummer playes 1/8 notes however the studio version is a drum machine and may be completely different (in fact I’m almost positive it is).

 

EDIT: Okay so I played with the equalizer some more and I believe that they’re 1/8 notes. Either way I’m probably gonna use 1/8 because as pksage says, it’s more important that it’s played what the author hears and what everyone else will hear and how fun it will be.
