Hey guys! Remastered versions of “Pushit”, “H.” and “Ænema” are all up for grabs in the database! A huge thanks to Sideshow for allowing me to be one of the many authors to breathe some life into the custom!
But, I owe you guys an apology.
I have frequently failed to deliver on release dates I have published and that bothers me greatly because it doesn’t reflect my character or personality accurately. This seems to be the only realm I’m late in. I know you may argue that this is my free time and any customs are welcome and that I shouldn’t stress about a hobby like this. While I do agree with you, I also know that you guys deserve better! Part of the reason this has happened is that I find myself very stretched with certain life obligations and medical school coming down the pipe. I set dates as an “shoot for the moon, end up in the stars” deal. What I mean by that is setting a date helps focus me and even when it’s unrealistic I strive to meet it. Lately this has resulted in content that’s at 95% completion that sits for months. However, because of the date set and the stress to release by then, it’s also why the content gets to 95% in the first place. I also find myself incredibly slow these days in terms of getting a song polished. I do lots of research and play testing (Tool Songs frequently consume 50 to 60 hours or so per song) because I think that my initial customs were so awful that I never want that to happen again (*cough* first versions of Hooker With a Penis, Jambi, and Rosetta Stoned *cough*). And that’s not to say the customs I do put out meet a high standard, I just know they meet a better standard than they did when I first got started.
What I promise to do is to speed up my process and to get the large amount of material I have out there for you guys to enjoy! To anyone I’ve let down on a date I said I’d have a song out on, I do truly apologize! I will strive to be better about that! The new Tool album will eventually be here and I want to get as much of that mammoth charted and out to you guys in as little time as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thanks for all your comments over the years! I hope you’ll stick with me because we’ve got tons more rocking to do and I don’t plan on going anywhere but back to REAPER!
Lastly, the aforementioned may make me seem tightly wound, but I promise I’m not. I frequently laugh at farts and am basically 5 inside.
