01-01-18: “Amazing Horse” metal cover by Gary Cancer

      wJG5ySP.jpg

This legend right here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbGmrMN3saE) is a metal cover of Amazing Horse. Guitar chart copied from ExileLord’s GH chart. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkOZiWopb78). New lane placements were then referenced from the RBN release of the original song. (Both authors were credited.) Drums I did by myself. Bass was not authored. I’m probably gonna chart it later, and then update the chart. Vocals was ripped directly from the chart of the RBN release. (No, I’m NOT linking it. Don’t ask.) This cover is only the first verse and chorus, and the singing is different from the original one, so changes were made accordingly. Also, talkies were edited by Samyaza. Samyaza also did overdrive, so a big thanks to him! Keys also wasn’t authored, but that’s not as big of a deal. Was intended to be released on the very first minute of 2018, but it was delayed by a whole hour. Yay!

      Has RB2con!

      01-01-18: “Amen/Breaks/Yeah” – Flexbyte

      yBafKa4.jpg

Basically, there’s this drum machine app for Android called “GrooveMixer” that I discovered in 2015. It comes with three pre-made project files, “Amen”, “Breaks”, and “Yeah”. However, these songs alone are very inadequate length for a worthy custom, Amen and Breaks being just 7 seconds, and Yeah being 28. Even with all of them combined, they’re still under a minute. I actually had to do research to get the metadata for the song, and found out that GrooveMixer was released in 2012, and that the creator’s alias is “Flexbyte.” <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Credit to jamiep for the video preview and overdrive. The preview doesn’t reflect the current charting, so there might be a few issues. No overdrive was authored on vocals because there is no window to activate it.

01-15-18: “Drowning” (from Sonic The Hedgehog)

      ygE5iWG.jpg

When you’re playing Sonic and you hear this theme, you know you’re screwed. Ah yes, the anxiety inducing Drowning theme, now in Rock Band! Thanks to Samyaza for extracting stems! Instruments were done by myself. Reductions were done with CAT and then reviewed. Everything (except for stems; again, thank you Samyaza!) was done by myself.

      Has Video preview and RB2CON!

      06-16-18: “Hentai” – Pink Guy

      5ZAM438.jpg

What better song to return with than “Hentai” by Pink Guy? This song is all about Pink Guy’s alarming obsession with Japanese anime porn, and how his life depends on it. It’s really good for having a laugh on vocals, fun to play on guitar, but drums is very easy, and doesn’t play a whole lot. This took me 8 hours to do. Eight non-stop hours of staring at the computer screen. I just want this custom uploaded onto the site. I haven’t even playtested it yet. I’m sick of staring at this damn screen.

Features manual reductions, overdrive, (mostly) manual venue, and even Practice Mode beat map, so you can hear a custom drum track when slowing the song down. All without the help of someone else! (actually, a little bit of assistance from the C3 Discord…)

RB2CON is added as well! Might not have manual drum anims or Practice Mode beat map.

10-03-18: “Human Music” (from Rick and Morty)

      cjLw3dj.jpg

The pinnacle of my custom charting career.

I promise you, I will put out quality customs sometime later instead of 1-3 part customs that are only one minute long. I promise.

Custom uses single-track audio, but it is in the keys stem since it is only one instrument. In my opinion, I don’t think it qualifies as having “full multiracks.”

10-31-18: Napoleon XIV – “They’re Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!”

      Vrey_ComingToTakeMeAway_visual.png

“They’re Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!” by Napoleon XIV is just one of many novelty songs from the ’60s. The song was an instant success in the United States, peaking No. 3 on the Billboard charts.

The lyrics describe a man’s mental health, as he goes insane over what seems to be an ex-girlfriend, wife, or maybe even pet dog. The song is all talkies, so it shouldn’t be that difficult on vocals.

Drums is no challenge either, playing the same simple rhythm throughout the song.

11-03-18: “Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows” – Andrew Huang (Songs To Wear Pants To)

      8xEws9p.jpg

On November 11, 2010, YouTube musician Andrew Huang uploaded a song and video titled “Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows” as a response to a comment left on his last video. The song is a cheery novelty tune about… well… pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows.

Guitar plays some ukulele chords throughout the entire song.

Bass plays a rhythm with palm mutes throughout the song.

Drums is not a challenge, playing simple snaps all the way.

Keys plays the iconic simple melody across the entire song.

Vocals is the most fun of these instruments, singing about pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows!

11-24-18 (C3X): That Bloke Over There (my old alias) – “Feelin’ Energetic”

      7mEM14B.jpg

So basically, back in May of 2017, I challenged myself to make an album in just a week. All I had with to make music at the time was a phone app. This is one of the most listenable songs on the album, and also the longest, clocking in at four minutes in length. Listen to the album on SoundCloud! https://soundcloud.com/vrey-is-grey/sets/i-have-only-a-week-to-make

Vocals is not very prevalent in the song, playing sparse percussion notes, before a choir joins in momentarily. There are no overdrive activation spots because it’s such a short section, and also there wouldn’t be any window of activation if it was longer.

      Part of C3X!

      RB2con in Other Downloads!

Pro G/B will be added soon!

Note: An adequate preview video hasn’t been made for the pro keys chart, so the video only shows the 5-lane chart when I forgot to export pro keys.

      02-07-19: “mm2wood” , an infamous SiIvaGunner meme

      ieLgQng.jpg

mm2wood, or Wood Man, is a 1995 MIDI file of Wood Man’s stage theme from Mega Man 2. The percussion is very loud, it doesn’t really sound like the original at all. clashing instruments, and it has instruments so off-synce, that I had no choice but to put some notes on 1/32nd grid.

mm2wood was originally hosted on the defunct MIDIShrine, a place for video game MIDIs. It’s actually part of a series of Mega Man 2 MIDIs, and it’s the only one made by “Mingo Games, Ltd.” The others are actually not as bad as mm2wood, surprisingly.

This song has full stems! The drum stem features a hi-hat variation that’s different from the video we all associate with mm2wood due to the creator of the MIDI putting a closed hi-hat and open hat note in the MIDI, which causes a lot of inconsistencies.. There’s also not a lot of kick pedal; the main riff doesn’t have any.

This song actually does have vocals in the form of a choir, but it’s pretty sparse and doesn’t play much in the main riff.

Guitar and keys play the main lead. Since the MIDI has the two “””””””harmonizing””””””” brass parts on seperate tracks (the tracks being incorrectly named “ocarina” and “flute”), I decided to put the top one on guitar and the bottom one on keys.

Guitar also plays the pizzicato in the beginning and middle of the song (which is incorrectly named “synth drum”).

Guitar and bass have full left hand animations, making this the first custom of mine to have them authored by me. That’s a pretty big achievement for me, although most players aren’t gonna pay attention to it, so _ッ_/

If I’m in the mood, then I could make Pro Guitar/Bass, so keep an eye peeled for that. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Bass just plays a bass line that’s obscured by the other instruments.

I also made a beat track for Practice Mode. It’s a pointless attention to detail, but I’m a little proud of it.

I’ve decided to not make an RB2 conversion this time, since I really don’t focus on the game anymore. (If you’ve noticed, I decided to drop the “RB2” from my name. Now I gotta go back and fix all my customs that have VreyRB2 as the author name. Crap)

But other than that, enjoy! Phase Shift has some special things added for Clone Hero players. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

04-01-19 (C3X): Ninja Sex Party – “Shredded Metal”

      Vrey_C3X_NSP_Shred_visual.png

Shredded Metal–a comedy skit from Ninja Sex Party’s second album, “Strawberries and Cream”–proves that even a senseless murderer like Ninja Brian still has a sense of humor.

The premise of this skit is that Danny wants to show the listener “the most intense metal song of all time” that they’ve been working on for three and a half years, but Ninja Brian doesn’t quite play the right thing.

Gotta give credit to Ultimate_MANG0 even though I did everything in this song. We just exchanged via DM’s.

04-05-19 (C3X): “Green Hill Zone” (from Sonic The Hedgehog 1)

      vrey_c3x_greenhill_visual.png

Part of C3X Leg 2 Week 11 (Day 2, “Video Game Week”)

What’s “video games” without Sonic The Hedgehog? Most importantly, what is Sonic The Hedgehog without Green Hill Zone!

This tune from the first Sonic game (later used in several others) is the first song you hear when you play the game (apart from the title screen). We all know the tune, and it’s finally here in Rock Band!

The game released in 1991, but didn’t get an album release until 2011. This metadata reflects that.

Guitar plays the main line in the song, and keys play whatever else. Drums and bass aren’t very noteworthy though. they just play their respective instruments.

Stems courtesy of Samyaza! They gave them to me a loooong time ago when we were talking about this song. If you’re seeing this Sam, then thank you!

      04-07-19: Noisestorm – “Crab Rave”

      8N1Q4cv.jpg

For those of you who don’t know, Crab Rave is a song by Irish producer Noisestorm, which was released on April Fools’ 2018, with an accompanying music video. The video consists of a bunch of crabs dancing on an island.

The song and video have become a meme in 2018, most notably added with the captions “OBAMA IS GONE.” It has also appeared in several remix videos.

The main synths are played on keys, and accompanying synths are played on guitar. To make sure the guitar part doesn’t miss out on the fun, guitar–along with keys–play the synth during the chorus.

This song contains a manual venue, which I am REALLY proud of! Just stop and see for yourself!

      04-19-19 (C3X): Lifehouse – “You and Me”

      vrey_spin_c3x_youandme_visual.png

For C3X Leg 2 Week 13 (Good Friday)!

One of Lifehouse’s most well-known songs–apart from Hanging by a Moment. Lifehouse is a Christian rock band from Los Angeles. They really only had one big hit–that being Hanging by a Moment, but You and Me comes close.

Co-authored by Spindoctor, who did the original chart, but I went and revamped everything. This song has been in progress for a long time now, so I’m finally glad to have it out on the DB!

Song, as always, features a manual venue done completely by me! This is one I’m reeeally proud of!

06-09-19: Strong Bad – “Everybody To The Limit”

      NtkLNEO.jpg

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsZ03WqNP-0

Thought I’d finish up an old WIP of mine in the meantime <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

homestarrunner.com is one of the most memorable corners of the internet in the Flash cartoon days. If you were a kid growing up in the early 2000’s, you might’ve heard of this site before. It birthed one of the most memorable characters on the internet in the early 2000’s: Strong Bad.

Strong Bad himself started one of the most popular series on Homestar Runner: Strong Bad Emails. This song branched off of one of these emails.

The melody is charted to guitar, bass, and keys, so the whole band can play!

      08-09-2019 (C3X): The Offspring – “Feelings”

      Feelings.jpg

This song, if it wasn’t made apparent from the title, is a lyrical “adaptation” of Morris Albert’s “Feelings.” This song takes a complete 180 from the original song and gives it that punk angst, courtesy of The Offspring.

Instead of the original lyrics about “feelings of love”, this song takes a turn and changes it to “feelings of haaaaaate!”

      08-30-2019 (C3X): Vrey’s Shameless Self-Promotion Pack!

      VreyAsp_04_C3X_Free_visual.png

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ctc5kCp3mXQ

These are selections from my 2019 album, “Aspirations”, released for the C3X encore. Download here: https://vreyisgrey.bandcamp.com/album/aspirations

The pack starts off with the fourth track off the album.

This song can be described as heavenly. From the emotional strings, to the instrumentation, to the lyrics of the song. Speaking of lyrics, this song is the only one in the pack to have vocals, and even then, it’s just five phrases. But even with that, this song doesn’t have a lot of breathing in between those five phrases, as they were not sung by a human… kind of.

You see, I wanted to record myself singing this song and have it vocoded, but alas, I was kind of… “vocal shy.” So what I did, was I spliced clips of childrens’ author and poet Michael Rosen (A.K.A. the “click nice” guy). I edited the clips in Sony Vegas so that he speaks the lyrics, then I vocoded it to a file of the main melody, and so they combined.

As for the instruments, they’re really not much of a hassle. Guitar waits for a bit, then plays beautiful arpeggios at the one chorus in the song, stops, and then plays grace note-like chords. Drums plays this basic beat on the chorus, stops, then plays hand drums. Bass is pretty barebones, playing a basic line throughout the chorus, and then waiting until the last chord of the song to play a single note.

Keys, however, while they only play whole note chords, these chords carry the song, playing strong and powerful strings. These chords, especially during the chorus, usually consist of 4-note chords on pro keys, and it’s kind of difficult to switch hand positioning, especially on pro.

      VreyAsp_10_C3X_Aspirations_visual.png

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsvNWJMzzS4

This is the titular title track off the album. This song actually dates back the furthest and was planned to be on an album before the album’s conception. This song here is basically a sentimental, yet hopeful pop-ish song for the whole band to play (unless you’re a vocalist haha).

Keys just plays chords throughout the song, but then changes it up a bit with a bridge consisting of a solo.

Since there is no guitar in the song, the guitar part plays a vibraphone instead. The “guitar” part isn’t that difficult, but kinda fun to play.

Bass only plays some accompaniment, playing the notes in the chords and not much else.

Drums is where it gets interesting. The drum part is kind of frantic, consisting of breakbeat-esque patterns with some embellishments, and very tough and strenuous fills that require the right hand quickly positioning across pads to play the toms, along with a few difficult fast kick patterns. This is the only part in the pack to be rated 6 dots.

On top of that, this song has a Big Rock Ending! I likely would’ve never added this into the song if I wasn’t aware of it in Rock Band. Enjoy!

      vreyasp_11_c3x_theendwip_visual.png

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_dPJ1qiv7g

This is the eleventh and final track off the album, coming immediately after the title track “Aspirations”.

This song takes a drastic turn from the somber, yet cheerful vibe of the previous track, to this incredibly melancholic solo piano piece. There’s a reason for that, and that reason being is that I was in a pretty bad spot at the time of making this piece. I tried to get it as dissonant, as melancholic, and as alienated as possible, and I think I succeeded.

There’s not really that much in terms of difficulty, but I still wanted to chart this thing anyway.

      11-29-2019 (Chart-a-Thon): The Offspring Pack!

      mOXFYol.jpg

From their 2003 album “Splinter”, this short but sweet thrash punk tune from The Offspring is named after the titular tough-guy Hawaiian surfers that formed in the 70’s. This song is a depiction of their general badassery, because you don’t fuck with Da Hui, lest they fuck with you.

      4H7LsUQ.jpg

This song, in premise, is very similar to their hit single “Pretty Fly For A White Guy”; similar instrumentation, with similar percussion elements; as well as a similar song structure too. Some may even call it a sequel to Pretty Fly. This one, though, deals with a young prankster that loves to cause trouble, and that eventually he’ll regret pulling those pranks.

It’s also worth noting that this is the only song in the pack with a keys part, although it’s not really anything noteworthy; it’s just a loop that plays on occassion throughout the riff and verses.

      R8V5Imk.jpg

Here’s another pick from “Splinter”. This song in particular deals with someone that Dexter knows is depressed, but when he tries to help them, they try to hide it.

Fun fact: The music video was filmed with over 125 different cameras.

12-13-2019 (Chart-a-Thon): Blonde Redhead – “For The Damaged Coda”

      YWjGDDU.jpg

Most of you probably know this as Evil Morty’s Theme from Rick and Morty, because this played during a significant part during the show. I admit I don’t know too much Blonde Redhead outside of this particular song, sorry!

AJFOne23 did drums, I did everything else!

12-19-2019 (Chart-a-Thon): Super Nintendo Music Pack!

      01enntO.jpg

Because it would practically be a crime not to include this song in a SNES oriented pack! Keys play the iconic steel drum melody, guitar plays accompaniment, bass swiftly plays along on the tuba, and drums are absent until the second loop when the Yoshi bongos come in. Fun for the whole family!

      pLpldb9.jpg

I’ll admit I don’t really know anything about the game and I didn’t take part in charting this, but it looks to be a fun challenge on all instruments, including keys.

      12-19-2019: Empire Today JingleFiuVdDO.jpg

Fuck it. Why not one more custom before the end of the decade?

This has been sitting on my hard drive for months, and I never wanted to release it for some reason… until now. Now I’ve decided to give it some touch-ups and release it to you guys, because why not?

For the harmonies chart, I used sheet music as a reference, and it was stunningly very accurate. However, there’s four vocal parts in the original jingle, so corners had to be cut.

I’ve decided to chart the one bass note to bass, guitar, AND pro keys. I even went out of my way to make a Pro Guitar/Bass chart for it, because why the hell not?!

This song even has a venue for the five people that care.

      Enjoy.

03-31-20: The Rabbit Joint – “Zelda”

      VtReQNJ.jpg

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOd-oDT0dus

This song got its popularity in the early 2000’s when it was spread around Napster. It’s notable for being incorrectly labeled as by System of a Down. Later, the true origin of the song was discovered to be by a man named Joe Pleiman as part of the band “The Rabbit Joint”.

Searching for the correct metadata was quite challenging, given how little it appears online. I did eventually find the album it belongs to, as well as the cover art, track listing, the year it came out, etc.

Enjoy this little piece of internet history!

04-24-20: Vrey Is Grey – “Quarantine”

      vn6AJ0U.jpg

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bu8icpti78

“There has never been a worldwide crisis quite like this in years. Nobody’s been equipped to deal with a pandemic like this, and as such, everyone has transitioned into an apocalyptic style of life, which is unfortunate. The Earth has truly become a modern-day dystopia, and I fear for what else may come.

Condolences to all the lives lost and families devastated due to COVID-19.”

Obviously, amidst this worldwide pandemic and me being stuck at home wasting away, the silver lining in this situation is that the inspiration struck to create a destroyed and bitter sounding piano piece regarding it.

The song is very much not full band, as a matter of fact, it’s only keys. What keys does play, however, is an incredibly slow and dramatic solo piano arrangement, given an artificial bitcrush effect, to sell the effect of degraded, aged vinyl, reminiscent of The Caretaker’s “Everywhere At The End Of Time”, which was a partial inspiration for this piece.

The song is actually incredibly slow. Even though I created this entirely in a DAW, and no “real” piano is being played (it’s just a soundfont), the song has an incredibly subtle tempo dip, starting at about 60 BPM, and slowing down to 55 BPM over the course of the song, and then, in the final part of the song, the tempo dips exponentially to around 42 BPM, which is very close to the minimum tempo that Magma will let you use. So even then, I had to tempo map my own song.

Here’s where I discuss the very intricate details that would bore regular folk to death.

Extra attention to detail was paid when authoring the animations for keys. Simply having the right hand play the notes of the pro chart was just unacceptable and didn’t sell the effect. I made sure to transcribe it as accurately as possible within the confines of the animations. The right hand and left hand parts are actually separate tracks, even in the project file, so there was no guesswork deciding which hand gets which. This also allows for the two parts to pop in and out of the keys stem depending on which part is most prominent in the chart, making this technically a multitrack custom. I also had to take a few creative liberties; I had to fudge the animations a little bit, making the keyboardist play the “wrong notes” when the situation called for it. For instance, the right hand melody plays a single note just barely outside of the very top of the register, so I decided to put the note as the top C on the piano, so the right hand didn’t just quickly grace the lower octave, although I made sure not to put the camera on the keyboardist’s hand. There’s also two instances, one at the very end, where the left hand plays a very low and “bassy” note, but instead of authoring the correct note, I set it to the bottom C of the register to give the effect of hitting a very low note.

As for the venue, I decided to capitalize on the “aged vinyl” effect by making the entire song in the “photocopy” post-processing effect, which is a very fuzzy, low frame rate, black and white, which suited it perfectly. However, due to the lack of color, I went to town on the lighting cues and camera shots, making them as dynamic and effective as possible. In the end, I think it turned out brilliantly.

Anyhow, enjoy this new release from me!

      06-11-20: “At Doom’s Gate” (from DOOM (SNES)]CQAyGvq.jpg

I think it was about time this song got the update it so finally deserved. In case you don’t know, there is a chart of this song that is very infamous for its lack of quality, including off-grid and inaccurate charting, horrible quality stems that even go out-of-sync with one another and has the Magma audio glitch in it where one side of the audio gets muffled. And so I took it upon myself to release this.

This custom actually dates a bit far back, as this was intended for the SNES music pack that I’d released for Chart-a-thon with TheWay123 back near the end of 2019. I’m now bringing this chart out of development hell after being on the backburner for so long (much like Duke Nukem Forever, hehe).

The original DOOM was released on multiple machines, all with very different soundchips; as mentioned previously, this particular chart is built off the SNES version. Probably not the best and most authentic version, but hey, it works.

As for the charts, the guitar is obviously the most notable, sporting some basic easy thrash riffs interrupted by ridiculous shredding interludes. Drums is relatively straightforward, but the fills can be quite the challenge and are just enough to warrant a 2x Bass Pedal version. Bass, unfortunately, gets the least treatment, playing just straight 8th notes and is not all that audible in the mix.

      Anyways, enjoy.

      07-11-20: Jonathan Coulton – “I’m Your Moon”

      EGQb1Ta.jpg

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ea3RYXVujM

This love song by Jonathan Coulton is written from the perspective of Pluto’s moon, Charon, after the IAU decided Pluto was no longer a planet, but instead a “dwarf planet”. Coulton addressed this in his live concert as “a status which did not even exist prior to Pluto’s demotion, thereto; which frankly seems like kind of a dick move to me. I am not a scientist, of course, so I don’t know. Maybe that’s the kind of dick move that you pull if you’re a scientist.” It was released only one day after the fact. The song lyrics are surprisingly heartwarming as you can get for a moon and the “planet” it belongs to.

The original guitar and drums charts for Clone Hero were done by Nightmare Lyra, with minor touchups. I added the bass, vocals, and keys afterwards. Another thank you to Gigakoops for getting in contact with me to issue me the stems (which were actually distributed by JoCo himself a while back).

As for the instruments themselves, their parts are basic and not very challenging, but fun to play. Keys has a lot of broken chords, so watch out for those.

The original song also faded out, but I made a minor edit to give the song a proper ending.

Once again, preview video by Naav! Although I never told him ahead of time that the song had stems, so he just overlaid the song audio that I had to send to him. Oops, my bad haha!

      08-05-20: Kevin MacLeod – “Carefree”

      4r1UvUr.jpg

Ah yes, the infamous “royalty-free ukulele” song, bound to drive anyone insane.

Kevin MacLeod is perhaps most well known for his endless library of royalty-free music that’s used in so many YouTube videos, and then some songs became particularly infamous, this song being probably the most famous example.

And yes, those difficulty tierings are accurate. Every instrument in this song is super easy. Guitar plays the ukulele before an actual guitar joins in, drums play a shaker for 3 minutes, bass plays– well, an actual bass, and keys plays the glockenspiel.

It’s worth noting that this song actually does multitracks. I could only find multitracks for this song, though. Kevin did distribute paid stems, but they are no longer available. I had to find the stems elsewhere.

08-08-20: Ween – “Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down)”

      Vrey_Ween_SpinalMeningitis_visual.png

The second track off of Ween’s fourth album and first recorded in a professional studio, “Chocolate and Cheese”, is an grim and creepy song about a child with spinal meningitis, as the name would imply. The verses consist of a macabre child-like voice with an eerie dinging noise throughout the song, but the choruses are more subdued. Following the song is a harrowing, screeching guitar solo, which the song then ends afterwards.

        Plans:

        -Manual venue

        -Video preview

Well, it’s been a while, huh?

My father let me use his computer today, so you just KNOW I had to whip up a custom! I set it all up on to my flash drive so nothing on his computer stays. This took me 8 hours to do. Eight non-stop hours of staring at the computer screen. I just want this custom uploaded onto the site. I haven’t even playtested it yet. I’m sick of staring at this damn screen.

Preview video coming hopefully very soon!

              UPDATE:

My one goal was to get a custom out before school starts in August, but the past month has been really hectic regarding customs. Getting distracted, starting way too many new custom projects, and generally being lazy has what caused such a delay. My last custom was June 16th, a full month ago.

Why am I telling you this? Well, I’ve noticed for quite a while now that I’ve never uploaded a custom that’s full band (meaning G/B/D/V/) or longer than two minutes. I feel like I’ve never uploaded anything worthwhile to this site and instead just doing obscure/meme songs, and I want to make it up to you. I promise I’ll be doing something special in August. I don’t know what it will be. I just know it will be special.

But I can’t do it alone. I will need other authors to collaborate and fill in, so that’s why I’m announcing…

              Vrey’s Public WIP Spreadsheet!

That’s cool and all, but where IS it?

You see, it’s still being worked on. But for now I’ll put out Visualizer previews in my WIP thread

The Real Savage One Lone Pixelated Borky Bork Who Plays St3pm4n1a And Got A Streak On A Synth Song, or TRSOLPBBWPSAGASOASS for short, or TRSOLP for shorter, is a band comprised of members of this very C3 community! Their band name is an amalgamation of the main members’ online names. They are mainly regarded as making unlistenable music for the sake of making unlistenable music, but sometimes they do make actually decent songs. Wait A Sec Mom is one of those songs.

To paraphrase from the Genius page (yes, there is a Genius page), this song was made entirely by PixelGH, a member of the band, after his mother walked in on him listening to math metal, and she was bewildered by the fact that her son would listen “to such aggro music.” This song was also an attempt to make a “djent” song out of 8-bit synthesizers.

Anyways, enough blabbering about history, let’s get on to how the actual song plays in Rock Band!
Only one word to describe it, and other TRS customs as a whole: Yikes…

Drums starts off playing complicated double bass rhythms. Your feet will be sore by the time you get to the end; the song has 16th note bass pedals at 175bpm!

Guitar is no slouch either, playing a really fast rhythm that requires you press both hands on the fretboard like those really big Clone Hero YouTubers do it before mellowing out into a string section. Guitar then chunks a melody until the end of the song.

Keys may very well be not only the hardest instrument of this song, but out of every C3X custom as a whole! Keys is not all that special until the end of the song, where keys plays a ridiculous solo that perfectly demonstrates the limitations of human nature. I don’t know WHAT I’ll do if somebody actually FCs’ this! (looking at you Jarod)
Now, I don’t do guitar/bass animations, but I decided for a moment of time that I wanted my C3X customs to have manual animations. Kueller did the animations for me. This will likely be my only song with G/B animations, as I don’t want to let Kueller’s hard work go to waste.

Pro G/B will probably be added soon!

RB2con contains adjusted instruments to suit the guitar part!

                            Part of C3X!

                                http://customscreators.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/mm2wood-r23076

mm2wood, or Wood Man, is a 1995 MIDI file of Wood Man’s stage theme from Mega Man 2.

I also made a beat track for :Practice Mode.
