It was on RBN’s testing forum way back. It never went up for sale so I don’t see why it can’t be released.
March 13, 2015 at 5:58 am #440521Awesome. Thanks.
March 13, 2015 at 12:20 pm #440532It was on RBN’s testing forum way back. It never went up for sale so I don’t see why it can’t be released.Because it’s not yours to begin with. You can’t take a CON from somebody who was working to release it to sell it and distribute it without asking first. The fact that it was never released doesn’t it make it public domain.
March 14, 2015 at 12:06 am #44058199% of the stuff released here isn’t public domain. Not sure how this is any different from all the GH conversions, but whatever.
March 14, 2015 at 11:59 am #440618We had this come up in the past and I’m glad to reiterate the concept:
Clearly we operate in a grey area, it’s not a matter of using audio over which we have or not have any rights over. When we say “other people’s work” we mean the actual work on the chart. Anything we release we work on: conversions need to happen for Guitar Hero game files to be used in Rock Band; adaptations need to happen to get FoF songs in Rock Band; etc. What we don’t allow is to take something that is either available to be bought or downloaded basically as is or other people’s work (in this case the RBA compiled file) without consent. The reason is simple: conversions mean that the file is not available and never was intended to be used in Rock Band. Taking a CON made for Rock Band means taking a file that was made exactly for the game. Plus, in this case it was taken from a restricted access area.
March 14, 2015 at 1:06 pm #440620What if it’s incomplete and work is done to fix it up? Is that ok? The file in question has a shoddy drum chart and would be up Canuck’s alley. I’m genuinely confused by the rules sometimes given the grey area nature of everything on this forum. Kind of seems random sometimes. I feel like I’ve seen unreleased RBN files here before, though I can’t say for certain. I won’t belabour this any further, I’m just curious if some iteration of it could be shared eventually.

It’s not like we fined you a gazillion dollars though, I just deleted the link. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> Plus, remember that RBN is a place very near to us, since a lot of our authors come from there, so we have a higher threshold for what we do. Everytime we touched RBN material we contacted the original authoring group or we even brought them on board.
March 25, 2015 at 3:04 am #441285Added a couple of Nickelback songs.

Any chance you’d consider doing “Used for Glue”?
May 21, 2015 at 1:12 am #445991Few new ones added. The only one I’m not sure that’s been done is House of the Rising Sun.
June 5, 2015 at 8:21 pm #447258Hi Canuck .
Thanks for all the great work you do. You have some awesome songs !!
In your thread it says you added a couple Nickleback songs .
Are these complete or in the works.
If completed where is the download link ?
If not I can’t wait to see what they are.
Thanks Have a great Day !
June 6, 2015 at 2:22 am #447291The songs are Bottoms Up and Shak’in Hands. They are done, just not looked over and tested.
June 6, 2015 at 8:45 pm #447359Hey Canuck
Would you consider adding ( Nickelback – Million Miles an Hour ) someday to drum songs ?
A really good tune I loved playing drums to growing up also was ( The Blend – Prize ) an awesome song.
I only have the MP3 file of it. If you’ve never heard it ? Shoot me a PM if you’d like to take a listen ?
Thanks
