How about you read the log as it converts the song? You’ll find out it tells you all sorts of things. If files are missing (you didn’t even specify which files and I’m not going to guess) the log should say something during the conversion process.
Make sure you’re using the latest version. Convert one of the songs giving you problems. Copy/paste the log file here.
August 28, 2015 at 6:44 am #453770Is anyone else experiencing issues running the tools on Windows 10? I tried running them, but nothing happened. I never got to see the menu.
August 28, 2015 at 6:48 am #453771I’ve had no issues with it on Windows 10
August 28, 2015 at 7:05 am #453773It’s not a Windows 10 problem, I’m on Windows 10 with no problems.
August 28, 2015 at 7:24 am #453774Ah, somehow all but the .exe disappeared from the folder. Working now, thanks :-p
August 29, 2015 at 7:57 am #453892Hi, I downloaded RBtoUSB and it was very easy to use to get the con files on, I have the song cache and TU4 on the USB stick and when I load up the game and it is downloading song content it gets right to the end adds the new songs as always then the game crashes. Can you tell me what may be causing this, sorry if this has been asked before? If I then remove the songs from the USB the game will work as normal? Thanks for any help you can offer.
September 20, 2015 at 12:50 am #455416Hello
I have been using C3 CON Tools for a while now converting the forums xbox releases and the song data base xbox releases successfully into ps3. But for the lately the process has be allowing a preview(audio) but when the song has been selected to play it always says “skipping…” error. I have usually picked the convert edat with the 10 sec delay to solve this but it has not been solving this lately. Has something changed?
September 20, 2015 at 12:53 am #455417September 20, 2015 at 1:03 am #455419Thanks for the link TrojanNemo, and I have read the recent section of this link that you posted.
But my example goes back before just the last couple weeks… ei I tried to convert the Radiohead songs from the xbox titles before the ps3 links were posted and the all gave me the “skipping” errors. Yet when the links where posted for the ps3 converts they worked flawlessly. I am just hoping to acquire the knowledge of the settings that are used to convert these like many other songs lately that I have been getting these errors with.
Like this weeks links for the Bon Jovi & Eric Church songs are giving me the same “skipping” errors, from the xbox versions converted to ps3, even using the 10 sec edat fix.
September 20, 2015 at 1:12 am #455420Well, i’m not the one converting them. I give you the tools, and the PS3 Converter in particular has many settings and options because Sony sucks. You’d need to talk to hamburgerjung for the specifics on how he does it, since he’s the one doing the C3 conversions.
September 20, 2015 at 1:41 am #455421Maybe he’ll chime in on this, or I’ll pm him in a few days

v3.9.0
VISUALIZER

- Fixed broken ability to use and reposition author logo
- Reworked most of the underlying code and some of the GUI for a better experience overall and to fix various minor bugs
SETLIST MANAGER
- Added new PDF exporting preset - "MACST3R"
- Added animation to indicate it's working when exporting a PDF setlist with many pages
- Few other bug fixes and improvements to PDF exporting
AUDIO ANALYZER
- Added option to outline audio tracks to more easily tell them apart - to toggle click on Options -> Outline audio tracks
- Few minor fixes and improvements
FILE INDEXER

PS3 CONVERTER
- Fixed bug that broke PS3 encryption of some moggs that were already encrypted
UPGRADE BUNDLER
- Fixed bug where if "Default to upgrade ID over original song ID" was checked and "Show new song ID prompt before bundling" was unchecked the resulting bundled file would have the original ID and not the upgrade ID as it should
GENERAL
- Added option to disable the administrator mode warning that gives false positives for some of you - click on Settings -> Help -> Administrator Mode warning
- Code changes throughout the entire Tools for improved extracting and reading of DTA and MOGG files for increased speed and reduced hard drive usage - thanks to Maxton for the suggestion and code sample
I’ve been working on this update for well over a month, but been distracted with some of the other projects. Not to mention this is a pretty significant update, not only because of the substantial changes, but also because I do not intend to do any further updates until 1) we figure out how to get at the RB4 files or 2) I have time in 2016 to issue more updates.
If you find small bugs, something I can fix in 5-10 minutes I might take a look, but nothing overly complex and definitely no new features. I know some things were requested that did not make it, sorry – I’ll keep those requests in the back burner for 2016.
Hopefully there aren’t any significant bugs in this release. Enjoy.
September 21, 2015 at 7:46 am #455492Hi, I just tried 3.9.0. I like the new additions, but they are not working for me. I extracted over 3.8.1, and also tried in a new folder.
1. “Open folder that contains this file”, just opens an explorer window, not the file folder. For me it was my profile folder with “My Documents” folder selected.
2.The File indexer crashes with an error, when using send to feature.
send to visualiser shows empty visualizer with no details filled in, but no error.
send to con explorer
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

at System.Windows.Forms.Control.InvokeMarshaledCallbacks()It seems it trying to find/open a file using the song ID, not the file name.
3. Indexer – Menu – Find songs without wipe-proof ids
It prompts, it searches, it reduces my count of “x songs across y files” but also shows me songs i know are wipeproof, and way more than i have that are wipe-proof. The search box is then greyed out with the text “[FILTER]”
My song count goes from 2207/2070 to 1023/972 I only have about 200 that should be non-wipe-proof.
The song ID’s included that i know are wipe-proof are from 1000000013 – 1000001754
The next 2 highest ID’s that are wipe-proof are 1000200001 & 1005400014
4. This just and FYI. the song ID column, shows me the ID’s of some DLC i have that i was extracting/putting into packs with the correct ID. It even shows a blank for songs that show in Con explorer as “NOT PRESENT IN DTA” That’s good.
Hope this helps.
September 21, 2015 at 11:53 am #455497Goddamm it I knew I forgot something.
#1 and #2 are caused by one stupid mistake I didn’t fix when I moved the Song ID field to go before the File Location field. Easy fix.
As to #3…you sure about that? It’s using the same algorithm that PS3 Converter uses, which in turn should be the same Magma C3 uses. I’ll give it a quick lookover tonight but it should be determining values correctly. Wipe proof is more than just numeric, there are patterns it follows and the IDs have to be within a specified range of values. I don’t remember off the top of my head if the ones you listed should work or not, I’ll check tonight.
For example, your values do not have a valid author ID…
September 21, 2015 at 12:20 pm #455498Took a quick look and sure enough, I was right. You got to remember this is not “Domino’s wipe proof system” – this is TrojanNemo’s system, and my system requires a valid author ID to prevent ID conflicts. Your songs have author ID as 0 and therefore are not valid under the check. Here’s part of the code for your reference:
try
{
var n_id = Convert.ToInt32(s_id);
//valid C3 unique numeric ID range is 1000100001 to 2147399999
if (s_id.Length == 10)
{
return (n_id >= 1000100001 && n_id <= 2147399999);
}
//valid Xbox DLC range starts at 100xxxx, old PS3 custom IDs start with 140xxxx, RBN range starts at 501xxxx
if (s_id.Length == 7)
{
var prefix = s_id.Substring(0, 2);
return prefix == "10" || prefix == "14" || prefix == "50";
}
//Game IDs start at 1 and go to around 3000 (Green Day)
if (s_id.Length < 5)
{
return n_id != 0;
}
return false;
}
catch
{
return false;
}
