Minor update mainly to provide the theming ability for authors releasing this week. Hopefully nothing broke in the code optimization part of the update.
v2.3.5
VISUALIZER
- Added ability to use TIFF (*.tif), GIF (*.gif) and DDS (*.dds) images for the album art
- Added Halloween and Christmas overlays if you want to theme your Visualizer images...these will only show up in the months of October and December respectively
ALBUM ART CONVERTER
- Added ability to open *.tif, *.gif and *.dds images when converting to Xbox/Wii format
- Added ability to convert .dds images to usable Windows format
- New method for creating png_xbox images will generate better looking album art with less artifacts than before
GENERAL
- Bunch of code optimizations
November 1, 2013 at 7:53 pm #408768Here’s a question for those of you who use Le Fluffie to make packs (you should all be doing it!).
How long does it usually take you to create a 1.5GB pack or so? The last time I built The Beatles: Rock Band pack, it was about 1.3GB and I remember it taking somewhere around 8.5 minutes. Yesterday I did a test build of the upcoming TBRB update, and at 1.5GB the whole process took 1 minute 44 seconds.
I’d like to know if this is because of my upgraded computer (3rd-gen i7 with a Samsung 840 Pro SSD) or because the x360 library code is now integrated into Le Fluffie and that somehow speeds up the process, or a combination of both.
November 2, 2013 at 11:55 am #408784Just made a test with a 1.43GB folder (37 songs). It took 4 minute 49 seconds for me.
Usually, I work with 500MB packages and the process lasts 1 minute 45 seconds or so…
November 6, 2013 at 10:04 pm #408924Here’s a preview of the next big feature i’m working on adding to Le Fluffie.
http://www.keepitfishy.com/rb3/lefluffie/MIDICleaner_log.txt
This was requested by at least two forum members so far, and I think now’s as good a time as ever, considering that the GHtoRB3 team announced they would no longer continue the project.
This won’t make it a one-step process to go from a Guitar Hero / Frets on Fire / Phase Shift midi to Rock Band, but it will automate a lot of the initial steps for you. My recommendation would be to first throw the “dirty” midi at this, and use the “clean” version to start your conversion process. You still have a lot to do on your end, but this should help.
EDIT: Yes that’s a 6.x MB text file. In the 17 midi files it processed successfully, there’s about 77,000 changes (and therefore log lines) done.

November 11, 2013 at 2:58 pm #409133Wow o.o
77000 changes in 21 seconds.
That’s insane. I can only imagine the process of doing that by hand… ugg…
TrojanNemo, your programs get more amazing with every update. Since v2.3.4, I haven’t had a single crash!
I thought I should let you know how grateful I am for your program and everything it does. I recently converted a boatload of C3 customs for wii use and the process was fast and painless. You even added some small things like putting the start/stop time in the log so you don’t forget it. Album art conversion was equally painless- the re-sized covers look fantastic in-game, and I now have album art for all the old dlc! The wii community thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for making everyone’s life that much easier.
November 11, 2013 at 4:07 pm #409135Well, thanks for your kind words. I don’t get those too often. So I wonder if nobody uses the tools I create, or nobody cares enough to say “thank you.”
2.4 is already in beta testing, and there’s still at least one more big feature planned before I call it quits, so stay tuned ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 11, 2013 at 9:30 pm #409151before I call it quitsHave you shared your workbench with anybody else?
November 11, 2013 at 9:41 pm #409152you lost me there
November 11, 2013 at 9:42 pm #409153Does anyone else know how to code these programs like you?
November 11, 2013 at 9:46 pm #409154Oh, we definitely have some very talented people in our group, some of which known the language and some which can learn it, and I’ve already approached a couple about the future vacancy for a programmer here. I’m not going to say any names because it wouldn’t be fair to have people harassing them if they choose not to take on the responsibility and crazy amount of hours I’ve dedicated to this hobby.
November 13, 2013 at 3:55 pm #409198What type of pro-G/B upgrades files can the Pro Bundler option in LeFluffie manage?
I mean, yesterday evening I tried to make a single file of Fat Lip (official DLC) and its pro-G/B upgrade (official DLC) in order to start organizing my RB3 folder a mit more clearly and LeFluffie compained that my upgrade file was not a CON or something like this (I can copy/paste the exact message if necessary but only when I get back home).
So I’m wondering how I can manage to obtain pro-G/B files that Le Fluffie can use to merge.
Thank you.
November 13, 2013 at 3:58 pm #409199You’re doing it right.
I just broke that function in one of the previous updates when I did a major overhaul of the code. It’s already fixed in the upcoming v2.4 so just sit tight until then. Sorry!
November 13, 2013 at 11:50 pm #409208Oh, I see. Thank you then. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 14, 2013 at 1:14 am #409211Here’s a preview of the new features being added to Le Fluffie v2.4. This will be my last big release, after this it’ll be like Magma: C3 Roks Edition, just minor updates along the way as bugs are found and reported.
