October 17, 2013 at 11:58 pm #408082Here’s an update. This is mainly to add the ability to display the song rating in the Visualizer images, but I added some extra fixes and improvements here and there.
v2.3.3
VISUALIZER
- Added ability to display song rating (FF = Family Friendly, SR = Supervision Recommended, M = Mature, NR = Not Rated)
- Enabled auto-loading of Author Logo at run-time. Name it "author.png" (224x33 pixels) and place it in the program directory. This image goes in the small rectangle at the bottom of the album art.
- Changed behavior to account for long album names to shorten and add ellipsis (...) rather than have the text go off-screen
- Changed behavior to replace "feat." and "featuring" with the much shorter "ft." to save space and generate text at an easier to read size
- Greatly improved the SPLIT behavior for better splitting and text resizing after splitting
- Fixed bug that would allow Genre/Sub-Genre to be moved up even when there was existing Album Name text
- Fixed bug that would show both Rhythm on Keys / Rhythm on Bass icons when importing a song that was compiled with the Rhythm on Bass marker in Magma.
- Other minor improvements
PHASE SHIFT CONVERTER
- Bug fixes on the song.ini creation code
- Fixed bug that would fail conversion if the song title or artist name had colon ( in the name (i.e. Ulrich Firelord: Breaker of Mountains)
October 18, 2013 at 3:59 am #408096Right, so I decided to give LeFluffie another try (originally couldn’t get it to load) and I’m having issues again. I actually got it to load this time, but as I was going through the process of changing file names, it told me it needed to get a new font. After I tried opening it again, it refused to start (it says “LeFluffie stopped working” immediately). Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?Okay, scratch that, it looks like I was being an idiot and not extracting it properly (or something, I dunno). Now, though, I keep getting stuck on a font update, of all things!
When I click Visualizer (I’m trying to change the titles and album names that appear in game, hopefully that’s the right thing) it says it doesn’t have the font, Myriad, and that I will need to click install to get the font in it. But it just brings up one of those “quick brown fox” demo windows with no option to install.
October 18, 2013 at 4:20 am #408098the Visualizer is what creates the images you see along with the songs when they are released. it has nothing to do with editing what’s in the actual file.
the problem you are having, i’m going to go on a limb here and say is caused by you being on Windows XP? if I am right, I am sorry but I can not offer support for that operating system. It is 12 years old and even Microsoft themselves stopped supporting it! if you are indeed on XP, the only thing I can suggest is open le fluffie’s folder, go to /res/ and find the font.otf file. right click and install, or drag into your Fonts folder in the Control Panel, or however else you install fonts in Windows XP, and that should solve the problem.
but once again, that’s only to make the neat little images, not to change anything.

It’s Vista, actually. I use a Mac, regularly, and borrow my mother-in-law’s PC once every couple weeks to do my Customs business.
I just figured out the issue, for anyone else who has it. I just had to google and install the font (but apparently I needed the bold version).
Thanks for the help anyway. Now I’ll see if I can blunder through what I’m trying to use it for.
October 18, 2013 at 4:32 am #408102Well you most definitely should not need anything except what comes with the program. the font.otf file that is included is all you need. Did you try installing that? I’m glad the issue is resolved at least. Never heard of Vista doing that. I guess the feature only works well with Windows 7 and Windows 8.

I guess the feature only works well with Windows 7 and Windows 8.I must be thick, but I’m still having trouble doing what I want — changing the artist name/titles/album names that appear in game. I’ve been playing around with LF and it seems like I’m supposed to use Song Explorer, then Extract the Package so that I can access the .dta file, and change whatever fields I want. I just don’t know what I do next. I’m probably making it more complicated, but appreciate any help you can give.
October 18, 2013 at 1:35 pm #408114I only got a marginal understanding of how this crazy program works, but i’ll try.
Drag/drop your CON or LIVE file into Le Fluffie’s main window. That’ll open it in Song Explorer. Go to the second tab at the top, then click on songs, then click on the songs.dta file to select it, drag and drop it out to your Desktop. Open in Notepad++ or another text editor, make the edits you want to make. Save. Make sure you don’t do “Save As” or you may end up with songs.dta.txt and you don’t want that.
Back in Le Fluffie, click on the songs.dta file again to select it, drag/drop the one from your Desktop on top of the one in Le Fluffie, it’ll ask to overwrite. Click Yes. Now back to the first tab at the top. If this was a CON file to start with, all you got to do is click Save. If it was a LIVE file when you started, and you’re not on a jtag (i.e. it was an official song you paid for), since you’re modifying it, the game will see it as a custom essentially. So make sure to change the format from LIVE to CON at the bottom and then press Save.
Don’t put it back “where it was in your usb”, as that may be the wrong folder if it was a LIVE file. Make sure you put it where you have all your other customs.
In game you won’t notice a difference unless you 1) delete your song cache and let it rebuild or 2) when you’re editing the songs.dta file above, you change the song_id field and the short name (right at the top before the name of the song).
That should do it.
October 18, 2013 at 1:49 pm #408115Thanks for the Update!!!!
It is correct now!
October 21, 2013 at 6:36 pm #408298Is there a way to get around ‘?’ being an illegal character? I’m trying to convert Arctic Monkeys – R U Mine? to Phase Shift and it’s giving me that error and not building right, it says successfully processed yet the folder it spits out it is not right at all.
October 21, 2013 at 6:52 pm #408299Next update will have that fixed.
October 22, 2013 at 3:42 am #408333And here’s the update ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
v2.3.4
PHASE SHIFT CONVERTER
- Bug fix on the song.ini creation for the proper preview start time metadata
- Further fixes to the creation of the song folders where disallowed characters would fail the process
GENERAL
- No longer using Tao.DevIL.dll or ILUT.dll (you can safely remove them if you still have them, no longer included with the program files)
- Greatly improved image handling to avoid crashes and more efficient processing
- Testing different way to enlarge/shrink images, let me hear your opinion! Better? Worse? The same? (= better because cleaner code).
October 22, 2013 at 11:48 am #408348Thanks!!
