Dude, you’re creating free playable content for the best video game on the planet, on your own free time. No need to apologize. It will all be well worth the wait.

I appreciate it. I just like keeping my word on anything, even release dates so it bugs be when I cannot fulfill it.
May 23, 2016 at 7:42 am #469196Quick update.
ZZ Top won’t be finished for some time. The most recent episode of Game of Thrones has shattered me and I’m taking a few weeks to recollect myself. Sorry.
In all seriousness, it’s almost finished, but good Lord that episode…
June 26, 2016 at 6:28 pm #471037Hiya fellas,
For those of you who have been checking my WIP, you’ll have seen my progress on the Elimiator album from ZZ Top. For those who haven’t, if you go to my WIP you’ll see my progress on the Eliminator album from ZZ Top. As you see, it’s finally almost come to fruition and as an added apology for my now one month +6-late delay from the original release (the other being the Snow Patrol song), I’ve decided to release a teaser, the 5th single from the album and the third to have a music video, “Legs”. Many of you have requested this (more than “Sharp Dressed Man” which I’m surprised about) so here it is.
The others will follow shortly.
Audio Fixes: Slight change to fade-out for somewhat hard ending.
Collaborators:
oscarj08 – Expert drums
Sideshow – Set up, tempo mapMuch thanks to the above two names for allowing me the use of their drum chart and for permission to release the full band on my thread.
Once again, very sorry for the delay but fear not! The others are coming…this time very soon.

July 1, 2016 at 8:11 am #471327So I’m very sorry but I’m gonna have to delay that release again.
Hahahahahahahaha that’s so not funny I’m tearing my hair out because it’s finally over.
*Gasp* Wait, that can’t be true, can it?
Yes, yes it is. After a month and a half past my initial release date (holy hell it’s July already?), I have finally taken my seat among Valve’s Throne o’ Delayed Launches and finally got the rest of Eliminator charted!
Because I spent so much time making these good for you guys I’ll make you suffer with a little commentary on each song that you don’t have to read but may find entertaining nonetheless.
I was originally not going to do this song until I realized the GH convert in the database was a cover! This is easily tied for my favorite song on this album and while I was tired of hearing ZZ Top by the time I started this, it was still fun to chart.
Audio Edits: Slight change to fade-out for somewhat hard ending.
I’m honestly surprised this one has never made it to Rock Band but considering most other ZZ Top songs in both RB and GH are covers I presume getting ahold of the licenses is very difficult. I finished this one rather early in the project.
Audio Edits: Slight change to fade-out for somewhat hard ending.
Also one of my favorites. It’s slow and steady and the lyrics are actually pretty sweet (in an “aww” way, not a “dude, tubular man!” way). Turns out it’s the most difficult for guitar as some of the solo bits get pretty fast.
Audio Edits: None
This one is a bit odd. All I can imagine is Dusty or Billy sitting in an ugly living room with brown 70s garb everywhere late at night playing cards with two or three other people. Listening to the lyrics it’s a good example of how sexual ZZ Top is. Not an innocent song in the least. Kinda meh in my opinion but fun to play.
Audio Edits: None
Another favorite. It changes a bit form the rest of the album in several ways. It’s calmer and has a low-key feel to it and the sound makes me picture a thug on a dark night going to get his escapee friend. The bass solos are really fun and for the first and only time in this album, no guitar solo!
Audio Edits: Slight change to fade-out for somewhat hard ending.
This is actually probably one of my least favorites. It’s kinda boring on all instruments and doesn’t offer much in the lyrics department. Whether TV dinners are a metaphor for sex (prostitutes perhaps?) or simply just talking about how bland TV dinners are. Knowing ZZ Top it could equally be either.
Audio Edits: None
Another least favorite mostly because of how ridiculously stupid the lyrics are. The guitar is very fun. Unfortunately keys are a bit harder than I want them to be (they use an auto synth so no actual keys being played here) because it would’ve been really difficult to chart it the way it was set up without having to chart each “pulse”. Play the song and you’ll see what I mean.
Audio Edits: Slight change to fade-out for somewhat hard ending.
Don’t really have much to say about this one except that it had me vow to never chart swing beats again. They’re fun to play but a nightmare to chart.
Audio Edits: Slight change to fade-out for somewhat hard ending.
This one is actually really fun. It’s probably one of the best songs from this album to play as a party. Nothing else to say about it really, it’s just…fun.
Audio Edits: None
Long post over. Thank you all for your support! Have fun with these or I swear to God I will find where you live and come over and make you enjoy them.

Looking “Got Me Under Pressure”? It was released by Nunchuck and Sygenesis to which I added pitched vocals and keys. The song is located here. If for whatever reason you haven’t already, check out their thread here. It’s got a lot of great stuff!
July 1, 2016 at 10:58 am #471333Great releases! Thanks for the hard work.
July 1, 2016 at 11:01 am #471334Do you have plans for more ZZ Top? I wouldn’t complain if you completed “La Grange”.
July 1, 2016 at 11:05 am #471335So, I just loaded these and none of these work, you’re gonna have to redo them from scratch. Thank you in advance, looking forward to hearing from you soon.
P.S. Before people don’t download the songs, IT’S A JOKE! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

July 1, 2016 at 12:10 pm #471337This is one of those posts that makes me wish I didn’t check this forum first thing when I get into work. It’s gonna be a long day, but a fun evening when I finally get to play all these songs!
Excellent work, Banshee! Thanks for the songs!
July 1, 2016 at 12:18 pm #471339nicely done
July 1, 2016 at 2:23 pm #471349I didn’t think Fridays could get any better, but this one just did. Thank you!
