Oh, that would definitely do it. They won’t play nice together. You need to merge the .mids together and use the upgrades.dta from the official pro guitar upgrade.

What version of “Paranoid” was used for the upgrade file in the latest update? For a non-export RB1 track I figure there might be a few versions floating around. Not sure if they would different enough to affect the proper use of the RBHP file.

It should be version neutral, per se.

You need to edit the songs.dta to match whatever version you have where IDs etc. are concerned, and then edit the upgrades.dta to match the songs.dta.

i can’t get the harmonies to show up in my game under the right song without showing the song twice(if i’m lucky) with the harmonies having a white album art and no preview…am i doing something wrong? i followed all the instructions for packaging, dragged n dropped into horizon with my usb device plugged up (it has half my rb dlc on it so i know it would show up) yet when i go to choose one the songs that would now have harmonies it just shows a white album art & refuses to let me play the song. i still have the files used to make the package, not sure why none of them work though (a few aren’t on my hdd or any usb device because they are from the rb2 export which i do not have)

Here is the super short list of what to do, assuming the files are going in the right places and the TUs are already there:

          1. Build dummy and upgrade packages using packager and put them on your USB drive.

          2. Unplug hard drive and plug in USB drive.

          3. Boot game and build cache.

          4. Power off Xbox and plug in hard drive.

          5. Boot game and build cache.

          6. Exit to System Settings and delete the dummy file from the USB drive (keeping the upgrades file).

          7. Boot the game and play.

Based on the behaviour you’re describing, step six is getting missed.

Hi folks, this week we’re bringing a fairly tangible, vaguely holiday-themed upgrade into the mix, to celebrate your silly little violence fueled departure from the glorious British Empire that would birth the illustrious Commonwealth.

Also, GreenPanda12 starts authoring harmonies. Please give him a round of applause!

This is a really great release week. I’ve wanted Move Along since I heard about the project. Now all that’s missing is its short piano solo. And great to hear about a new contributor. Hopefully this means more frequent releases.

Probably still on a three week rotation. Maybe twos if I get a large number of contribs, but three prevents me from burning out. I mean since I’ve started this project I’ve barely played any games, Borderlands 2 and the MMO I’m playing occasionally being the only exceptions. A three week schedule might mean that if I get done ahead of schedule I can pre-prep the next one and maybe end up with a weekend free to PLAY games.

Yes, this is a totally self-serving motive.

Hey espher, just so you know, StackOverflow sent me over a fully-charted Expert Pro Keys chart for Buddy Holly, to clean up and add reductions & animations. Should have it ready for you in a few days.

Interesting. I had one done already that had (accidentally) gone out in one of the releases, but I hadn’t reviewed it, so the quality probably sucked. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif”>

Throw it my way — it’ll probably go out with the Sept release.

I’ve searched around for an answer and I’ve tried a few different ways people have said to get this working, but my system keeps freezing.

I get everything on a usb, load it up – no hard drive. I see white boxes, harmonies visible. I put the hard drive back, boot game. Again, white boxes, harmonies visible. I delete dummy files, reboot game. Song plays, shows harmonies, select song to play, loading visuals… game freezes.

                        Where am I going wrong?
