Storebought DLC getting “Unable to load song. Skipping…” when selected

Apologies if this was covered anywhere else. I searched around but wasn’t able to find the same problem.
I used the tutorials and the Con tools to set myself up with some custom songs, and they work beautifully. The only problem is, I can’t play any of my DLC songs. They show up in the list, but have no album art or preview and give me the “Unable to load song” message before quitting out.
I tried downloading the Title 5 update and they worked under those conditions, but reverted back to not loading when I deleted and reinstalled the Title 4 update. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’d love for the entire library to be working together.
Redownload the licenses, it’s not a customs thing, it’s an Xbox thing.
What exactly does that mean? Because when I updated to the Title 5, they worked fine and I kind’ve assumed that’s what it was doing.

That would be great. The link above helped a bit, but I’m still not sure where I’m supposed to be going in the xbox dashboard to do this.

You’re not redownloading all of the DLC, just the licenses. Same amount of clicks, only a fraction of the download times.
In the dashboard, go to your Settings and then your Account. Look for Billing Options and go to License Transfer; follow the steps to do that and when it is finished, you have to go through your download history and RE-download all the songs that don’t work. It sounds tedious but the songs download in like ten seconds because technically you have them already.
It’s basically like flipping a switch when you do the license transfer and it “resets” the licenses for all the songs when you download them. Someone explained all this to me so I feel like I should pass it on.
So lame… I got my 360 modded so I could play my games from the hard drive… Didn’t realize I had my profile on auto sign in and my gamertag is banned now…
You have my sympathies, unfortunately from what I’ve seen, any decisions Microsoft makes to ban are absolute and final, especially if modded hardware is the reason.
My personal recommendation would be, if you mod a 360, never create a Live-enabled account on it. Ever. And even then, be extremely careful about letting it touch a network cable.
Indeed, X360 are touchey with modded consoles compared to PS3s and Wii. If it was only a serial ban there would be ways but if your gamertag is banned, there is simply no way of recovering what you bought.
Well tbh… Idk if it’s banned at all… I was just doing some research and the person who rghd it for me might have just disabled live from freestyle dash… I NEVER got a message saying I was banned… Just kind of assumed… I’m going to look into it later. But sorry for hijaking the thread… But I had a question that no one has answered yet…
Does it matter if the official dlc is in subfolder 00000001 or 00000002? Dlc usually goes in 00000002… But I know some of the rock band and rock band 2 dlc was working fine in sub folder 00000001
