Trying to fix some issues people have had with Uptown Funk. So here is the file. I have brought the notes down a octave seeing people are having trouble getting combos and such. It was made from a MIDI but people haven’t said any issues about it being wrong. If people are happy with this, I’ll post this as an update/fix. Please let me know what you guys think

I’m very skeptical this is the reason people are breaking combo, you can sing in any octave and the game will accept it.

No need to be sorry. I would check 2 things:

            1) Slides. Single syllables have more than a few times composed of more than one pitch. In the music MIDI file you will usually see that that is ignored or that a pitch modifier is applied to the single note, so that it bends down or up as needed. That modifier is not how Rock Band handles thoe changes. In Rock Band every different pitch is a different MIDI note, the lyrics will be a “+” sign for every note after the first syllable.

            2) Attack and duration. If you take notes straight from a music MIDI file they will be very much longer than needed and the attack will be wrong. You need to do a quick pass to eliminate at least the worst offenders by shortening notes and making the notes start when the first vowel of the syllable starts.

Personal opinion: either do the above or make all notes unpitched, because an unpitched chart is less frustrating than a chart that compels you to sing the proper pitches but fails you anyway. On the other hand, if you do the above, kudos to you, it takes patience and time to do that and it will be mcuh appreciated.

I will certainly look into it. I want my customs to be as close to complete as possible. I have noticed the things you’ve said in the songs I have worked on, including what I’m working on now. Been trying to fix them as I go

When you’re satisfied, post RPP+audio if you want me or any other admin to take a look at it.
