Hello
is it possible to use audition mode?
I’m thinking it is not possible for people that did not do rock band network songs
January 18, 2015 at 2:32 pm #436515You need an XNA subscription, which would cost you $100 USD, and is only available in a few regions. Luckily with customs you can just load them onto your Xbox with TU4, though there is no autoplay function.

Thanks
that is sad
January 18, 2015 at 3:31 pm #436518Audition mode was never designed for customs use, obviously, and probably would crash with the custom RBA files. In any case, it’s not really needed for customs, we can just play them in game as Gigakoops said. Legit RBN authors couldn’t because they were restricted to the RBA files that Magma would create.

January 18, 2015 at 6:46 pm #436530I’m pretty sure Magma C3 doesn’t generate custom RBAs that are equivalent to CONs. All it does is remove a few restrictions such as with building pro g/b tracks and the 10 minute song limit. The generated RBA file still has the original (pre-altered) DTA info which is why they still work in audition mode as RB3 only checks against the validity of that and not the other files.
January 18, 2015 at 7:24 pm #436532Song length is both beyond the original RBA limit and included in the dta file. Pro guitar/bass is not in the RBA dta but is in the MIDI file. Same for the MIDI maybe having more tracks than originally allowed.
If Audition Mode checks those it might throw a fit. It may be it doesn’t even have restrictions on the RBA file at all. I really have no idea. It’s never been something that I’ve cared about since you need TU5 to use it and I’m (and I recommend all customs players be) exclusively on TU4.
