I’m working on a song where there is literally only 2 short guitar leads totalling maybe 30 seconds. I verified this to be true by listening to a quadrophonic mix with an isolated guitar channel. It’s nowhere else in the song. Would it be better to just transfer the part to keys and leave out the guitar entirely?
If it’s 30 seconds then I would say it’s long enough to be it’s own instrument part
I agree. I have always been of the idea that in a full band game like Rock Band, there’s no reason to assign something to something else just to save an instrument track. If there’s something there to play, get it in, Polly on drums is looking at you.
RB4 needs to throw a timer over the chart when there’s nothing to do for a while. That way the player can saunter offstage for a little blow just like real life!
Yup. A favorite one at the pub is Stone Sour’s Through the Glass…and I’m on drums…I pretty much have it timed so I can eat crap for two minutes before drums come in
