Hi! This is going to be my request thread. I’ll try to have links for everything, so you can click on a song and listen to it. I don’t really expect anyone to chart all of this (or really any of this,) but I’d like to have a bunch of music you’ve probably never heard of all in one place. I’ll try to include a small write up about what you’re getting into, I’ll include things like the genre, and if the band has been in Rockband before. I’m going to limit the amount of songs by band so this doesn’t turn into some insanely long list, but if you like a band, I’d be happy to give some more recommendations. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> So without further adieu, Here it is! My super crazy long awesome request thread!

    Requests:

    The Agonist –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Technical Metalcore

Vocal Type: Growls / Clean Female

Blurb: I’d love to see some more by The Agonist in Rockband. Very technical, fast screams, super high female vox. This would be a blast. Challanging, but a blast.

    Atreyu –

Band In Rockband Before?: RB DLC

    Genre: Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: This one is a shredder, has a great pace to it. Song really isn’t anything like the song that was released through Rockband, Much more of their own sound. That last album was very label influenced.

    Beartooth –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Post Hardcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Caleb Shomo is no stranger to Rockband, having 4 songs released with his previous band Attack Attack! through RBN. He’s ditched the crabcore outfit for a very traditional Post Hardcore sound with this new band. Reminiscent of Every Time I Die.

    Beartooth –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Post Hardcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: This song has a poppy sound to it, very uplifting message. A lot of fun sounding changes with the instrumentation going on here, and some real power in those vocals.

    Call The Cops –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

Genre: ElectroRock. Think Hellogoodbye/Owl City, but faster.

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: Man o’ Man I love this band. Heard them at Warped Tour one year on the small stage where local bands play. They were amazing! This is a fast paced one, would be great all around. Highly recommend this band. Apparently they have new music in the works now.

    Eyes Set To Kill –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Metalcore / Emo

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Female

Blurb: Easily their most popular song. Great clarity in the screamer, and the female vocals give this some nice variety. Big fan.

    Escape The Fate –

Band In Rockband Before?: RB DLC

    Genre: Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Truth be told, I’ve been hoping for this one to come out since the inception of rockband. Song starts out with a nice tapping section, and there is a nice guitar solo in the middle there as well. FoF versions of this song exist. They would need work though.

    From First To Last –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Metalcore / Emo

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: So this band is coming back with Periphery’s Spencer Sotelo on vocals. Man does it sound great. He does a great job filling in for Sonny Moore/Skrillex.

    Halestorm –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Alternative Rock

    Vocal Type: Clean Female

    Blurb:

    Ice Nine Kills –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: This song is nuts. The Harmonies and the back and forth vocals, the transitions between singing and screaming. If you’ve never heard this song, Click that link. It’s for your own good.

    Icon For Hire –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

Genre: Electonic Rap/Rock – Guitar Driven

Vocal Type: Harsh Rappy Female, Clean Female

    Blurb:

Jarod Alonge – 12 Days Of Pop Punk Christmas

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Novelty, Pop Punk, Holiday

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: This is my Holiday song request! I love this song! :]

    Kozo Nakamura – Dragon Blade

Band In Rockband Before?: No, DrumMania/GuitarFreaks versions exist.

    Genre: Metal, Neo-Classical Vibe

    Vocal Type: No Vox

    Blurb:

    Life On Repeat –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Post Hardcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

    Blurb:

    Lindsey Stirling –

Band In Rockband Before?: Not Officially, Customs Exist.

    Genre: Electronic

    Vocal Type: Clean Female

Blurb: Not your typical song for Rockband. Guitar driven, great vocals by Halestorm’s vocalist. I think if the violin was charted to guitar, it’d make for a really fun chart to play.

    A Loss For Words –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Punk

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: Rockband needs more POP PUNK! these guys are wonderful, having seen them live a couple of times. always put on a great show

    A Loss For Words –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Punk

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: Another catchy pop punk song. Can’t go wrong!

    Machinae Supremacy –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Electro Metal

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: This band is no stranger to Rockband, they have tons of songs. This one off of their newest album Phantom Shadow. This is one fast paced shredfest, with some crazy soloing sections in the middle.

    Motionless In White –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: This has a very fast, older sounding metalcore ring to it. Probably be hell to play on drums. Some cool guitar work laced in.

    Nevada Rose –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Electro Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Local band to my area, Northern NJ. I think they’re great, and highly underrated. Very synth heavy, I imagine it being fun on really whatever instrument you’re on.

    New Found Glory –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Punk

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: What an amazing song by these guys. A classic, a pop punk classic.

New Found Glory – At Least I’m Known For Something

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Punk

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: A Very fast pace, some great drumming, some great vocals. An all around fun song.

    Pierce The Veil –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Metalcore, Emo

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Very fast paced. If you played Caraphanalia, their officially released song, It’s more of the same.

    Pierce The Veil –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Metalcore, Emo

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Another fast one by this band. I swear, not all of their music is quite this fast. Vocalist of Sleeping With Sirens joins in for a nice little “I hate the man” anthem.

    Psychostick –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: “Humorcore”

Vocal Type: Literal Growling, Clean Male.

Blurb: Right off of their brand new album, this song is poking fun at all of our favorite breakdown-core, RiseRecords-core music. I think I like the song more every time I listen to it.

    PVRIS –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Rock

    Vocal Type: Clean Female

Blurb: This is the kind of music that needs to find its way into top 40 radio. Infectious.

    PVRIS –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Rock

    Vocal Type: Clean Female

Blurb: Some beautiful vocal work on this one.

    Sleeping With Sirens –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Metalcore, Emo

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Short song clocking in just over 2:30, Sounding like a Pop Punk song, but with super high vocals, much higher than you’d expect from a pop punk song.

    Survive This! –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop… With a Breakdown!

Vocal Type: Mostly Clean Male, Growls

Blurb: This is a strange one. This is definitely a Metalcore band, but this is one of those Offshoot songs done as a joke. Very poppy all the way through until it escalates quite quickly and has an extremely obnoxious breakdown. Personally, I think it’s hilarious.

    Survive This! –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre:Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: Here is more of a traditional song by these guys. Note the clean vocalist’s crazy high notes. Who cares if it’s boatloads of autotune behind it, it sounds great lol

    Tonight Alive –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Punk

Vocal Type: Clean Female, Clean Male

Blurb: I’ve been rooting for these guys ever since the announcement of RBN. It just never happened. This song is an amazingly catchy pop punk song, with none other then Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 fame doing some guest work

    Tonight Alive –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Pop Punk

    Vocal Type: Clean Female

Blurb: Here is a song off of their latest album, The Other Side. Another quick pop punk song with Vocalist Jenna’s amazing vocal talent. This song sounds like a blast on any instrument you pick up.

    We Came As Romans –

    Band In Rockband Before?: No

    Genre: Metalcore

    Vocal Type: Growls, Clean Male

Blurb: What a beautiful song. This one would be a nightmare on drums IMO.

    The Word Alive –

    Band In Rockband Before?: RBN

    Genre: Alternative Rock

    Vocal Type: Clean Male

Blurb: This song is a pretty big departure from the heavy songs they released through RBN. Very straight forward, but fun sounding song.

    Fulfilled Requests:

“If You Can’t Hang” by Sleeping With Sirens is already on the RBN (I think it’s Xbox 360-only, though)

      #432882

      Is it really?

      I had no idea..

I thought the only song they had was If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn

I’m gonna go buy that now. :]

EDIT: Yep. And the downside to looking at rbnreleases.com is I can’t buy just one song. Dropped $15 on stuff I didn’t realize was released.

Judging from the all the metal/metalcore/fast pace songs on the list tells me you might like this song (that fits the game perfectly)…

April 2031 by Warrant (the song isn’t very well known, but shifts between soft acoustic guitar to heavy drum beating and guitar in less than a minute. The song describes a world devastated by nuclear war, where life can only live on via artificial means. Lasts for nearly 6 minutes. Whether the band is famous however, is up to debate. The only really big thing they really had was Cherry Pie.).

Listening to it, It’s not quite my thing. I’ve never been to much of a fan of 80s rock. Not really my cup of tea. Not a bad song by any means though.

Anyway, got a couple more of those “blurbs” written up :haw:

      #433245

      Alphabetized the list because OCD.

      Added even more blurbs!
