Where are this weeks [impossible] hints?

Not done because the list is not yet final and I haven’t had time to come up with something.

Well, with not many hints so far I’ll just say that I have another song coming this Friday that is of the same Genre and time period as my previous song. That’s all you get for now
Alright, so since a part of me didn’t like giving hints for every song owing to the fact that it also told you how many songs were coming, as well as risked giving away multiples by an artist, I think what I’ll do more often is merely pick a subset of the releases coming this week (generally but not always one song per author) when I do a song-specific hint collection like this. It also sometimes was a pain in the ass trying to come up with hints for songs I knew little about.
So, here are the hints for the artists and/or songs we’ll tease this week. As usually, we have a mix of new and old this week, and a mix of new and old in the hints. Disclaimer: Additional hints may show up or hints may be revised once I talk to authors, assuming they have something in mind.
- The members of the band behind this iconic track don’t really try to define themselves, but they sure know what they’re not about.
- As Nyx mentioned, this release has to come out on Thursday.
- Once a cover of this track hit Sesame Street, children everywhere knew that it was alright to be proud of who you are.
- Please allow her to introduce herself — she’s a woman of wealth and taste.
- Without giving it a listen, this track by an artist featured in Rock Band might be mistaken for some sort of Tom Petty/Dave Grohl collaborative follow-up.

Should I indulge myself with another hint?
Ran into a snag with the song used as the final hint, so we will be delaying it to another week (I did say this week was still kinda being hammered out — welcome to Technical Difficulties 2: Electric Boogaloo).
As far as I know the rest should be good to go.
