Looks like there’s something for everyone in these releases. Thanks for keeping the game alive!
I wanted to announce that soon the Frank Zappa Project/Object will resume activity after a long period of doormancy. Thanks to the lovely Ghostbyob for her contributions as well as my old pal nsw1-6. Does humor belong in music? We shall see
Fantastic news!
November 24, 2016 at 7:10 pm in reply to: Kloporte’s customs (11/26: Nonagon Infinity opens the door) #478044I have to say I’m shocked and pleased to see Mouse on the Keys in Rock Band. I’m sure a lot of people haven’t heard of them… but they need to.
Just wanted to add my thanks for all the Zappa work you’re doing. Recently lost my Uncle, who (like me) was a big Zappa fan, so being able to perform these tracks is cathartic for me and my bandmates.
April 14, 2016 at 1:19 am in reply to: Kloporte’s customs (11/26: Nonagon Infinity opens the door) #467040Great to see another Zappa track with full band and all difficulties. Thanks, and I echo all of the sentiments above. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
They just announced a new tier where you get all the DLC they have released. Or something, there was some bogus fine print where they said they don’t know how many songs they’ll have. $2500. Desperation.
Yeah, it’s obvious to everyone but them that this campaign is going to fail. I think this might be the demise of the entire company honestly. The VR title is ridiculous and goes against everything Rock Band is supposed to be.
@Farottone Yes, there is lag in the freestyle guitar solos as well. I really hope they can fix this stuff. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Harmonix has responded to complains about the vocal lag via their official forums. They ask that you submit a detailed report through their bug tracker so they can address the issue.

And, yes, there are tons of complaints about the lag in freestyle guitar solos as well. Hopefully they can get these problems fixed before the major patch that’s due in December.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned the MASSIVE vocal lag. It’s so bad you have to turn the mic all the way down or you’re hearing yourself nearly a second late. I thought maybe it was just me but there are posts about it all over the place and, apparently, it’s a problem on both systems. I feel like I just paid $250+ to alpha test a Rock Band game. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
September 14, 2015 at 6:35 pm in reply to: List of all announced RB4 songs – updated September 28 – U2! #454935Very disappointed with the in-game tracks this time around. I hope the career mode allows you to choose your own setlist most of the time or it’s going to be a real grind for us.
August 2, 2015 at 5:07 pm in reply to: Kloporte’s customs (11/26: Nonagon Infinity opens the door) #451866Thanks for the full band EMH Zappa. Wish there were more, since most of the folks I play with aren’t skilled enough to handle expert.
That Tubes song is one I’ve been wanting in Rock Band for years. Thanks!
Well, the video keeps screwing up about 2/3rds through so I can’t see all of it, but I have 2 comments.I’m glad they kept the character creator. That would have been a deal breaker for me. I hope they keep the options I use for my current band.
I must be half blind or something but I can’t really see the huge jump in graphic quality they are talking about. Maybe it’s because it’s a video, maybe it’s because I’m not seeing it side by side with the RB3 graphics. Or maybe it just is too subtle a difference for to me make out. I just hope that 1. The “Miranda” sunglasses aren’t up on my character’s forehead with the eyebrows sticking through, and 2. the skinny jeans don’t have a weird “WTF” crotch area, like in RB3.
Also, in the live stream, they mentioned having some info on the tour mode this week. What happened to that, eh?
Yeah, I was shocked to hear her say that they originally weren’t going to have a character creator. What the hell were they thinking?
I agree about the graphics. I can tell the textures are higher res than previous games but it’s certainly not the leap in fidelity I was expecting. The animations don’t look particularly different either, which is odd considering the game supposedly runs at 60fps. Certainly doesn’t look like it at this stage of development.
Today’s video shows the new graphics engine.

Hopefully they add some AA before it ships.
April 14, 2015 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Guitar Hero Live – New Guitar Hero Game (Xbox One And PS4) #442759This seems like nothing more than a Trojan horse to push their music video service, which is attached as an “extra” to the game.
