  • Gotta love hosting sites that promise “unlimited” space and bandwidth but then attach so many strings that they make it all but impossible to actually hold them to that “unlimited” promise.

This is why, during my brief tenure at a web hosting company that offered “unlimited” accounts, I would tell potential customers that a better word for it is “unmetered”. While you could rest assured you would never be charged extra for using “too much” storage space or “too much” bandwidth, you could still get in trouble if you were found to be a resource hog compared to your neighbors on the same server. Of course “unmetered” doesn’t sound as attractive in the advertisements, so instead they would say “unlimited” and hope you don’t notice the asterisk.

Fortunately, thanks to cloud storage, virtual servers and the like, you no longer have to lease an entire physical server to get dedicated, mostly-unrestricted storage space, so fairly-cheap options are out there.

Thanks again, Nemo, for all you do!

Yeah I worked with a hosting company for a few months and found this was odd. There really is no such thing as infinite bandwidth, storage, etc. There’s ALWAYS a limitation due to hardware and costs. These things are just quick hooks to get customers really.

Yeah looks like this fixed the problem. Thanks guys! Been worrying about this for a few weeks now.

you need 3 tracks (if I remember right) not including backing. put a silent track in crowd to fix it. also make sure all tracks except backing are silent, unless you have multitracks

I’ll try what you suggested when I have time to test it out again.

Question though: Wouldn’t this also be an issue for the multiple charts I’ve done with just drums? I have about 8 drum charts with no audio issues (no crowd tracks). Either way. Thanks for the advice. I’ll add crowd tracks in the future just in case.

I would like to clarify on adding practice sections in your song: You cannot give these sections whatever name you want (unless I’m mistaken). I found this out yesterday with my chart. Go through the Practice Sections of that doc Fugg posted. You can use any section names listed there.
