it’s also way easier to offer a free song by signing up to x than making changes to the actual game. it’s not a fair comparison
November 11, 2015 at 5:21 pm in reply to: Free song from HMX – just sign up for a gay dating app! #459133it’s a song by a band i’ve never ever heard of so i really don’t care. if i wanted to get a code i’d just use a throwaway email anyway
Hey, these look familiar. Any of the charters of these customs been able to compare their charts with Harmonix’s yet? Anything they did differently? Better? Worse? I guess at it’s core the charts will be different because of the lack of keys but still curious.
for whatever it’s worth i did a note by note comparison for somebody told me with the one we did and ours was comparatively overcharted (esp. on drums)
November 3, 2015 at 3:56 pm in reply to: DLC WEEK OF 11/2 – THE HOLLIES, IGGY POP, AND ROBERT PALMER #458726Is this the original “Lust for Life” release, or a re-record? The one in Guitar Hero was…lackluster, IMO.
it’s the original. the live version on guitar hero sucked on ice
October 31, 2015 at 5:07 pm in reply to: 2x Bass Pedal Songs (Mainly Expert+ from Metallica) #458543Specifically I would really like to see the Guitar Hero Metallica songs (Battery, please!!) with 2x Bass…
battery was also in rock band 2 so it’s never going to be in the database.
it’s extremely unlikely we’ll do 2x bass versions of those songs, maybe someone else already did them somewhere else for all i know. whatever the case, if you find the 2x bass pedal charts (maybe bluzer’s guitar hero stuff at fretsonfire has them) it should be really easy to edit the midi in reaper (just copypaste the pedal notes accordingly) and repackage the files.
October 23, 2015 at 4:15 pm in reply to: Harmonix employees have been leaving 5* reviews on Amazon #458068i’m not outraged and i don’t think anyone should be fired over this, but combining this with everything else they’ve done recently i am very disappointed in harmonix
dlc was easy to pirate on the 360 and wii so i’m sure that was a factor in not supporting those platforms anymore
September 29, 2015 at 5:17 pm in reply to: List of all announced RB4 songs – updated September 28 – U2! #456234i don’t like u2 but that’s a huge get
I expect to see the entire Songs of Innocence album downloaded onto everyone’s console automatically sometime after launch
underrated post
that’s a lot of nuts
September 23, 2015 at 7:37 pm in reply to: List of all announced RB4 songs – updated September 28 – U2! #455664nice to see more interpol in the game, it only took 7 years
I’m going to stop supporting Harmonix as a matter of course now, since I despise Apple and their culture. Why the hell is HMX making a game for a TV instead of finishing Amplitude? Or putting more features or polishing RB4? Or bringing back Chroma? Oh right, dirty Apply money.
they’re going to announce a new crowdfunded project on fig in 2015. that’s before amplitude is out. that’ll go well
the only thing I ended up keeping was the tempo mapthe tempo map seems a bit off on 81.4 (it’s noticeable on the drums chart). that’s titiln 2012’s fault. everything else looks great but i’m no playtesting expert
i proposed doing a hint thread for last week but i was rejected.
– This is an 11 song pack featuring one of Rock Band’s most requested bands.– The name of the band’s vocalist scrambled is Matt Bellaym. he also plays guitar and piano wow he can do a lot of things
– and – just a lil hint for one of the songs in this pack
– Another hint for another song: the opposite of Downdeclining
– Another song..
– This is a 3 song pack and the name of the band can be found in the first five letters of Creedence Clearwater Revival
August 28, 2015 at 4:56 pm in reply to: List of all announced RB4 songs – updated September 28 – U2! #453833RIP the one i love, looking forward to playing harmonix’s version
For this setlist rating game, do I count only the songs I knew/was excited for upon first hearing the announcement, or do I include songs that I decided I liked after listening to but before the game released?I don’t wanna do it wrong!
the way i did it is the former, songs i recognized and liked right off the bat, but the other way is fine too as long as you use that same criteria for all the games
August 25, 2015 at 10:24 pm in reply to: List of all announced RB4 songs – updated September 28 – U2! #453589thinking the rb4 setlist is kinda disappointing, i went back and checked which songs from disc games i was excited to play (not counting preorder stuff). of course after playing each game i ended up discovering and liking songs and bands i didn’t care about before, but this is the number of songs that made me go “oh i know that song and i want to play it” before release
RB1: 10/58
RB2: 14/84
LRB: 14/45
RB3: 28/83
RB4 so far: 11/51
compared to the other games it’s not terrible but it’s not amazing either
