It actually is quite complicated if…

    1) You don’t have the console and/or the desire for it

    2) You don’t have the financial means and/or are unable to acquire such

    3) There’s a difference between the custom and official release (99/100 times this is the case)

The third might be semi-negligible, the other two are not.

Anyway, sad to see more great work by gamers supporting gamers vanish, but it is what it is.

Off to find more hidden away gems and such. I’ve found a lot of nostalgia here…

    What is it?

    Girlfriend (Explicit).

I must inquire, how do you make the audio sound so good?

Is it all software, or do you also use external hardware?

I’d like to be able to separate regular songs into multi-track stems, but that’s really hard to do (unless you like really loud music).

Trying to remove frequency bands doesn’t do a whole lot either…

in reply to: Avril Lavigne Songs Request #483924

I did chart an Avril Lavigne song, however, it’s not one of the songs you listed.

in reply to: OMCB Audio Mixing/Mastering #479549

You had mentioned that you had a plan to mess with the audio of some songs, one of which I took a keen interest in.

It’s been a bit since your last update, I’m aware, but what, if any, progress have you made on

    Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend?

It’s actually a song I’ve made a custom for, but…I dunno about it (it feels sketchy)…

    Edit:

Okay, so I downloaded the Master Midi File, to find that the Band Hero DS folder…empty. Oi…

in reply to: OMCB Audio Mixing/Mastering #471869

Ah, very well then. Either way, I’ll have to wait until I can get my computer to have internet access again (my so-called smartphone downloads like crap and has very little free space to begin with).

in reply to: OMCB Audio Mixing/Mastering #471583

Have you fixed the mid files so that the BH DS charts aren’t a bunch of Hex Editor type files? I really wanna see if my attempt at charting the songs is on par or not.

Oh, and I’m still here, though I never know what the next day brings.

Been playing Skyrim a lot lately (and fighting with my retarded smartphone to type correctly).

in reply to: OMCB Audio Mixing/Mastering #463524

Mmm, that would be my aggressive attenuation level tweaking before the doing any mastering. Like you said that could introduce that noise. After dealing with the extremely loud early guitar hero stems, I got it into my head that such loud source stems needed greatly reduced volume before any editing. I’ll try working with a -10 or -15 db base instead of -25 db on future RR songs. That should reduce the noise introduction hopefully.

    If anything comes of the custom let me know, I’d love to try it out.  And jail.. x_x;

Yeah…oh and especially when you’re housed with other men (fucking misogynistic Justice System – oh, yes, I was born male)

I’m actually considering using Audacity to separate drums and bass (using Vocal Remover), but not until I work the cut a bit more (I’m quite busy with other things at the moment).

As far as the custom goes, I might try it after I complete some of the others I’ve already started (I have over 30 customs already and some I’ve neglected terribly).

in reply to: OMCB Audio Mixing/Mastering #462709

Hey I’d love a copy of that audio. I’m surprised someone finally got around to doing anything with it actually. lol

Now if only someone could make a custom of it. *cough*

I’ve fixed all the links in the 2nd post to stop them from loading the forum home page. Other than that, nothing new atm. Its a race between syncing/mastering more On Tour Tracks, and getting the rest of the on-disc songs of Warriors of Rock done for bluzer.

I should have mentioned that it is a rough cut, but it is synched-up to where it sounds good (though you can hear the lead vocalist go off pitch here and there). About the only reason why I downloaded it is because I love The Buzzcocks.

A custom chart? I’m currently working on many of them; I may eventually try my hand at this one as well. Right now, my computer is acting like a retard (that and I just got out of jail where I had spent the last 102 days – don’t ask – it is all bullshit).

in reply to: OMCB Audio Mixing/Mastering #456020

    Hey! What’s up? lol

Guess what I pulled out of my (whoops, nearly said too much!)

I figured out how to sync those Singstar Guitar songs.

I’ve got one downloaded, Ever Fallen In Love? by The Buzzcocks, and after some audio cutting in Audacity, the audio sounds great!

Question now is…would you like the synced audio?

    Hello again, mon ami.

Um, I have the midi files for everything, and I noticed for Band Hero DS, that it isn’t a notes.mid, but rather, a bunch of files with extensions such as qb, qsig, qgm, etc.

I don’t know what to do with them…?

Those are leftover raw files I uploaded, thinking it would be a while before anyone decrypted them. Thankfully, they are just leftover junk I need to delete from the file. Once Modern Hits gets finished and Band Hero gets worked on, I’ll put the proper .mid file in there.

FIXED a bunch of GH2 songs lacking their rhythm oggs. Download the coop versions and simply overwrite the old files.

So, I simply just have to wait. Okay.

I’m simply hoping I have internet next month (I might be homeless depending on how cruel Fate is).

First off, I must thank you, you’ve done an excellent job here.

    However, I have one qualm.

A song I am looking for, I cannot find, and you were as close as I had yet gotten.

    Song in question specifically:

    Game: Guitar Hero III

    Name: My Curse

    Artist: Killswitch Engage

    Tier: Bonus

I know you’re working on the Warriors of Rock project (yeah, need to separate the vocals from rhythm), but if you’d take the time to do this one song, I won’t bother ya.

    Thanks!

I don’t mind the requests for these tracks, because they are already part of my work load, so consider it done.

I fixed a missing link in Guitar Hero Aerosmith for the song, Pink. So if you missed that, go download it.

    GH3

    Kaiser Chiefs – Ruby

Eric Johnson – Cliffs Of Dover

Poison – Talk Dirty to Me

    Heart – Barracuda

    Killswitch Engage – My Curse

    WoR

    Rise Against – Savior

Rx Bandits – It’s Only Another Parsec

Silversun Pickups – There’s No Secrets This Year

Ooh, cool, thanks. Actually, I hadn’t tried to download that song yet. I’ll take a look later (after I get My Curse).
