steve25469MemberI was really excited about switching over to emulation on my PC, even got everything set up and going… then discovered the super cool 1000 song limit
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> Obviously much worse than the xbox limit, I’m just wondering if doing it through emulation could there be a possibility of finding a way around that?? I’m guessing that would probably require actual changing of the code, which would be frowned upon? Or could there be another way?I assume the 1000 limit alos applies regardless of if you put most of your songs onto SD?

steve25469MemberI thought I would try and ignite this forum post again rather than create a new one
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> But I would really love to see some tracks by Stabbing Westward. I see we’ve got two in the C3 database so far, and any of their work would be awesome. I’ll name just a few of my personal favorite tracks though :“Shame”
“What Do I Have To Do”
“Wasted”
“So Far Away”

steve25469MemberI agree, this is a good one. That’s from possibly my favorite Ozzy album. A couple other really good ones are “I Just Want You” and “Tomorrow”. I think both of those would be pretty fun in Rock Band.

steve25469MemberGreat work Bob, can’t wait to see what other stuff you release! You seem to be really good at making fun charts

steve25469MemberIt is not possible to open Xbox One or PS4 game content on your computer. The content packages require the hardware-based encryption within the game console itself in order to be mounted or extracted.
That said, if you buy Rock Band VR, you can access those files as they are simply installed to your PC hard drive and the formats used there are basically identical (with some extra extensions) to the RB4 files.
Thanks very much for the info Maxton! and yes as also stated above you can access an external hard drive containing the xbox one files, but that does nothing to give you actual access to opening the files
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Does Rock Band VR have the same purchasable DLC content as the console versions? I’m guessing even if it does I would probably have to buy the dlc again on PC since owning it on the xbox wouldn’t be recognized. lolIn any case this is all good information to have, thank you!
**EDIT**
I see the DLC content is totally separate and most of it looks like things I already own through the xbox market. lol It would still be fun to play it in VR though. haha

steve25469MemberIf the audio is encrypted (most C3 customs) you can’t get at it. Plain and simple.
If the audio is not encrypted, Audacity will accept it and you can then manually separate the channels.
You can also use Phase Shift Converter in C3 CON Tools to convert to Phase Shift format, which in the process separates the audio. Again, only if the song isn’t encrypted.
Why is the audio decryption for phase shift conversion not allowed? That would sure be a lot easier than having to go and convert an mp3 file over to the correct format and make sure it’s lined up with the chart just for use in phase shift
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Is it a copyright protection thing I guess, so people aren’t accused of sharing music?January 19, 2019 at 5:52 pm #503036
steve25469MemberSo now being able to use external hard drives to copy over and store game / dlc files, it is possible to access the song packages. Like Nemo mentioned though, they’re not in STFS format
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> So I have yet to find any software that will allow them to be opened, let alone extracted and edited or played with. I imagine at some point there will be a way, or if anybody knows of any software that will open an xbox one file even just for veiwing then I’d be excited to check it out.
