I’ll help out. I’m not even a JCS fan (more of a contemporary guy if I’m being honest), but I do like the idea of musical songs in RB3.

So, I sent a private message about volunteering to do tempo maps for you, then I had a thought. If you can extract the MIDI out of the CON file, the MIDI should have the tempo map ingrained into it. Just place the MIDI into Reaper, it’ll probably ask if you want to keep the tempo intact or something, and I suppose voila.

It’s worth pointing out that we have the original version of “21st Century Digital Boy”. The one HMX released was off of Against the Grain, which came out 4 years before Stranger Than Fiction, which I assume is the version you’re working on.

The only thing I can pick out from there is “Science Fiction/Double Feature” from Rocky Horror. And yeah, Owl City too. I’m gonna guess “To the Sky,” as it was featured in Legend of the Guardians, which showed an owl city.

Ya know, as cheesy as it seems at first thought, Ricky Martin’s hit “Livin’ La Vida Loca” really is a rockin’ song. I’d love to see it as a custom.

Is the third something from Mariah Carey? I’m pretty sure that’s Nick Cannon in the picture. I know we’ve already done “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” an the only other song I get to hear on a constant loop is her cover of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”.

Here’s the chart with animated drums. I also fixed a few spots that I couldn’t leave alone. I had to make a new sound file to really read this, though the MIDI is really all you need anyway.

 

One more thing: use the triplet grids (the ones with a “T” at the end of them) to nail those sections that have a bit of a swing to them. Also for rolls like that one on the end.

Usually the drummer only has his arms raised like that when his arms have no animation. Magma usually fills it in if there’s nothing there, so I’m not sure what’s up with that. I can fill in the animation for you, give me a few minutes.
