Okay I went in deleted all song caches, and made sure all the old pre custom saves and settings were on the Tu5 save stick.
I rebuilt the song cache just using my Rock Band 3 and the Rock Band 3 (and 2 and 1) dlc and downloaded TU5 update to get it to ‘reboot’.
That worked. The file renamed itself RB3, the RB3 dlc was working exactly as it had pre tu4 and customs.
So I back out, go to my hard drive, delete Tu5 from the 360 hard drive, make sure tu4 is on my custom stick with my customs.
Turn RB3 on, decline the update, wait for the custom songs to load into the cache, and it’s right back to doing the thing where the venues don’t animate on all post RB3 DLC, and the keys don’t work as a selectable option.
So I have no idea what to try or how to fix it. I’m assuming it has to be something on that thumbdrive that’s doing it, but I don’t know what as I’m not seeing any corrupt files, or anything out of the ordinary.
Yeah I’ll try the folder trick. How do you create a new rb3 folder? I tried to delete one of my rb3 dlc songs and redownload it in hopes that it would create a new rb3 folder but it just threw it in the second rb2 folder again instead.
No nothing is saved on my 360 hard drive in regards to customs. I was referring to the song and dlc save areas that is made by each game when you download dlc from the marketplace.
There was a rb1, rb2, and rb3 icon for all my hmx dlc on my 360 hard drive, but now the rb3 icon has turned to a second rb2 icon and none of the rb3 dlc on my hard drive or customs on my custom stick have rb3 features (keys, venues, etc).
All the customs are on a thumbstick along with tu4.
Its just the area where i downloaded all the post rb3 dlc used to be labeled as rb3, and now its renamed itself as a second rb2 dlc save slot and i have no idea how it did that or how to change it back. As i’m assuming that is the issue. That it thinks the rb3 dlc is on rb2 so none of the rb3 features will work. However that happend.
