Yeah, I checked it and it was CON. Double-checked it on C3CON before saving it, and it didn’t work.
But I solved the problem by clearing the cache, redownloading the song and uploading it without trying to change anything on the DTA (which I assume was the reason why it wasn’t working before – and I hadn’t even changed any important information, just wanted to switch the genre from “Glam” to “Metal”). Thanks for the help anyway.
If you mean separating drums from keys from vocals in Audacity, replace “easy” with “impossible for 99.999% of the songs” and you know why even karaoke versions of our songs are rare. No, I meant just the drums. I wasn’t thinking of songs with keys or any instruments other than the basics.
I had this thought because I’ve heard on YouTube some instrumental versions of songs made with Audacity. In some cases, you can only hear the vocals if you listen really hard, which is the same effect as turning the Vocal Track to the minimum in the Vocal Options (as can be noticed in Practice Mode). And most pre-GHWT songs already have a separate guitar track and bass track (not counting the lead/rhythm ones), so for many of them the only things left on the backing track are drums and vocals (again, here, not counting the ones that use other instruments, like keys). So what I was saying is, extract the vocals from the backing track to make it all drums and put the rest on the vocals track. I’m no whiz at using Audacity, but I know that separating the instruments is pretty much impossible without any kind of loss to the sound, and I also know of the method to make instrumentals, which led me to this idea. But then again, I was just saying, it’s not like I’m deliberately trying to appear stupid to the more experienced charters. So if I’m talking shit, then I’ll retreat my statement, block what I said out of my mind and we’ll never talk about this again.
As for putting up links, well… I considered it a few times, but blanched at the amount of effort it would take. If you felt like contributing, though, I would consider it.I agree about the effort thing. I may be able to lend a hand, though it’ll certainly take a while.
Um, I’m sorry that I had posted a thread about this in another board. I didn’t even realize you guys were already looking into this.
I’m still not knowledgeable at charting, so I can’t contribute much (that is, aside from song info) but if I can make a suggestion?
Whenever you work on the songs from the guitar-only games (GH1 through GHA), there’s the guitar track, the bass track (sometimes it’s lead and rhythm, but whatever), and the backing track which is drums + vocals, right?
What I’m proposing is: why not improvise a full Multitrack with these by turning the backing track into an instrumental for the drums, and then picking up the rest and making the Vocals track with it? Unlike Multitracking from scratch, this is rather easy to be done on Audacity. Not sure whether that would work well enough, but it’s an idea I had and thought I could share.
Oh, and one more thing: please put up links for non-C3 releases on the main post, if possible. It’s a bit tiresome having to shuffle through the board after this or that song.
Absolutely AWESOME that you’re bringing Iron Man back!
Too bad it’s the GH1 shortened version, but whatever works. Though I think there is an “as made famous” multitrack for the song somewhere out there – actually, I know there was one for sale on Rock Multitracks (£5 = less than $10), but it seems to be down right now, as I’ve been trying to access it to no avail.
I thought someone could author it from scratch (I’m still learning to use the tools, let alone author something), but if a full band version of this one comes out first, I’ll pick it up.
MULTITRACK LED?!?!?
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!
Seriously, words can’t begin to describe how stoked I am, even if it’s just two songs! I only hope you made endings for them (’cause both of these songs end in fade-outs on the record), and the best thing is that this opens possibilities for more multitrack Led (or maybe to go back to the previous ones and give them a multi update, but then I’ll be asking too much, I guess).
Anyway, thank you sooooooooooo much for this!
+1 here too. Would loooove to play Too Many Puppies on bass.
April 4, 2014 at 11:10 pm in reply to: clintilona’s full band customs: All songs updated (11-11-14) #417030Hey! Thanks a lot for Led’s Rock and Roll, I absolutely love this song!
But the guitar charts are way too difficult, even for a level 5! In fact, I don’t even think a devil-heads-level chart would be so hard. I mean, the Expert chart looks good (despite the chord overkill), but the Easy chart looks more like it could be Medium, while Medium looks like Hard and Hard is pretty much Expert with the odd missing note here and there.
The bass isn’t so bad, but it’s still a bit overcharted for difficulties below Expert. And I don’t talk about drums because I don’t have them.
Please revise the charts and tone them down, will you? Thanks.
Cool! Totally getting Looks That Kill! ^^
Mötley Crüe owns, and Shout at the Devil is one of my favorite albums ever!
Funny, I never had any problems with USBXTAFGUI. I’ve been able to upload my customs there and they work just fine with me. Also, it works on my old WinXP-running computer (which I usually use in conjunction with the Xbox), unlike Party Buffalo.
By the way, since it was mentioned: isn’t there any problem with having TU5 on the HD and TU4 on the USB stick? Doesn’t it generate some sort of conflict or something? Currently, I’m keeping TU4 on the HD just to be on the safe side.
Oh, right. I looked only in the C3 Database, so I didn’t know. Thanks.
Anyway, any of these others suggested in the previous post would be fine too. I’d also add Lady Writer to the list.
People still play it? I was obsessed with it when I got it but I finished it a while back and never got that into the online component.Heehee, I don’t worry about finishing the game quickly. Especially if it’s a sandbox game, I usually end up wasting time with exploring and finding side missions… ^^’ And in that one specifically, I’m still at the beginning, haven’t even unlocked Trevor yet…
Use C3 CON Tools to change it to your liking. Keep in mind the game has a limited amount of genres it will accept and they have to be formatted how it expects them, but its a matter of seconds to change it.
Thanks for the heads-up. Did that and it worked. Just had to snoop a bit around other song files to figure out how to edit what I wanted.
