And here’s a thing. If no big bugs are found, I want to think I’m done with this until at least next year. With one exception. I want to add stage kit support…and I need your help.
See, I know how to read the song files. I know how to operate the stage kit. But what’s missing is very important. How do I combine these two? Do you know how HMX uses the venue track to operate the stage kit? I don’t mean “it reads it and it uses it to guide the stage kit” – I know that. I mean, when do they decide to turn on red led 3? When do they decide to turn on the strobe or fog?
So, can one of you very smart and creative people help me out with this? I need a write up of a way to make this happen. No code, just what in the chart should do what on the stage kit.
If one of you wonderful peeps does this, I will add it to cPlayer.
Then you’ll have a music player than can handle thousands of customs at once, that can do karaoke in 4K resolution AND will liven up your party with stage kit goodness. This could easily be the next reason for your house party alone
So, who’s up to the challenge?
It’s never too late to share, I experimented with some of the lighting cues and noted the results

Thanks for taking a look at it, the dta is from this

It’s odd, deleting the ‘artist’ field in dta deletes the artist name it in those programs. However, shortening the ‘artist’ field to Weird Al displays it as Weird” Al in those programs.
I thought that too, but there is only a song title down there.
Here is an example con http://customscreators.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/amish-paradise-r432
I had that problem, python needed .NET and that required win 10. This is what finally got me to upgrade.
sorry for resurrecting such an old post, and sorry again if this has been addressed already.
this has not worked for me. i am on windows 8.1 64 bit, reaper 4.22
i have tried doing what you said with 64bit python but it still crashes, 32bit python’s installer shows this error when i try to install it
In Magma there is
Wouldn’t adjusting the HOPO Threshold make all the single notes HOPO?
It’s been awhile since I updated. Using the Upgrade Bundler, I now get an err that something went wrong extracting the upgrade.dta.
Using the pack editor to extract the midi and dta files out of it I drop them into the bundler.
Top is before and bottom is after bundling. Notes get doubled and lengthen.
Thanks and have a great vacation!
Makes sense. I already have it added ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />Thanks again!
Crazy, I thought they were one in the same. I do use the Excel tab.
There wouldn’t be a way to display the original song ID used before the game converted it, if that’s what you mean. But to tell you “this was alphanumeric and now it’s numeric because of the game” – sure. Just not very useful.
I was thinking to use it to help identify which songs are still not ‘wipe proof’.
List it where? Do you mean when exporting using the “Everything” preset for CSV or Excel? If so, easily added.
You’re right, I use export everything and then into Excel. Thanks!
If I could add one more request, it would be the Lighter Ratings.
Also, the reason why it was never considered as something worth exporting (even though it’s stored) is that the song cache stores ALL song IDs as numeric values. Custom songs with the old alphanumeric IDs were converted to numeric values, and every time you rebuilt the song cache, a new numeric value was given to that custom. So you’d just be looking at numbers.
Could there be a way to show which ones was auto converted by the game?
I never made it work with pro upgrades, but I should be able to incorporate that into v3.6.6 ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I’m a big fan of those file drop fields.
I know the data is pretty hit and miss as to whether or not it’s int he song info, but I liked having it. TIA.Here is a spreadsheet with the official song tunings.
In the Set List Manager, Is there a way to list the Song ID with out the rest of the file path?
Something I have notice is in the CON Explorer when viewing a pro guitar upgrade, the DAT and MIDI quick copy and drag buttons don’t work.
One thing about SK Lightworks scripts is no music. Luckily we have Rock Band!
You can make “scrips” in the Venue track, here are the commands I have found so far.
How cool would it be on Halloween to be able to set a scary sound effect CD on repeat and have the stage kit be synced up to it all night?
Check out the note marker on A6 (105) at 2.1.390
A phrase marker must begin on or before the start of the first note that is to be included in the phrase, and end on or after the end of the last note of the phrase. The minimum length for a phrase marker is a quarter-note.
I had the same problem when I window snap, This is the option I use…
In the MIDI Editor > View > Piano roll timebase > Project Beats
