Farottone you are the fucking man! …ok I guess I’ll have a rockband party tonight!
Seriously though thank you ALL!
Ok I have a man crush on Farottone
Don’t Cry
Live and Let Die
and one of the best Rock songs ever recorded November Rain (which is hard to say because of Axl’s doucheness)
Thanks to everyone else too, great packs!
People bitching about free custom songs, that other spend countless hours producing is idiotic. Thanks for all the songs c3 has come out with, they have gotten me back into the game. Nothing like a few beers and blowing off some steam playing new songs in rockband after a long day at work dealing with asshole customers.
fyi… for some reason hey ho and night swimming didn’t show up for me.
Here’s an eclectic group of bands that would play well in RB that do not currently have any songs in. Lots of good Self Loathing lyrics if your into that sort of thing too ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Ben Folds Five – Army, Selfless Cold Compossed, Satan is my Master (Probably a pain in the ass to chart though because of all the piano)
Days of the New – Shelf in the Room, Where I Stand, Die Born
Afghan Whigs – Debonair, Fountain and Fairfax, What Jail is Like
I’m guessing Arcade Fire didn’t meet the regulation in some way.
+1 on “Wheel In The Sky”. It would be a fun one on drums. Also, “Anytime/Feeling That Way” from the same album (Infinity).
The Foghat song makes me wonder why “Slow Ride” (GH3) hasn’t ever been redone.
Also, “Anytime/Feeling That Way” from the same album (Infinity).Damn I forgot all about that. Very fine.
I just had an Oh yeah, I love that song moment ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> . Thats what I get for listening to the greatest hits, instead of the actual albums.
Here’s a favorite new rockband (that sounds old), maybe someone is into them.
The Alabama Shakes
Always Alright –
Hold On –
Heartbreaker –
70s wish list, maybe someone’s into any of these.
Brain Damage/Eclipse – Pink Floyd
Bad Company – Bad Company
Life on Mars – David Bowie
Locomotive Breath – Jethro Tull
Red House – Jimi Hendrix
Life’s Been Good – Joe Walsh
Wheel in the Sky – Journey
The Needle and the Damage Done – Neil Young
50 Ways to Leave your Lover – Paul Simon
I Just Want to Make Love to You – Foghat
Heaven and Hell – Black Sabbath
First off, Zeppelin, Floyd and Radiohead in consecutive weeks is exactly what rockband needed!
So who am I to request anything, but it is a great thread and I love the lists of songs. Maybe some of these will spark some interest/memories. Instead of alt 80s, I’ll go with some great hair bands (mostly 80s) -before Nirvana ended it all ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Journey/Separate Ways (83′ Its seems like the game is lacking some Journey)
Tesla/Little Suzi (87′ First studio single)
Scorpions/Still Loving You – (84′ a little long but an epic power ballad)
Badlands/Winter’s Call – (89′ My favorite OZZY guitar player ever! Jake E Lee’s other band)
Winger/Headed for a Heartbreak – (89′ Kip Winger may be the biggest poser ever…but I admit to liking this song)
Blue Murder/Jelly Roll – (89′ one hit wonder, john sykes solo project, ex whitesnake guitarist)
Dangerous Toys/Scared – (89′ Little known song, was number #1 on Headbangers ball for about 15 minutes)
Steelheart/I’ll Never Let You Go – (91′ Red devil vocal range)
Dokken/Alone Again – (85′ Another power ballad, George Lynch underrated guitarist)
Warrant/Uncle Tom’s Cabin – (91′ still a very cool song)
Skid Row/Quicksand jesus – (91′ May be their best ever, imo.)
Kingdom Come/What Love Can Be – (88′ Obscure, and a rip off of Zeppelin, but who’s better to rip off!)
fyi…rateyourmusic dot com is a pretty cool site for music info (and no I don’t work for the site)
