Hmmm… I had an interesting case, where I changed my display name on the forum shortly before the migration. Said display name works here, but I need to use the old one to access the Universe site, and nothing has changed on that side of the fence in terms of the username being updated. The token is correct on this account, to let me into the Universe site with the old name, though.
November 2, 2020 at 7:41 am in reply to: (Nearly) Unlimited ‘game_origin’ categories for TU4 #514911Wild shot in the dark here, but would it be possible to package up an altered version of the strings file as an Xbox save game, with the structure mirroring that of the game file package? That way, if the game reads in the “savegame” and it overrides the file, it would be possible to add your own tags without needing to hack the executable. You could also pack updated songs.dta for (for example) the Blitz songs. It would break the ugc_plus check mentioned above, though.
shit my pants ! john farnham god yes……whos going to be singing this raise your hands !Have to be perfectly honest…I have never heard of this guy before this thread. I’m 40 years old and am reasonably versed in mainstream music released between 1960 and today. I’m also American.
There’s your problem – in the USA, he was a bit of a one-hit wonder for this song. In Australia, however… he was huge for years. Was also the first stadium concert I ever went to.
Having some issues with the Corrs track – the album art is broken in Visualiser, and the Song Analyser can’t make head or tail of it either (Album Art Format: UNKNOWN).
Here’s what it comes up as:
But the bigger issue is that the song filename (runaway) was already used by HMX (for the Bon Jovi song). I’ve compiled a new version with the filename “runawaycorrs”, but it’s probably worth updating. Also, running it through the MIDI cleaner gave a few issues with drum fills overlapping OD phrases – might want to fix that.
Yep. 5:25am here. Been bashing away at this all night – I got an urge to play this song, so I decided to polish it up and put it out there. Then when I got to playing it, the Wiimote in the GH guitar I have for the PC doesn’t work… and there’s no way I’m daring boot up the 360 at this hour.
OK, after throwing the package through cPlayer I noticed a little bit of a mistake. Namely, that I’d forgotten to render the harmonies stem onto backing for this version. I’ve updated the CON and Phase Shift versions. There are NO chart modifications in this update – it’s purely an audio fix. The project file updates will be up shortly.
April 29, 2015 at 1:32 pm in reply to: RB:HP 03/27/15 Release – DKs, E6, Vines, Raconteurs, Coheed, SpongeBob, +14 RBNPD! #444095One little issue I noted in the upgrade pack for this release – the Pro Guitar version of Holiday in Cambodia doesn’t extract correctly. Make sure to put the files in “holidayincambodia” – the .zip extracts them to “holidayincamobia“.
Your best bet, if you’re OK with only having access to the 2x bass version, is use the same method the RB:HP project uses to install upgrades; however, instead of having harmony upgrades, you’d be putting in a replacement drum chart. If you go this route, you won’t have to lose the multitrack – but for all intents and purposes, the game will not know the difference between the 2x and non-2x versions.

Apologies for the necro, however I anted to state that I’m working on a multitrack of Planetary (GO!). Planning on putting it through C3 if they want it, otherwise I’ll just release it here. Just need to do vocals, keys and pro, and reductions.
I don’t believe that the MadCatz version was released outside the US (apart from Games on Demand), so you should be good with most any PAL disc. But best to check if it has the EA logo anyway.
