EDIT: Also, yes, the imgur pics for the new tracks look weird… I was having issues with the CON Visualizer. Not sure what the deal is…

 

The only time I’ve seen Visualizer images come out messed up is if you have zoom enabled on Windows (instead of 100% default you have 125% or 150% larger selected as an option).

Huzzah? Three new tracks from Radiohead (finally) and, in case you missed it before, Preview Videos now included for each track! See the chart! Hear the song! Tremble and despair! err… not the last one.

 

And – aside from the other announcements a couple days ago – I’ve also changed my policy on collaborations and how I chart my tracks, all of which can be found in the main post.

 

I’d love to do more Radiohead in the future (plus a ton of other stuff), but I’m not sure if I can quickly crank out new charts like I did at first. I will do my best though! Thanks for looking.

1) Just a reminder that – thanks to the hard work of Dash Riprock & BobQuentok – “California” by Phantom Planet is now Full Band!!! Including harmonies & pro keys!!! The front page has been updated as well (for real this time… no idea what happened last time).

A couple updates:

 

1) Just a reminder that – thanks to the hard work of Dash Riprock & BobQuentok – “California” by Phantom Planet is now Full Band!!! Including harmonies & pro keys!!! The front page has been updated as well (for real this time… no idea what happened last time).

 

2) Full preview videos of the drum chart for each song!! I’d love to have been able to show the full band capabilities of “California” but unfortunately I do NOT have access to Audition mode. Also, my usb splitter long ago went kaput.

 

So instead, watch me flail through songs as I manually play through them (and hoo boy am I rusty!) If you like some of the songs I posted, take a chance on some of the stuff you haven’t heard, you may fall in love with something new!

 

3) Several fully revamped charts! The 2 biggies are:

– Modest Mouse – “Ocean Breathes Salty” – my first chart, but I’ve learned a lot about drum authoring techniques since then. This one had quite a few mis-timed notes, some missing notes, and also I switched the crash patterns over to hi-hat (as they always should’ve been, but had stubbornly resisted).

and

– Taylor Hawkins – “Louise” – I thought the rhythm was way more complicated than it really is, specifically the bass drum pattern; so it’s simplified now… relatively speaking. Also corrected all the fills in the middle.

 

Plus, I fixed the bass drum patterns at the end of The Zutons – “Pressure Point”, and fixed 2 of the triplet-y fills in the middle of Foo Fighters – Next Year.

 

4) And finally, a few new songs coming soon!

Same here. I really wish I could, but it’s virtually guaranteed I would butcher it (along with guitar, etc.)
