Thanks. I forgot to properly introduce myself though, hi! I’m crazycoolcat5, a Weird Al fan, Sonic fanboy and horror game player. I have to thank you though, for the Superflous Motor track. My goodness that was hard! You can chat with me if you ever want to on my Off-Topic discussion discussion thread in the General Discussion area if you want. We got a contest where you make your own country. The longest and most elaborate won wins!
I’m happy to try Ambient Stalactite Boogie, so I hope you stay around for a long time.
Nice to meet you, and thanks! I plan to be here for a very long time, I have a lot of RBN conversions to put out here plus other things I want to release. As for Superfluous Motor, he’s all for customs so if there’s any other of his songs you want to see come out through C3, let me know and I can make it happen! (Shattered Groove is already confirmed by the way, I’m putting that one out in its entirety.)
To expand on that. If people don’t want any existing material that I’ve put out there, but have interest in stupidly hard songs. I’d be more than happy to make exclusive songs for C3. I can’t promise that they’d be musically interesting, but I can certainly make songs that will put your skills to the test. I take requests too. Want a 15 minute long space funk jazz track that has an 8 minute guitar solo? Sure no problem, it might not be interesting to listen to, but it will definitely give your hands some horrible cramps if you go for the FC. Want a song that has challenging extended solos for all instruments? Sure no problem. Just say the word and I’ll have it done. I have the stems for everything on my Bandcamp page so if anyone wants to see any of that in Rock Band, just say the word.
For those of you who have enjoyed anything I’ve created or helped create, thank you!
Well, at first glance this week seems light to me. Which is odd seeing as I am an avowed Classic Rock fan. But I’m also a generationally removed classic rock fan ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />I have yet to get into ELO so this week is a good excuse to do that. I guess we already have some so that makes me remiss in checking them out. My fault.
Baby Come Back is a guilty pleasure ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Not sure I even know the Robert Palmer song. Hopefully it’ll be an ‘oh that song!’ moment.
I’ll probably be burned at the stake but, Deep Purple never did it for me.
What the heck is Superfluous Motor?
I’ll come back after I preview the songs I don’t know and make a new report. Because, of course, you all require such a thing.
Hello,
I’m Superfluous Motor (or at least I make music under that name). Schizophrenic Seizure is a tune I collaborated with Paolo Viteri (the guy who runs/ran Chart Toppers Authoring), it was written specifically to be a demanding and difficult song to play in Rock Band, if you give it a try I hope you enjoy playing it! It’s pretty different from the stuff I usually make (which is a mixture of progressive rock, funk/fusion, and jazz). If that sounds like something you’d like to hear or play as a custom, check out some of my other stuff. I plan on providing stems for future customs, if anyone has suggestions I’ll probably get started on getting the stems together for whatever is suggested first.
September 12, 2014 at 4:22 pm in reply to: Would Anyone be Interested in Keys Heavy Instrumental Progressive Funk Music? #429085I released a new album, all the songs blend into each other seemlessly. It would be cool as a 55 Min continuous track if someone was crazy enough to chart it.
Hey Everyone,
I was informed that some of my music might interest you. I have a little project called Superfluous Motor, the tracks are all instrumentals and very Keys heavy. The music is mostly Funk and Progressive Rock inspired, but I don’t really stick to any specific genre.
I’m not sure if they would be any fun in Rock Band, but if anyone is interested in charting them I’d be more than happy to provide the Stems and even any Midi files I have on the tracks (which is pretty much all instruments). I tried charting them myself, but I’m very very very very very very bad at it.
Thank you in advance for reading this post and listening!
If you like any of it, you can also download and listen to most of my stuff free at http://superfluousmotor.bandcamp.com/. There is also a few songs there that I had to remove from SoundCloud due to the max upload minutes limit.

Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying it! I’ll share my stuff in your thread too!
July 18, 2014 at 4:19 pm in reply to: Would Anyone be Interested in Keys Heavy Instrumental Progressive Funk Music? #424872Say didn’t you try to get some of your songs released on RBN before it went down the drain? The name and musical stylings looks familiarGuilty, you got me! I had everything signed off, sent, and ready to go. Then RBN had the plug pulled, I was pretty bummed when that happened. I’ve been enjoying C3 customs ever since the plug was pulled and was hoping maybe someone here might be interested in playing some of my songs in Rock Band.
Yes!!! I couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve wanted this album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FpjcItI8q4 in Rock Band since Rock Band was first announced!
