A great man once said to live every week like it’s Shark Week, and with BearzUnlimited‘s help, you can make every day Canada Day, too! Rock legends Rush return to C3 this week with a three-pack of career-spanning hits: “Bastille Day” from 1975’s Caress of Steel, “One Little Victory” from 2002’s Vapor Trails, and the multitracked “Headlong Flight” from their newest outing, Clockwork Angels. These tracks feature every Rock Band element you’d look for in a Rush song, and are excellent additions to your library. Thanks, BearzUnlimited!
Not to be outdone by over 17 minutes of Rush, clintilona makes his C3 debut with Grand Funk Railroad’s “I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home)”, a 10-minute-long escape into an epic of folk/blues/prog rock. Try your hand at some deceptively tricky chord progressions on guitar, croon out your best Mark Farner, or settle in for the long haul on drums.
Finally, but in no way less significant, drummerockband crashes the party with the booze-soaked refrains of “Beer”, Reel Big Fish’s very first song in Rock Band at all. Ska is sorely underrepresented in our game, and “Beer” kicks the prog rock tracks in the jooblies with its classic ska-punk riffs and chorused vocals. (And Pro Guitar/Bass, courtesy of columbo777!) Close out your next Rock Band party with this one — as long as you don’t mind some broken furniture.
