Not Craigslist, but I just got a really good condition RB2 drumkit with two pedals from the local flea market for a fiver.

Flea markets are really good places to go to sometimes but gotta be careful… Not everything at a flea market is working.
Speaking about drumkits… I bought my wireless kit for 20 dollars from my friend and then found a RB2 pro-upgrade (two cymbals) at gamestop for another 10-ish dollars… Then ended up trading said kit for a wired kit with someone from craigslist (which I wanted to do. Been playing drums more often now).
June 19, 2014 at 1:38 am #422812And I’m back with a new Craigslist deal!
This time I got:
– Rock Band 2 drums in excellent condition with its original (reinforced) kick pedal and two Rock Band branded drum sticks
– Rock Band microphone
– Rock Band Stratocaster Wireless Guitar that is missing the strap and battery cover
– Guitar Hero 4 Wireless Guitar that is missing the battery cover
They were asking $29 for everything…I gave them $30 because I’m generous like that
I would have gladly paid the $30 just for the drums, which is what I was looking for to have as a backup. The two guitars and microphone were a nice bonus. The guitars are probably going to be gifted to friends as I already have too many and these were not the select few I’m looking to add to my collection.

June 23, 2014 at 12:20 am #423289I think I may have a bit of a Rock Band hoarding problem.
Today from Craigslist I got:
– Rock Band 2 drums + re-inforced kick pedal
– Rock Band 2 stratocaster black and white
– Rock Band 2 stratocaster wooden look (but not the wooden model)
– Rock Band microphone
– Rock Band 2 game
– Guitar stand
All for $30. Couldn’t pass it up.
The drums are in perfect working condition (cleaned and tested) but two of the toms have big bubbles in the center. I’ll see if I can fix it, but these are the backup to the backup, and do work flawlessly so I’m not too concerned.
The guitars are physically and aesthetically in excellent condition, but neither one worked because the previous owner had left the batteries in…after some cleaning, scrapping, and re-soldering of the connections, now they both work ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
I’m still missing a few things, but the collection is coming up nicely. And to make it even better…we just got a storage space to keep all the extras that aren’t staying at home. I want backups but don’t want clutter
Also, drove by a Goodwill so thought I would check it out. My first thrift shop and look what I spotted:
Nothing great, but hey, not bad for my first store. I’m looking forward to checking out more next weekend.
From there I only got the stratocaster guitar. It was for Wii. I took the battery cover, strap, strap screws and back cover for the top of the neck, and completed/improved one of my stratocasters with it. All for $3.
Too much fun in one day
June 23, 2014 at 12:25 am #423294I can’t find shit locally because most pawn shops won’t take it.
June 23, 2014 at 12:29 am #423295Screw pawn shops. Everytime I come across one of them on Craigslist they want $50-60 per guitar. And see all I get for $30 buying from people. I’m sure there’s got to be Craigslist pages for Canada, no?
June 23, 2014 at 2:12 am #423310People selling on Craigslist are occasionally idiots (in a bad way, not the nice ones where you jump on a good deal), and think they can sell things like wired guitars/drum kits for $60 each.
I went to the flea market earlier, and for $10 got a working GH:Aerosmith Les Paul, RB2 Strat, RB2 drumkit (barely any wear on the drums, base had paint on it, no kick pedal), and a GH:WoR guitar. Cleaned and tested all of them, took off some battery corrosion with some vinegar. He initially said $5 each, or $20 for all four, I said I only wanted the WoR guitar and drum kit, and he threw in the others. Yay.
And I hear you on the hoarding. I have eight or nine RB2 drum tops in my room, I’d say four or five of them are 100%, and the rest have some minor issue (one non-working pad, non-receptive cymbal port, unless my yellow cymbal was just having issues).
June 23, 2014 at 2:19 am #423312I haven’t been to a flea market in years. Sounds like I need to pass by. WoR guitar is one im sorely missing from my collection. That warhammer one was sweet but only ps3 and I’ve never seen it on sale locally. Might get it if I ever see it just because of how cool it looks.

Might get it if I ever see it just because of how cool it looks.I used to focus more on older games, and keep a spreadsheet on my phone for keeping track of what I already have. Then I went “Oh shit, my controllers get worn out by inconsiderate/excitable people at cons, I should probably replace them for super cheap”. Now I just need to hoard some RB3 cymbals since MadCatz doesn’t stock them.
June 23, 2014 at 2:52 am #423314I’m sure there’s got to be Craigslist pages for Canada, no?Well there’s Kijiji, which where I live there is almost always Rock Band stuff being sold.
June 23, 2014 at 2:29 pm #423332You’re lucky because in the UK rockband stuff (includes the games, the instuments) are very very hard to Find.
I’d go so far as only seeing 1-2 rockband 3’s in the wild per year (on 360 + Ps3) and don’t forget the Madcatz Rockband 3 disc never come out here. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
June 23, 2014 at 10:10 pm #423345Picked up many at garage sales for super cheap, some have hardly been used. The most I have paid is 20 bucks for a brand new Warriors of rock guitar, the one with the wings. Even though I am not a fan of the rockband strat they seem to be everywhere around here & the most I have paid is 10 bucks for a strat.
Our local trade & sell closed down recently & had literally hundreds of broke, not working guitars. Many of them found there way to my home for FREE. I have parts coming out my ying yang.
June 23, 2014 at 10:11 pm #423346Man that’s exactly the one I want for my collection. WoR guitar with wings. I had one back when I started with the Wii. Never had a chance to buy one for the xbox

Never had a chance to buy one for the xboxTo me it is by far the sturdiest & best GH style & No removable neck. I have literally strummed the snot out of it, spilled/dribbled some captain & cokes on it & dropped it several times & it still plays good.
I did see a few on Ebay for around 50 bucks, to me they are worth that easily if they work.
