Microsoft has confirmed it, you can play your xbox 360 games in your xbox one at not aditional cost. Games developers and publisher have to approve what games are going to be compatible. You can vote for your the 360 games you want to play in xbox one.
Of course I will love playing rock band 3, I went to that voting. Bad news for me: Microsoft said that rock band (as well as guitar hero) won’t be on xbox one due the hardware requirements. That changed my mind of buying an xbox one.
Harmonix haven’t said nothing about that, but since old instruments will be compatible with rock band 4, they have to work for rock band 3.
I’m so sad about this. I will get an xbox one sooner or later, but I will preserve my 360, after all, rock band 3 is the game I play and like the most.
The thing that really worries me is the day that xbox live disappear for xbox 360 and I could’t play rock band 3 with my friends.
I’m keeping my 360 no matter what myself so no worries here but I am hoping to get a few other games on Xbox One from my 360 due to other things they’ve confirmed.
Where can you vote anyways?

Im a beta tester for the Xbox One backwards compatibility. I havent been able to sign on because we just moved and am still waiting for my internet to be set up. I’m kind of a game collector so I wont be getting rid of my 360 but it will be a lot more convenient to be able to play all of my old games with the upgrades of Xbox One…. mostly the game DVR tool.
This is a new cool feature but I will never get rid of my xbox 360 solely because I don’t see customs being playable on the xboxone for a long time.
