Right now I have Hayley Williams and Rick from Rick and Morty playing in my band. I added the “Riot!” album cover and used it for her T shirt. What characters have you guys made? Has anyone made Rivers Cuomo?

I made James Hetfield once, that was fun but most of the time i don’t really play with the character maker.

My band right now is a recreation of the band Gorillaz. There are some compromises that had to be made due to the character editor’s limits (most notably, 2D’s eyes), but I think they came out pretty well.

Previously I had a set of characters based off characters from Valve games, including Gordon Freeman from Half-Life, Chell from Portal, Ellis from Left 4 Dead 2, and the Heavy from Team Fortress 2.

That’s sick. You get to see Russell rap during Clint Eastwood.

My friend makes amusing characters. When he played RB3 he made a character dressed as a superhero called Bob Someguy (the initials were “BS”, unfortunately RB3 character creation doesn’t allow for a customizable emblem). His current singer for RB4 is called Jörgenvald and as the name suggests he’s a beefy tough-looking German who causes many laughs when we choose a song like “Less Talk More Rokk”.

My characters aren’t terribly interesting, just two guys and two girls dressed like normal people. The four of us are the same in every incarnation I’ve made a character (RB3, Unplugged, RB4). However my bassist has always been a greaser with a vintage baby blue jazz bass.

Why not just use C3ConTools to add a picture of an emblem? That’s how I added the Riot T-shirt. Or am I misunderstanding?

This was long before I even knew C3 existed.

My drummer is based heavily off of Animal. The backstory explanation is that Animal was his musical inspiration, and patterned his playing style and look after him. But mostly, it’s hard to make a RB3 character look like an actual Muppet, so I had to explain that somehow!

Did he ask you to give him a dollar every time you played a song with his character?

I forget… Was it Lowlander2 that made that Cassie Cage look-a-like when I saw those C3 release videos? I remember commenting on that once.

Is there a way to import images or did you make that Riot shirt by hand?

My current characters are just made by me and my friends, they’re meant to resemble us, but at the same time, we’ve edited each others characters when nobody is looking for reactions so they are pretty different to when we started.

I did it awhile ago, but if I’m remembering correctly, use the Save File Image Extractor in C3ConTools and just replace the images in-game with a picture you want to add. Again, I’m fuzzy on the details, but I think I just made several tattoos with really simple designs (just like a black square or something) and then replaced them with things like the Riot design. Then, on your rocker, you can use the tattoo designs on select t shirts and even guitars. I actually was able to customize my in-game guitar to look exactly like my Coldplay guitar: http://imgur.com/RNS620z

Huh. I remember trying that but it just froze my game on loading the save file. Maybe I did something wrong or something

Do you know if they show up online too or do they only show locally?
